- Very Good
Three of us had a fabulous stay at Gibson cottage over New Year. After the hectic Ness of Christmas, it was the perfect retreat. So close to amenities of Penrith, and perfect for access to Ullswater and the northern fells. The cottage is warm, cosy, very comfortable has everything you need for self catering. The beds are also fabulous The pub in the village is lovely, the village is very welcoming. Suzanne couldn't have been more helpful. We look forward to returning.
Loved our time at the cottage, it was so quiet and peaceful. It has everything there that you would need and the owner is so helpful. If you need to recharge your batteries this is the place to come.
Thanks Donna for the lovely review, means a lot to us and so glad you enjoyed the break. Best wishes Suzanne
Our stay at Gibson Cottage was wonderful and relaxing. Everything had been thought of, with attention to detail and a lovely country feel. Thank you Suzanne, we'd love to stay again sometime!
Thankyou Pippa , so glad you enjoyed your stay.
“A fantastic, peaceful, and quirky little cottage, ideal holiday location.”
Gibson Cottage was an absolutely fantastic place to stay in. Secluded and quiet, but in an ideal location for travelling round the tourist spots. The cottage itself was atmospheric and so cosy and snug to come back to after a day of travelling. We had everything we needed to cater for ourselves, but the Kings Head just a couple of minutes walk away served really, really excellent food at a very good price if we couldn't be bothered to cater for ourselves. We had a peaceful, relaxing, week and I can recommend this accommodation to anyone.... word of warning!!!. do not sit in the rocking chair in the bedroom if you are planning on going out.... you won't make it out of the front door. lol.
Dear Joy and Ray, Thankyou for the lovely comments and so glad you enjoyed your stay and were able to relax and enjoy yourselves. Ill let the pub know they did a good job too! Do come back as you were an absolute pleasure to host. Thanks again. Best wishes Suzanne
“Wonderfully cosy cottage”
This is a delightful cottage! Well equipped with everything you might need for a peaceful stay in the lakes. The cottage is ideally situated just off the A66 and M6 with some lovely walks straight from the doorstep. The cottage is tiny but with a huge open fire- perfect for lounging by on a cold winter's evening with a glass of wine after a long walk. The rooms are tastefully decorated with lovely low beams and thick stone walls. I would highly recommend staying in this lovely little cottage- I don't think you will find a more restful, quiet and cosy place in the lakes!
Many thanks for the lovely words. So glad you enjoyed your stay.Do come back and see us again soon.Best wishes Suzanne
