Welcome to Port Alfred in the Eastern Cape where the Kowie River flows into the Indian Ocean. We have fantastic endless beaches and the most sunshine hours in the country. It's a perfect destination for a relaxing or active holiday - whether water sports like scuba diving, water skiing, board surfing, deep-sea fishing, boating etc., golfing, horse riding or just relaxing!

Our accommodation is located north of the golf course, about 800m from the beach, and in 5 min. by car you are in the city center or our Rosehill Mall with a variety of shops and restaurants.

The accommodation offers 1 main bedroom (queen size bed) with sea view, 1 living room with small dining area and kitchen unit, 1 bathroom with bath and shower, 1 separate toilet room, 1 "sunroom" with an additional double size bed and dining area. From here you have access to your private pool area with sun loungers, outside furnitures and BBQ grill/braai.

The rates are different with 2, 3 or 4 guests.

The accommodation is equipped with flat-TV, DVD player, hairdryer, fan, fridge, 2plate induction stove, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery. Towels and bed linen will be provided. Washing and maid service possible, ask for it. Should you need anything else please let me know. On request we fill your fridge for the 1st day with the essentials.

The two malls make grocery shopping quick and easy and even gives the option of browsing through a variety of shops. The river is a real attraction in the town, offering plenty of activities for the active and the not-so-active. With river cruises, water skiing, canoeing, paddling and river-side dining, it is definitely the place to be. The beach is perfect for walks in the sunny winter days and lovely for swimming and tanning in the summer. Port Alfred is close to Port Elizabeth, East London, Grahamstown and Bathurst for those looking for an excursion. The surrounding countryside has thousands hectares of malaria-free game reserves, many hiking trails and historical and scenic places to visit. The land is wild and beautiful and the scenery spectacular... so get out and explore!

Why can't I call Brigitte (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Brigitte (the owner) a message.

If Brigitte (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
