Getting around

You don't need any transport, as the pools, local sandy beach, cars, restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacy etc are all within walking distance. Local buses run frequently and to time, and are cheap. These can take you as far as Las Palmas or just to Puerto Rico or Amadores and Mogan. They also run to local attractions such as water parks and zoos. Local taxis are cheap and cost effective if there are 4 of you.

Interaction with guest

During the booking process I will respond very quickly, normally within 1 hour which means if you want to confirm cheap flights I won't keep you waiting. After confirmation, I will offer advice on car hire companies, and I also send loads of ideas on how to spend your holidays. I have owned our home for over 8 years and so know loads of ideas to suit all holidaymakers. I'm happy to make special arrangements wher I can and have arranged flowers on arrival for a honeymoon couple and even bought a second hand guitar to save a guest from bringing their own. On arrival at the reception area you will be met by our cleaners and escorted to the villa. You will be told how everything works before being handed the keys so you can enjoy your vacatio

Very Good

“Very relaxing, lovely place”

Reviewed 13 Nov 2017

We have just returned from a wonderful relaxing week in Monseñor Z4, the villa itself was clean and well equipped, the outside space lovely and the complex itself quiet and relaxing, the views are spectacular and plenty of decent restaurants within walking distance. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely consider a return visit.

Owner's reply: Thank you for taking the time to post your review. Ruth and I are delighted that you enjoyed your holiday in our home and would welcome you back if you decided to return.

“Fabulous Holiday”

Reviewed 25 Apr 2016

This is the third time of us staying at the villa and once again we were not disappointed. The villa is in a very good location and the views from the patio are stunning. The pool is nice to dip into to cool off and we had long evenings drinking and eating on the patio area. The facilities within the villa are excellent and it is furnished to a high standard. We thoroughly enjoyed eating out and two restaurants were really good value and excellent food Guantanamo Restaurant which is a very short taxi ride from the villa and Palm Beach which is on the beach in Amadores I also was able to do some running from the apartment to Amadores which I found to be very safe and enjoyable Would have no hesitation in going back again! Thank you for a lovely holiday Ruth and Jim

Owner's reply: We would love to have you back for a fourth stay. Just let us know when you would like to come. Best wishes Ruth and Jim

“Perfect villa for family holiday”

First of all the owners Jim and Ruth have been very helpfull and informative in regards to generel and specific questions or needs. They always responded very quikly and provided us with all the information about the location of the villa, the area of playa del cura etc. We travelled with three children. The youngest is disabled and Therefore we had various questions but Jim and Ruth were able to answer and inform, so we did NOT have anything to worry about. The area of playa del cura is quiet with a few restaurants. If you want to go shopping you must go to Puerto rico which is the nearest place to go shopping. The villa is amazingly situated with a breathtaking view and a very Nice and clean pool. We have enjoyed our stay and we would very much recommend this villa.

Owner's reply: We were more than happy to answer your questions so that you could look forward to your holiday without any worries. We're really pleased you all enjoyed it and hope you will come back and stay with us again sometime. Ruth and Jim

“Would definitely return!”

Great experience from the initial booking, information being provided before the trip and contact with local caretakers whilst there. The apartment was in a great location near to some lovely beaches and the pretty marina of Puerto Mogan. A car is needed though as the roads between each resort are major routes with no paths. The apartment was very clean and spacious and included all that was needed for a week's stay. The local Spar supermarket was reasonably priced in comparison to others in the area and the bars/cafes at the commercial centre, whilst lacking a little in ambiance, served good food and drink at reasonable prices. The pools on the complex were very clean, although the top pool area was undergoing some renovation work. Not a problem as the pool within the apartment was great to lounge around. One point to note though is that, given the location (built into a hillside) there are a number of steps. The area around the pool is also not fenced off so could be an issue for parents worried about small children (and their lack of care/balance!) All of the floors are also tiled so non-slip shoes for round the pool/in the apartment was essential. None of this detracted from our enjoyment however (and the location meant the views from the apartment were breathtaking) and I would definitely consider returning to the area and the apartment in particular.

Owner's reply: So glad that you all had a great experience and we'd love to have you back. We never tire of the view from the villa and you obviously loved it too. We have had quite a few guests stay at the villa without a car and they found it easy to get around. Buses run every 20 mins and taxis only cost a few euros. The local beach, supermarket, shops, bars and restaurants are only a 10 minute walk away.

“A villa with a view to die for!”

We stayed for 1 week at the beginning of February and had a truly wonderful and relaxing time. My husband and I had the downstairs room which we shared with our baby girl (luckily the bed was huge and big enough for all 3 of us). My mum and dad had the room upstairs which had it's own bathroom, which was great as we weren't on top of each other. The villa has a stunning view - it really is as good as the photos (better actually). You feel like you're on the deck of a ship looking out to sea! It was pure heaven having coffee and croissants (from the bakery downstairs) on our terrace admiring the view. Pool was lovely and the weather was hot enough on a couple of days for a swim. Pretty good for February! The villa is very well equipped and SO clean. Probably the cleanest villa I've ever stayed in! The kitchen has everything so ideal if you fancy cooking. The owners were so kind before our stay and ensured there would be a cot and high chair for our baby girl. They also emailed us with many tips for our stay. Great service! There are some lovely little restaurants just down the road - many with live music. And the pizzeria on site is truly excellent and amazingly convenient. It all just felt so very easy. Perfect for a relaxing holiday. Would wholeheartedly recommend to others and visit again!

Owner's reply: Wow Flora! I don't think we could have a better review than this. Ruth and I do try to help our guests have a great holiday, and it is really pleasing for us to see what a super holiday you had. We look forward to your return.

“Fantastic stay”

Reviewed 29 Dec 2013

We spent a week in this fabulous villa the views from the patio area are fantastic We spent a lot of our time sat by the pool which was very clean and warm enough for us to take a dip. The villa is very well equipped and the owners have gone to a lot of trouble to ensure you have everything you need. I particularly liked the bedroom with a balcony looking out to sea it was very comfortable and relaxing. We ate in on a number of occasions and visited local restaurants in Puerto Mogan and Amadores both have fantastic bars and the beaches are also good. I was also able to run around 10 miles from the villa to Amadores and back All in all a very good holiday and a very enjoyable villa definitely recommend it

“Fabulous family holiday”

Reviewed 20 Dec 2013

We stayed at this lovely villa with our 2 daughters aged 4 and 8 and had a wonderful holiday. The children loved having their own swimming pool and we're playing in it within a few minutes of arriving at the villa. They also had fun going down the waterside at the main pool on the complex and made some new Spanish and English friends. The villa was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Jim and Ruth gave us lots of information about the area both before we travelled and at the villa and we used this to plan days out at Puerto Mogan and Palmitos Park. The children loved the dolphin show and had photos taken with them. There were lots of good restaurants nearby. We ate at the one on the complex one evening which is right next to another swimming pool and the children loved being able to swim in it whilst we waited for our meal. The food was delicious and very cheap and I would recommend trying it. We also liked eating at Amadores beach which has lots of good restaurants right by the beach. Palm Beach at the end had a lovely atmosphere and the Chinese buffet restaurant let the children try different foods that they wouldn't normally eat. On Jim's recommendation, we had gin and tonics at Amadores Beach Club and I agree with him that they are the best. We've already recommended the villa to our friends and family and hope to come back again ourselves for another holiday.

“Fantastic villa with wonderful views.”

We stayed at the villa from the 17th to 27th June 2013 and had an excellent holiday. We were a family of four - two adults and young children aged 3 and 7. The villa is located on a complex which is built into the side of a mountain. The complex consists mainly of apartments and just a few villas. An advantage of this arrangement was that we had the benefit of having our own pool, good sized accommodation and privacy yet we could use the complex facilities as well .My children loved the "top pool" which offered a very long yet gentle water slide and a small play area. A little cafe/bar next to this pool provided drinks and snacks. We hired a car throughout our vacation which whilst not completely necessary proved to be worthwhile, purely for exploring the island and enjoying a few evenings outside of Playa del Cura. The villa is very well equipped with everything a family or group of adults would need. After parking near the reception area at street level, the villa is reached by taking two lifts and then walking along a pathway. All of this is "pushchair friendly". Upon entering the villa, there is a double bedroom, bathroom and terrace with really spectacular views, a staircase then leads down to two further bedrooms, both with good wardrobe space, a living area, kitchen and utility area. the main terrace can be entered from the living area or dressing area of the downstairs bedroom. My husband and I felt that this villa had the best location of all the villas on the complex, not just because of the views but because it had a large flat rock garden beyond the terrace. Not only did this provide safety with children but it had a beautiful display of Canarian plants and ornaments. My children were fascinated by watching the lizards which occupied this rock garden. Please note, they are very shy and no trouble at all! Playa del Cura itself is a small quiet resort with a couple of restaurants and a large Spar supermarket which we felt was reasonably priced and well stocked with all your needs. However, do take sun protection with you as this tends to be very expensive to buy there. The beach at Playa del Cura is perfect for everyone. We took an impulsive two hour drive up into the centre of the island and saw beautiful white washed villages, pine forests and fabulous views across mountains and lakes. It was a little nerve racking on the small winding roads but well worth it. A couple called Pam and Jeff generally look after the villa with respect to a weekly pool cleaning and linen/towel changing service, They are very helpful and in fact live on the complex which is an advantage. It is well worth visiting Puerto de Mogan which is only a ten minute drive away. Amadores, which can be seen from the villa offers a lovely beach and reasonably priced restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay at the villa and found its location beneficial.

“Fantastic holiday in a fantastic villa”

Reviewed 19 May 2013

We have just returned from our second stay in this fabulous villa and have had another great holiday. Everything we could have wanted was provided within the villa, the owners have really gone the extra mile. Travelling with 2 children we found the dishwasher and washing machine very useful as well as the highchair and travel cot. We used the villa swimming pool daily but also tried the other swimming pools on site, one of which has a great water slide. The villa is well placed for exploring the island, should you wish to do so. We had a great day out at Plamitos Park and the highlight of this was most definitely the dolphin show. I would highly recommend this villa, we are already looking to book again.

“Fantastic villa, fantastic views, fantastic holiday!”

We are a family of 4 and have just returned from a fantastic holiday in this Villa. As a family this villa really suited our needs there was plenty of living and bedroom space and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed such as microwave, dishwasher, large fridge and even a washing machine. My eldest daughter loved using the villa swimming pool and watching the DVD’s provided when she needed a break from the sun. There was a travel cot and high chair provided which was useful for my youngest daughter. Everything was clean and in good condition. There is a restaurant on site which we used for take away pizza one night and they were very tasty and reasonably priced. There are also a number of larger pools on site, one of which has a water slide which kept my daughter entertained for ages. There is also a small bar, shop and play area on site. A short walk away is a sandy beach which is ideal for families and also more restaurants and a larger supermarket where you can buy pretty much anything you would need. Whilst there we took a taxi to Amadores beach which offers crazy golf, restaurants, shops and play area. We also the bus to Mogan which has a small harbour, beach, restaurants. There are plenty of things to do. Last but by no means least is the fantastic view offered at this villa. It really is stunning and we spent many a relaxing evening outside with a glass of sangria admiring it!! To summarise we have had one of the best holidays here as a family and would certainly return in the future. Thank you.
