Fishing is everywhere in Brittany, so whether you want to fish locally by the campsite in the lake or the river or whether you want to go five minutes up the road to the incredible Lac au Duc, if you're lucky, you could catch a 25kg carp!
Shopping at the various market towns are within easy access. The local main town is Ploermel which apart from its street markets is also home to five supermarkets so you most definitely won't be going hungry! There is also a swimming pool, bowling alley, cafe's and bars to help you relax. A little further down the road there is the famous historic town of Josselin with its magnificent chateau and cobbled streets, it really is worth a visit.
Beaches can be accessed within an hour of the site. If you head to the southern coast of Britany, you can find a peaceful beach within 40 minutes. The coastline tends to be pretty unspoilt so unless you wish to head for a tourist beach, check out the internet or buy a map and head out with a picnic. Chances are you will find yourself a very quiet bay with crystal clear water and what is boasted as a mini Mediterranean climate! If you would prefer, you could head to the north coast an hour or so to St Malo or even Mont St Michael, the incredible town built on a hill which is cut off by the sea at high tide. Whatever you decide, you will not be disappointed.
So many things to see and do!
Gliding & hang gliding is also available just 2kms away from the site if you
fancy seeking a thrill.
Watersports such as canoeing, windsurfing and pedaloes are all available on Lac au Duc which is just five minutes from the site.

Merlin's tomb is alleged to be in the forest of Broceliante, a beautiful area for walking. For historic walks and information, just take your pick. The atrocities of WWII are still very raw in rural France so there are many tales, museums and sights to take in.
Golf is also a local pastime with a beautiful Roi Arthur Hotel 9 hole golf course just five minutes from the site which borders the Lac au Duc.
Horseriding is availbale within easy reach of the site for all capabilities.
Cycling is extremely popular here with easy access to the
Voie Verte 53kms of cycle track along an old railway line taking you through
scenic countryside from Mauron to Malestroit.
