Description from owner

Description

Hafod Y Wennol enjoys a wonderful setting on a picturesque hill farm near Pontardawe. This character cottage combines modern facilities with features such as exposed beams in the bedrooms and a cosy lounge with log burning stove. The cottage is situated on one side of a historic courtyard and has a large lawn area with garden furniture where guests can sit and watch the animals grazing in the adjoining parkland fields. The farm has it's own nature trail which takes you from the cottage doorstep, along a picturesque stream, through a bluebell woodland and out onto the hillside where there are spectacular views of Swansea Bay, the valley and Brecon Beacons National Park.

The cottage is popular with families who love the location of the cottage which makes it easy to explore the wonderful attractions of south wales - the Gower beaches, amazing castles, many waterfalls and the Brecon Beacons mountains. Some of our guests have been over 10 times and still haven't done everything

Some of our guests have been over 10 times and still haven't done everything they want to! We are also close to Afan Forest Park which has some of the world's best mountain biking trails.

The information folder in the cottage is legendary and will help you to get around - there are suggested itineraries and directions to some great gastro pubs! There is also a major 24 hour supermarket just over a mile away in the town of Pontardawe (although you'd never imagine it when you are relaxing back at the cottage).
