Description from owner

Description

Conveniently located a stone's throw from Plettenberg Bay this unassuming gem formed part of the original cluster of shelters built in the 1940's on Robberg Beach. Ownership of what is lovingly known today as the “Houthuisie” (Wood Cabin) was subsequently handed down from generation to generation. With only local fynbos between the house and the beach - this direct access property is a idyllic.

The interior is an eclectic mix of subtle textures which were clearly well thought through - lending a sophisticated elegance to the honest structure of the Houthuisie without being pretentious. A French wood burner adds some extra atmosphere, to the already cozy space, during winter months. The entire house runs on solar power and gas rendering it almost completely carbon neutral.

“Lie in bed and listen to the waves crashing onto Robberg Beach, prepare your morning coffee in the charming wooden kitchen that defines shabby chic with all its charismatic charm, and finally relax on one
