Luxury self catering cottage located on the cardigan bay coastline, just minutes from the blue flag beaches of Llangrannog and Newquay, with Cwmtydu (seal cove) being just 2 miles away. The two bedroomed cottage is located on a smallholding with three friendly donkeys and beautiful views across open countryside. The cottage consists of 1 double bedroom and 1 twin room and will sleep 4 adults (or 2 adults and 2 children) and a travel cot is provided for a third child up to the age of 2 (Please supply your own cot bedding). There is a spacious lounge with large woodburner, fully equipped kitchen and shower room. There is an enclosed garden with patio and garden furniture with an additional larger paddock to the rear of the cottage for children to find their freedom! The donkeys can come up to the rear of the cottage in the summer and will look for fuss and carrots of course! Ideally located to discover the truly stunning range of beaches and picturesque towns and villages along the cardigan

The pretty harbour town of New Quay is just 5 miles away being famous for being the home of Dylan Thomas and where you can take boat trips to view the abundant wildlife including bottlenose dolphins and seals. The beautiful harbour town of Aberaeron just 9 miles away with its attractive colourful houses and famous honey ice cream. The county and university town of Aberystwyth is just 25 miles away to the north with a wide range of shops, attractions such as the vale of Rheidol railway, castle, the national library and the cliff railway. Linen and towels are supplied. Electricity, oil central heating and the initial starter pack of wood is included in the price. Further baskets of wood are available at additional charge. Welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, welsh cakes and flowers will be included for all guests. FREE WIFI. Highchair available. Sorry no pets and no smoking.

The Wales region

The Cardigan Bay coastline is a very special area with stunning sandy beaches, cliff top walks, and abundant wildlife on your doorstep including bottlenose and common dolphins, seals, red kites, rabbits, a wide variety of sea birds including choughs, plus many more. Open countryside, mountains, hidden coves, small villages and harbour towns await you to explore. There is so much to do in the local area you will not be bored! Activities such as a wide variety of watersports, walking including the all wales coastal path, fishing, golf, cycling, castles, steam trains, museums, red kite feeding station, the elan valley dams, dry slope skiing, go-karting, horse riding plus much much more.

Further afield, you can explore the pembrokeshire coastline with its many beaches, harbours and coves. The smallest cathedral in the uk is in St Davids and the ever popular theme park attractions of Folly Farm and Oakwood are within an hour of the cottage. The ports of fishguard and pembroke are within an hour of the cottage and day trips to ireland are possible.

Holidays along the Ceredigion coastline will provide you with so much to see and do you will want to return again and again to explore it from north to south, east to west. The outstanding natural beauty of the area needs to be seen to be believed. There are regular festivals and events on in the area as well as local farmers markets where you can taste and buy local fresh produce at great prices.
The area is also renowned for its seafood including the famous new quay mackerel which is landed daily in season. There are plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafes in the area, all serving an excellent range of fresh, local meals.
