Description from owner

Description

“The Sidings” is situated in a row of 40-year-old cottages, adjacent to Plockton station. It is a very comfortable, cosy home. It is particularly handy for spectacular walks to the beaches close by. Locals and visitors have been known to swim their even in September. The house is a 5-10 minute walk from the centre of Plockton with gorgeous views of the Crags towering over the village. There are very good eating places that serve local seafood and other local produce. The house consists of a spacious dining kitchen, a warm living room with reclaimed Victorian fireplace. Outside there is a small back garden with a leafy green outlook and a larger front garden with a picnic bench that in the past the owners, Thomas and Julie, have enjoyed early evening drinks and family barbecues. It has a parking area opposite the house and extra space is available.

Location description from owner

The Ross and Cromarty region

The Highlands are well known for it's fantastic scenery of mountain ranges, lochs and castles. There are plenty of walks so you can appreciate all that is around you. It is a very peaceful place so you can relax and leave the busy life behind. Boat trips for sight seaing and fishing can also be good fun.

Plockton

Plockton is a beautiful village with all the amenities that you will require. The local bars and restaurants serve very good local produce, they also serve the local Ale that is brewed in Plockton. Traditional music is played in the bars through the week by local musicians.

The local beaches are only a Ten minute walk from the Sidings, the vews you will see from here are looking to the Isle of Skye.

There are boat trips out of plockton that will take you to see birds, seals and also dolphins and lots more wildlife.
From the Sidings, the Isle of Skye is only a ten minute drive, there are lots of things to see and do on the Island.

Applecross is also a stunning place to visit. The drive over the Bealach is the highest road in Britain, The views from the top on a clear day are fantastic. When you come down the other side you will find the Applecross Inn. The food here is very good.
