“Look no further if you want a great place to stay in a lovely part of Poole”

Reviewed 29 Mar 2014

A spotless and well appointed environment that we all immediately felt comfortable in. Usually we would stay in a Premier Inn but with eighteen month old twins this wasn't practical. Angel Mews was fantastic and even met with my mother's approval, as she had been a little skeptical about a holiday rental and doesn't really do the internet to check out pictures and reviews.

“Perfect house in great location”

Reviewed 19 Sep 2013

This house contains everything you could possible need/want for your stay, plus a lot more! There is even a small outside area (which I'm told by a couple staying a few doors down that we were lucky to have, as they had nothing). There were 6 adults + baby on our visit and we found the space/layout worked well for us. There is 1 parking space next to the house. If travelling with more than one car, there are various multi story car parks. Long stay, etc... However we 'hired' a couple of private spaces via Internet which worked out a lot cheaper for a week stay (and only a few mins walk from house). Perfectly positioned for everything Poole has to offer - just a few minutes stroll takes you to the harbour and the many pubs, restaurants, etc.. a 10min walk will take you to Poole Park with its lake, mini train, crazy golf...(passing shopping centre on way if you so wish!). Would definitely return.

We would be delighted to welcome you back in the future. So happy that you had everything you needed and the location suited you all. We also have another property called Dolphins which is just over Poole Bridge and very close to SANDY Hamworthy Beach, again a three storey townhouse (with garden) that we purchased in June 2013 and already getting booked up well. Kind regards, Julie (property owner)07427 603678

Superb property in excellent location and very well furnished. Walking distance to Poole Quay and all local shops and other amenities. Extensive welcome pack which was nice touch - homemade bread and cake were delicious!

So happy to hear that you had a relaxing and comfortable stay at 5 Angel Mews, Poole. We pride ourselves on Customer Service. We would love to welcome you back at anytime. Kind regards, Julie

“Great House ... Great Location”

Reviewed 14 Apr 2013

It has often been said that all of the best places in Bournemouth are actually in Poole, and I think that is even more true now than it was 30 years ago, when I left the area. Part of the reason is surely the vibrancy around Poole Quay, with its multitude of real ale pubs and eating places, and 5 Angel Mews is fantastically well located, within walking distance not only of the Quay, but all parts of the town centre. The house itself is tastefully furnished and well equipped, with everything that might conceivably be needed for a holiday of any length. The kitchen especially is clean and relatively spacious, with a large fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, and plenty of cupboard space. Some people might feel that the lounge diner is a bit of a squeeze for eating, but by moving the table marginally we could comfortably seat 6 adults. The master en-suite bedroom is on the top floor and is very comfortable, with more than adequate drawer and cupboard space for a holiday. The other two bedrooms are somewhat smaller, but equally comfortable. Having three double beds is a limiting factor for families (Our family group consisted of two couples and our two adult sons), however a high quality Z bed is available, and the owner was happy for us to use this in the lounge. If we had one criticism it was that the house was cold on arrival, as the central heating had gone off by then (around 10 pm) and it took us a while to work out how to switch it back on and adjust the thermostat etc. It was a particularly cold spell and of course it would have been quite difficult for the owner to prepare for this. Perhaps some clear instructions could have been left on the kitchen table however, to avoid us having to dig out the reference book and operating manual? (In fairness it would have been asking quite a lot for the owner to have remembered we were arriving late in the evening – with hindsight perhaps we should have mentioned this again shortly beforehand, given the weather forecast). At other times the house was comfortably warm, despite the freezing temperatures outside. Whilst there is plenty to do and see, within walking distance of the house, obviously to fully explore the surrounding area a car is ideal, and we were able to park our large MPV (with roof box) under the allocated car-port, which is behind the electric gate. All in all we loved the house and consider it a perfect base for anyone holidaying in Poole. We think it offers value for money and were particularly impressed that the owner offers flexibility in length of stay – we were there for 5 nights over Easter. We look forward to staying at 5 Angel Mews again in the future.

Thank you for your remarks. Apologies for the heating going off at 10pm (previous guest had tinkered with controls). We have a second holiday property now with King size bedroom, double bedroom and bedroom with two 3ft singles - this configuration may suit you better next time. Best regards, Julie
