Description
Tanglewood is less than a mile from the friendly Exmoor National Park village of Porlock, with its excellent range of shops, pubs and restaurants. Well-equipped and cosy, and with wireless internet access, the cottage has a large private garden bordered by a pretty stream. It offers easy access to coast and moor, with excellent opportunities for walking and site-seeing.
Tanglewood is a detached cottage on a quiet track in Hawkcombe Woods, a National Nature Reserve - so it provides peace and seclusion, while being within an easy walk of the village.
It has two bedrooms: one with a king-size bed and the other with two single beds. It has a well equipped kitchen, large lounge with cosy wood-effect stove and dining area and a sunny conservatory that allows you to enjoy the views across the valley whatever the time of year.
Outside, there is a raised terrace with table and chairs that overlooks the garden, as well as a table and chairs at the bottom of the garden, from which you can listen to the rush of the stream. Up to two well-behaved dogs allowed downstairs and the grounds are fully fenced so that they can play. There is an additional £25 charge for up to two dogs.
Tanglewood is usually booked from Friday to Friday, although we may be able to offer flexibility on change over day at Christmas - please contact us for availability and price information.
