A wander through any of these, stopping for a coffee or a glass of wine, lunch or dinner will enhance any day. Alternatively, the caves and surrounding prehistoric sites could easily form the basis of a week's exploration within the area.

Plazac

The house sits on a hill above the small village of Plazac. The surrounding area is rural, with localised agriculture, but mainly planted as forest and worked accordingly.
The two largest rivers, the Doprdogne and the Vezere dominate the area and are central to most visits within the department.
The immediate area around the house lends itself to walking and cycling, with a great number of quiet lanes, roads and footpaths to explore. The rivers cater for canoeing, safe and exhilerating wild swimming and fishing (in season).
