When you have finished warming up on land the Great Barrier Reef beckons with several tours leaving daily from the pier, ten minutes walk away.

In the evening every dining appetite is catered for from fine dining to a gourmet pizza bar or if you enjoy cooking there is always fresh sea food and vegetables available for you to design your own meal in the comforts of the well appointed kitchen.

Port Douglas has several hotels and bottle stores with two local supermarkets and many specialty stores. If you love playing golf there are numerous golf courses in Port Douglas and surrounding areas.

Four mile beach is equipped with stinger nets to ensure safe swimming all year round or if walking interests you more, there is a challenging hike to the top of the lookout where you get an amazing view of the peninsula and surrounding area.

So no matter if you want to put your feet up and rest or get amongst it this is the holiday destination for you.
