The Devon region

Just north of Plymouth lies a world of natural beauty. Dartmoor National Park is home to a plethora of flora and fauna, allowed to grow wild. The rugged natural beauty of Dartmoor has inspired many a poet and writer, not least of which was the world famous Arthur Conan Doyle, who was inspired by it to write his chilling Sherlock Holmes adventure, "The Hound of the Baskervilles".

Cornwall is also on your doorstep just a short drive across the Tamar Bridge where you enter a county renowned for its beatuiful beaches and quaint tourist towns. A trip to this part of the world isnt complete without visiting the famous Eden Project which is about 45 minutes away.

This apartment is ideally situated in the Historical and unique Barbican area of Plymouth with its cobbled streets and places of interest such as the Elizabethan House and the Mayflower Steps where the Pilgrims first set sail to America. Surrounded by beautiful scenery and within easy walking distance of the Marina and the National Marine Aquarium and the breathtaking views over the Plymouth Sound from the Hoe. They are also convenient for the theatre and we have had quite a few stars stay with us over the years including Britt Ekland, Stephanie Beecham, Brian Conley, Gary Wilmot & Micheala Strachan to name but a few.

Take your pick of the restaurants, all within close proximity, including Chinese, Greek, Thai and no visitor ought to go home before experiencing some of the finest seafood in the country, much of it caught freshly that day by one of the many fishing vessels that can be seen moored on the Barbican.

The Barbican itself is a slice of living history; where else can visitors stand at the site where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail for the Americas, or stroll along still-cobbled Elizabethan streets?

"Fantastic Location - Couldn't be more central to everything going on"

Stayed here for New Year, the flat was very comfortable especially the sofas and beds. Everything you need in the kitchen. The staff were excellent, if you needed them they were just a phone call away, there is parking behind the flat (drive very slowly down the lane behind as I bottomed my car (no damage done) - however, I was advised to do this, I just didn't realise how slowly). I didn't need to move my car all week as we were so central to everything, 5 minute walk into city centre, 1 minute walk to the Barbican, 5 minute walk to seafront, 5 minutes to the theatre, 5 minutes to all the night life. I will definately stay here again. Brilliant.

"Great location, great apartment, great weekend"

Harbour Court B was a lovely apartment that was well located right on the edge of The Barbican area of Plymouth. It was an ideal base for me and my friends. We didn't get a taxi all weekend as everything we needed was right there. Comfy beds, great facilities and plenty of space. And considering we booked in the summer holidays I thought the price was pretty reasonable too.
