Enjoy the space of two floors of tastefully appointed rooms - from the deck where you can soak up some sunshine to the four bedrooms complete with air-conditioners, two gourmet kitchens, laundry room, ample entertainment & dining rooms, BBQ area alongside the swimming pool. And the 3rd sun deck, to enjoy sun downers late afternoon and the endless views.

Villa Rosso is right by the Keurbooms lagoon and oposite the mouth into the ocean at Lookout Beach. The Keurbooms lagoon is a popular spot for families and water sport fanatics. For the regular visitors to Plett, you will be happy to know that nature has made his round robin and the mouth of the lagoon has changed. Lookout Beach has got his beach back and during low tide it is currently possible to walk through the lagoon to the Deck Restaurant at Lookout.

Complete your Garden Route Beach holiday with a 3 night Safari in the Eastern Cape. Villa Rosso will honour a weekly rate off peak with 3 nights in Villa Rosso, 3 nights Safari and return for the 4 nights in Plett as a weekly rate. This way you can leave your excess luggage at the Villa, travel to your Safari destination and return to Plett. Combination itineraries and reservations are part of our service.

Villa Rosso is a "no-smoking" property and we would appreciate our guests to respect that.

Linen and towels is changed once a week, and towels will be washed on demand.

The swimmingpool area can be very dangerous for young children and should be supervised at all times. Please give us the ages of your children, we can put a secure pool cover over the pool to safeguard your children.

The garden and pool is maintained by our maintenance team

The Villa has a live-in cleaning lady whom will be looking after you from Monday to Friday.

Ground floor level: 1 Master en-suite bedroom with access directly to swimming pool, 2 twin rooms with direct access to swimming pool, 1 bath / shower room, 1 laundry room, large lounge with 2 separate seating areas and log fire complete with kitchen. Under cover BBQ area and dining seats for up to 14 people. Secure parking.

First floor: Large Master en-suite bedroom with under floor heating opening up to the large outside deck with unlimited views of sun rise and sun set. The master bathroom is as big as the bedroom with ample wardrobes, separate wc, large shower and large bath tub, his & hers basins.

The upstairs lounge is open plan with fantastic views from the kitchen, dining and lounge area. The first floor kitchen has two large fridge freezers, and all the mod cons you would expect in a modern kitchen.

On the under cover patio area of the first floor, you can sit all day for the views are amazing, should you wish to enjoy the sun, the patio is only part covered and have two sun loungers in front of the master bedroom.

The third level, have a dining table and chairs, here you can enjoy breakfast or dinner, a favourite spot for afternoon drinks.

The property is very secure, with a perimiter alarm system. Being on the waterfront, fishing is very popular and only a few yards from the front door. 50 Yards up the road is a large park with a swing & slide, climbing frame for children to play. Here you will find families playing cricket or football as well. Canoe hire & Stand up paddle boards are for rent from our doorstep. Please request information.

Getting around

As a holiday maker, I do recommend you have a car. For the more energetic, you can walk to town (up hill) that will take you +/- 20min, and to the super market is a 15min walk. We have access to local tour guide companies that will happily assist with half and full day guided/private tours to local tourist attractions in and around Plett, Knysna, George, Oudtshoorn and Tsitsikama. Plettenberg Bay do have reliable taxi/ transfer companies too. We will gladly provide you with the relevant information upon request.

Interaction with guest

Our lovely Eunice, a Zimbabwean citizen, do live on the property. Eunice will be on duty during your stay to look after the villa, maintain the villa and assist with your day to day house keeping. Her normal working hours is Monday to Friday 9-3pm & Saturdays during check in/out. Do feel free to ask Eunice for her babysitting service (cost directly payable to Eunice). Mrs. Jackie McEwan is the general supervisor. Should you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to ask Mrs McEwan whom live right next door.

“Heaven On Earth”

We stayed at Villa Rosso in March for the third time and each time we stay there we think it can't get any better but it really does. You will need to look really far and wide to find a more wonderful place to stay. The Villa is so well laid out with plenty of space, very well equipped and luxuriously comfortable. It has a wonderful terrace overlooking the lagoon and Indian Ocean and you just need to take a few steps and you are on the lovely sandy beach. The pool in the courtyard is Whilst being small is also lovely especially when you just want to cool off and it also has a brilliant BBQ area.The housekeeper cannot do enough to ensure your stay is made perfect. This is a truly relaxing place to stay Plett has so many wonderful restaurants to choose from you are spoilt for choice and the local people are so friendly. It's an excellent place to tour other beautiful places in South Africa, there really is so much to see and do. We can't wait to return next year to Villa Rosso for a completely relaxing holiday.
