Crumplehorn Cottage No1 is our cosy cottage for two, with wooden beamed ceilings, a stable door, sash windows, Cornish stone fireplace, a sun trap patio, and a pretty garden.
Built on the level Crumplehorn Cottage No1 is within easy walking distance of the colourful harbour, beach, shops, restaurants, Inns, and cafes of Polperro.
Crumplehorn Cottage No1 is one of our three white washed 'old world' cottages having been tastefully modernised and facing due south. Enjoying maximum sunshine in summer and winter, this pretty cottage dates back to the early 1700's.
Crumplehorn Cottage No1 is a romantic hideaway full of character, with a lounge, kitchen/dining room downstairs, and a quaint staircase leading to a double bedroom with second T.V, ensuite bathroom with electric shower. This traditional Cornish cottage is fully equipped with a full size flat screen plasma TV, DVD player, cooker, microwave and fridge with freezer compartment, books, games and a selection of DVDs to watch.
Antiques and curios are thoughtfully placed throughout to compliment the cottage.
NEW from the end of March - FREE Wi-Fi
On site private parking is provided for your car (A MUST in Polperro, where parking is at a premium, and very expensive if you rent a cottage without its own parking). This pretty cottage is heated during the colder months by night storage heaters for a cosy stay - There is also a £1.00 coin meter for electricity at the cottage, set at a lower than national rate - to encourage our guests to love Cornwall and embrace sustainable tourism.

The Cornwall region
As you reach the village of Polperro you realise that you are somewhere very special. A pretty Cornish fishing village located on the Cornish Riviera coast just 26 miles from Plymouth, virtually unspoiled by time. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the rugged coast and marine blue sea, a fairy tale setting for the perfect holiday.
Polperro has it all. A gentle climate, quaint friendly pubs, fine restaurants serving locally caught seafood, a variety of individual shops including art galleries, antique and gift shops, a smuggling museum, model village and some interesting historical sites.
Activities abound for the entire family - you can hire a fishing boat and try your hand at catching some fresh mackerel for your evening meal, or just pack a picnic basket and head out along the beautiful Cornish coastal paths.
Polperro has a sandy beach for children to enjoy, a large shallow rock pool to paddle in called Maids Pool by the locals, rocky coves to explore and Chapel Pool - an inviting rock pool big enough to swim in - which appears as the tide recedes each day.
Or if its total relaxation you're after, simply sit and watch time pass by as the boats gently bob up and down in the picturesque harbour.
Polperro is well placed for exploring other parts of Cornwall. The Eden Project is only 20 minutes away while Tintagel Castle (the legendary birthplace of King Arthur), Plymouth Aquarium, Bodmin Moor, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Shipwreck and Heritage Centre are also within easy reach.
Crumplehorn Cottage No1 is ideally situated for exploring the rest of Cornwall and south Devon -
With Eden, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Morwellham Quay, The National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth, Fowey, Padstow and the north coast surfing beaches all within an easy drive.
We also have many National Trust Stately Homes in the area, all beautifully preserved and retained - a real pleasure to explore.
