Josefa is a lovely stone built Mallorcan finca with fabulous and beautifully furnished living space, shady terraces and landscaped gardens with a private infinity pool and stunning views of the mountains and the Puig de Maria.
It's situated in the peaceful countryside just outside the historic town of Pollensa (5 mins drive, 20 mins walk) and close to Port Pollensa and the beach (10 mins drive) both offering a wide range of restaurants to suit every taste and activities for all the family.
The house is a great base for a walking, hiking, or cycling holiday (Team GB trained here for the 2012 Olympic games and Bradley Wiggins has a house nearby!) There are also two golf courses in the area. If a more relaxing holiday is what you have in mind the garden and pool area are well equipped with sun loungers and hammocks and the terraces around the house have two separate dining areas, both with seating for 10, as well as comfy sofas and armchairs.
Josefa is perfect for families or for couples holidaying together. There's plenty of space for all and each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom/shower room. The kitchen is very well equipped, the reception room has ample space for lounging around and dining

The Balearic Islands region
Pollensa is the perfect Mallorcan town and is situated at the eastern end of the Tramuntana mountain range. It's narrow medieval cobblestoned streets are charming and the two pretty squares are perfect places to stop for a coffee, drink or meal and to watch the world go by. The most famous of the Pollensa landmarks must be the Calvari steps, 365 steps leading to the Calvari Church and magnificent views. there are numerous restaurants, cafes and bars and the shops sell a wide variety of locally made arts and crafts, clothes, food and wine. A visit to the Sunday market is a must .
There's so much to do in the Pollensa area. Walking, hiking and cycling are very popular. The beautiful church in The Placa Major is well worth a visit. The Calvary Chapel is also lovely and if you're happy to climb the 365 wide stone steps to reach it you can also enjoy beautiful views of the bay of Alcudia. If you're feeling particularly energetic you could walk to the top of the Puig de Maria or cycle to Cap de Formentor, there are amazing views from both.
Pollensa has lots lovely restaurants, you'll be spoiled for choice. If you'd prefer a night in there are lots of fab food stores and delis to choose from including the famous Ensenyat. If you'd rather not cook, the most delicious takeaway paella is available from Clivia restaurant, beautifully served in a traditional iron skillet. For pudding, the Il Giardino patisserie sells mouthwatering tartes and gateaux.
Puerto Pollensa is 10 minutes from the house and you'll find a pretty beach with amazing views of Formentor. There are lots of water sports. You could pack a picnic, hire a boat and find a quiet cove. (We have a boat which takes 10 people and is available for charter, our property manager is a qualified skipper and, given few days notice, would be happy to take you out for a day on the water, fishing rods are also available) There are plenty of good restaurants in Port Pollensa (including the fantastic Stay Restaurant at the marina) The pretty Pine walk is the perfect place for a stroll.
There are a couple of vineyards nearby, good places to visit at the start of your holiday to stock up!
There's a 9 hole golf course in Pollensa with a clubhouse that serves a good and inexpensive lunch on its terrace, with amazing views of the mountains, countryside and the bay of Alcudia. The famous Porche 18 hole course is 15 minutes away.
The old town of Alcudia is very pretty and worth a visit for its super restaurants.
If you want culture and high end stores, the city of Palma is 35 minutes away and a fantastic place for a day out.
