Garden City is a quiet well run holiday rental complex ideal for families and couples. Only 5 minutes walk to a choice of two lovely sandy beaches. With shops, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and all just outside the complex. Garden City has everything you could want right at your door.

I have someone who looks after the apartments for me and is easily contactable in case of any problems during your stay. There is a safety deposit available for hire at a small extra charge. Linen is provided and changed at the end of each week for bookings of two weeks or more. Problems rarely occur, but if they do these must be reported while on holiday - when every effort will be made to resolve. Please note that any accidents or maintenance problems must be reported at the time to either Janet or the contact in the resort. No liability whatsoever will be accepted unless reported in resort. Any complaints received after the holiday is over will not be entertained. Full Terms and Conditions can be provided on request.

The spacious one bedroomed apartment offers twin beds and built in wardrobes. The separate living room has a sofa bed for the third/fourth person. There is Satellite Television which receives a range of British programmes including BBC and ITV for those who want to catch up with programmes and sport. Through your French windows you have direct access to your own private balcony with patio table, chairs and pull out washing The fully fitted kitchenette comes completely fitted with oven, hob, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle, iron and ironing board. Fully tiled bathroom has a WC, bidet, wash hand basin and shower over the bath. Furnishings and layout may vary slightly.

Garden City boasts two swimming pools (1 heated) plus a childrens pool (heated) and Kids Club. Pool bar offers meals, snacks and drinks, pool table plus entertainment. There are sunbeds around by the pool and unlike some complexes these are free of charge. With your apartment you have your own private sunny balcony with patio table and chairs and pull out clothes line. There is a self service launderette on site so no need to take lots of luggage. A taxi is easily obtainable from the airport and costs around 25 Euro and takes about 20 minutes.

“Never again !”
I can honestly say i have never in my life had to pay for towels to rent or take any with me. We were advised towels were 1 euro each to hire, why aren't the towels provided in with the price of accommodation ? Upon arrival at apartment 118 we found it very basic but fairly clean. There were no towels left for us so we had to call Janet who stated they weren't aware we needed towels ? ( What did they expect us to drip dry every night ?) she further advised she was off on holiday to England but would send some round with her friend !!. 4 bath & 4 hand towels for 2 weeks I cant believe it happens !! Lol Apartment definitely needs a refurb. Beds are creaky and not that comfy. Wardrobe space is minimal ( 2 woman with 2 weeks worth of clothes each trying to cram everything into a cubby hole is a pain. Another small cupboard where the safe is gave us a bit more space and a very small 3 draw chest of draws. The iron needs replacing , I used it to iron a top and it was blocked full of limescale and the wiring was bare and showing through the flex. The toilet is continuously running after flushing refilling the cistern and it drives you mad !! The pool area is nice and the pool is cleaned every day, The sunbeds are chained up each night and stacked on top of each other, so in the morning the area resembles people waiting for the doors to open at Asda on xmas eve, There are beach towels left on the stands of the sun shaders and people sitting there for a hour waiting for the pool lifeguard to unlock the beds and its quite amusing to watch them all scramble for a bed in their fave spot. I can honestly say there are about 400 beds and only room for about 200 so it was getting a bit cramped by our second week.The pool bar staff are lovely and friendly especially Leigh & Hugo, The food is nice and reasonably priced. the entertainment is very good on Tues & Thurs, a quiz and Karioki we also had Black Lace from Agga do fame ( very funny ) and a Elvis tribute act as well as other acts around the area. All in all we had a fabulous holiday, will def come back just unfortunately not to apartment 118
Owner's reply: I am rather surprised to read your review. Firstly, it clearly states in all the details I send out that towels are available to hire but I need to know in advance if they are required so janet can leave them for guests. I have found the towel system works very well as guests can either bring their own or hire as many as they want including beach towels. My repeat guests like this arrangment as they can hire what they need. You did not order towels so of course these were not left for you. To then complain about it is rather unfair - epecially as you contacted Janet and she went out of her way to bring some to you. I clearly state that towels must be ordered in advance. I actually cleaned the apartment myself the day you left and I noticed that the cistern was constantly filling. Again I ask in the details I send that any water leaks be reported as water is a precious commodity on the island. You made no mention of this or the iron and this could have easily been sorted while you were there. I got the cistern repaird the same day and I also noticed that the toilet seat had a small mark on it - so this was replaced too. Usually there is enough room for clothes as their is a wardrobe plus the same sized cupboard with shelves plus a chest of drawers for smaller items. But perhaps next time you may prefer to pay a bit more and have a one bedroomed apartment which has a lot more wardrobe space. The studios are the budget apartments and only one other person has ever said not enough hanging space in the 15 years I have been renting out the apartments. I have checked the beds after your review and these have been replaced. There are two swimming pools (no where near 400 beds) and the main pool is the most popular but the pool at the rear of the complex is much quieter so guests have the choice. It is shame you didn't mention the cistern etc during your stay rather than wait until you got home to leave a rather negative review of very popular poolside studio apartments - probably the most popular position on the site.
Garden City is in a great location - close to bars and restuarants. The complex and apartment is not 5 star but a friendly bunch and well maintained. We had a good sized one bedroomed apartment which slept our family of 4 easily. The apartement was clean and had everything we needed. It had a good sized balcony where we sat out and had breakfast every day. The kitchen was well fitted but other than breakfast and the occasional sandwich we ate out all the time (not on holiday to cook). The kids loved the pool and the entertaintment at the pool bar on Tuesday and Thursdays. They also loved Siam Water Park which was an easy walk. The owner was very easy to deal with. All in all a great reasonably priced holiday - we can certainly recommend Garden City and this owner.

“Very enjoyable relaxing stay”
Just returned from staying in one of Deanna's apartments, was a bit worried by some of the reviews, but found it quite alright for the price, as others were quite a bit more expensive. The kitchen was well equipped, enabling us to prepare simple meals - even sharp knife for vegetable prep. The last place we stayed in literally had 2 cups, bowls, plates, cutlery & a frying pan - that was supposed to be self catering! Another review had issues with the hot water, by not having the water running while shampooing & lathering up, we managed to have 2 hot showers without running out. The balcony was sunny all afternoon, as there were sun beds, were able to relax there or by the pool. Plenty of places to to eat nearby or supermarket in the shopping centre. I would not hesitate to stay here again & would recommend to friends.

“Spacious apartment and lovely complex”
First time we had booked with this owner and we stayed in 224. A spacious apartment with everything we could need even a kettle and toaster. We have stayed in several apartments on this complex and this was the largest one to date. We had a lovely stay and would certainly stay in this apartment again. The complex is great with the added bonus free entertainment at the pool bar some days during the week. We return again and again to Garden City as it is so close to everything. The owner, Deanna Dewey, was easy to deal with and I will certainly be recommending to family and friends and we will be booking with this owner again.

“Fab apartment in lovely complex”
We booked a studio and one bedroomed apartment through the same owner. Booking was easy and straight forward and directions and key details easy to understand. We were delayed and didn't arrive until the early hours of the morning but keys were in the key box as per the instructions. The apartments were exactly as the photos on the adverts - not luxury but clean and tidy which is what we needed. The beds were comfy and it was lovely to sit out on the balconies to have a drink and meal. The kitchen was larger in the one bedroomed apartment and included an oven and the studio had a hob and microwave - but as sterling is so good at the moment we ate out most of the time (not on holiday to cook) there was more then enough utensils in the kitchen if you wanted to cook meals. The pools were lovely - we mainly used the main pool as it has a children's pool attached. The complex was really nice and friendly and we couldn't fault the apartment - we met Janet when the linen was changed and she was really helpful (as my husband had broken a plate and a mug and this was quickly replaced by Janet). We would certainly recommend this owner and this apartment to family and friends and hope to come back in the autumn

“excellent location apartment has ample room easy to book with owner”
there was 3 of us in the apartment plenty of room even for a family of 4/5. Location is excellent and well served by the owners agent Janet the bathroom light wasn,t working fixed immediately by Janets husband.It was very warm of a night and it would have been nice to have ceiling fans or free standing fans to make it more comfortable. If wanted to eat in facilities were adequate but local bars/restaurants not expensive and lt was good to have large supermarket 5 mins away. I no hesitation in recommending this owner and her aparment to anyone visiting the area.

The instructions she gave were clear and simple to follow, and everything was just as outlined. We as a family had a fantastic stay, the apartment was clean and spacious. Will definitely book again. Stayed at Garden City for 2 weeks and i have to say it was thoroughy enjoyable, Apartment had everything you could want down to a scissors in the drawer. Deanna gave us very clear instructions on how to find the apartment and we had no problem finding it. . The kids really enjoyed it and the Lifeguard was brilliant and very vigiliant The complex itself was very friendly with a mini mart on the corner and a big supermarket 2 mins down the road . The beach was across the road , Bus station down the hill to the left and Siam park just passed that. You could walk down the beachfront Las Americas and Los cristianos . I would most certainly vist there again great location and great complex and excellent value for money
“We will be back”
This was the first time we had booked through a private owner and it worked out much cheaper than a package holiday. The owner made the booking easy and sent out clear directions. The apartment was as advertised and although not luxury was much better than we expected. Everything was clean and we even had British TV for the nights we stayed in. The apartment had everything we could need and being a British owner even had a kettle for our cuppas. The complex was well looked after and the heated pool an added bonus as even though the days were very hot it did cool at night. We used both the pool bar and the the Winning Post pub on the complex and there were plenty of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes just outside the complex. The mini market on the compex was a bit expensive but ideal for the odd milk or bread and the huge Mercadona suoermarket was only a 2 minute walk away and offered a great choice and lots of items were cheaper than back home in the UK. There were 2 sandy beaches about a five minute walk away. Plus the Siam water park was a short walk away and is a must to visit at least once. We had one of the best holidays we have had at this complex and it offered really good value for money. I certainly recommend booking through Deanna and we will definately be back.

Plus you can get straight in a taxi to your destination - rather than wait for ages for a coach to fill up and then visit lots of other hotels and complexes before reaching your destination. All the taxis know Garden City and it is just a 20 minute drive and costs about 20 Euros and no need to pre book as plenty of registered taxis at the airport - we have never had to wait more than 5 minutes. Garden City is close to everything and has lots of facilities on the complex making it an ideal choice for a holiday in the sun.
