Location description from owner

The Victoria region

Point Lonsdale is at the tip of the Bellarine Peninsula, 27 km South-east of Geelong and is one of Victoria's most picturesque regions combining the best of bay, ocean and hinterland. Swim, surf, snorkel, dive, fish, play golf, relax with a good book … it's all part of the fabulous Bellarine Peninsula experience. Add friendly people and quaint villages, and you have the perfect holiday destination.

The Bellarine skirts the waters of Port Phillip Bay where every imaginable form of water-based recreation is possible. Boating, fishing, diving, snorkelling, swimming and sailing are among the most popular. Excellent facilities help you enjoy all that the bay has to offer.

Fun is the theme all along the Bellarine Peninsula. You can get yourself and your family lost at the puzzling Amaze'N Things one of Australia's largest mazes. You can go to water at Adventure Park, where you can tackle the thrilling waterslide, ride aqua bikes, paddle a canoe and race your friends in the go-karts. An indoor/outdoor mini-golf takes centre stage at Bellarine Peninsula Golf's challenging 36-hole layout.

The Bellarine is dotted with historic villages and holiday resorts. One of the best ways to get a feel for them is with a driving tour and the Peninsula's compact nature and excellent roads make it easy to get around and discover more about these fascinating villages.

The Bellarine Peninsula has a long tradition of supplying the best in food and wine. Fertile soils ensure top-quality produce, including berries, apples and vegetables, from the undulating farmlands. Among those same hills are vineyards that generate grapes for the region's award-winning wines. And the local fishing fleet provides a steady supply of the freshest seafoods.

The Peninsula's reputation as a fine-wine producer grows with every vintage. From humble beginnings, the vineyards and wineries have blossomed overlooking Port Phillip Bay. The wineries, among them Scotchmans Hill, Spray Farm and Kilgour Estate, are open for cellar-door sales.

“fabulous place for a family to stay”

Reviewed 21 Feb 2016

This gorgeous beach house had ample room for 6. It is clean and comfy and nicely fitted out so you will have little to bring along yourself. Not far from the beach and local shops. All in all, a very good place to stay at Point Lonsdale.

“Fantastic, spacious, clean, friendly, relaxing.”

Great place to stay with family. Great additions included DVDs to suit a good range of children's ages, some board games, a lovely decking area, well appointed kitchen and spacious living area. Thanks heaps.

“Restful”

Reviewed 15 Sep 2013

Even though it was Spring and a little cooler, Bonsai Beach house was a lovely place to stay and rest. The house was well designed for additional guests and the heater warmed the place to help take the evening chill off. It was great just turning up and having most things there for you- just had to supply groceries and personal gear. The street was really quiet and not far from main amenities as needed. Nothing was a problem with the booking process or issues that arose during the stay, all addressed promptly and professionally. Only wish was to be able to stay longer, will be back again one day. Thanks muchly.

“Wonderful place to stay with the family!”

Reviewed 31 Aug 2013

We enjoyed our first family getaway at Bonsai Beachhouse. It was presented beautifully & had all the little extras you could need on a trip away from home which is fantastic when travelling with a young family. It was a pleasant stroll into the cafe's of Point Lonsdale & a short drive to Queenscliff. We also used the kitchen to cook some meals which was fantastic for those times when you didn't feel like eating out. We couldn't have asked for anything better on our first family trip!

Thank you for your recent booking at Bonsai Beachhouse, we are delighted to hear how you enjoyed your time at the property. We fully appreciate that when booking a property guests are very reliant on the information provided on the internet, particularly from guests who have stayed at the property previously and we thank you for providing feedback on your experience at Bonsai Beachhouse.
