The Canary Islands region

Situated in the Atlantic off the coast of North Africa, Tenerife enjoys an all year round temperate climate and stunning geographical features. In the north of the island you will find lush green slopes with alpine forest at a high level moving down through changing landscapes to tropical banana plantations. In the centre there is the islands crowning glory Pico del Tiede a volcanic crater standing at 3,718m above sea level.
In the south of the island you will find a normally drier climate and the islands main tourist resorts of Playa de las Americas and Los Christianos.

Playa de las Americas

Situated in the south of the island of Tenerife, Playa de las Americas offers something for everyone .
You can choose anything between relaxing on the beach and chilled out evenings to action packed holidays with a host of activties to choose from.
For those who like golf you play locally in Las Americas or within a 15 minute drive you can try the courses at Adeje golf, Amarilla golf or Golf del Sur.
Those of you who like water sports you can Ski, windsurf, jet ski, scuba dive and much more, if you think of it they probably do it .
If shoppings your bag make it a big one, there are more shops than I could count from cheap and cheerful shops to classy designer outlets.
DAYS OUT
Aquapark is a good value day out, watch out for the free bus
Coach tours- Tiede Island tour and many others.
Remember you get what you pay for,if its cheap it will probably include a time share presentation or something similar.
Express bus service to Santa Cruz
Boat trips include Whales and Dolphins and trips to Gomera and many more.

“Tired Flat Good Location”

Reviewed 21 Oct 2016

I'm just back after spending a week in this property with my husband and teenage daughter. On arrival in the apartment we were hit with the heat from the rooom no air con only a small rusty old fan downstairs and Upstairs has an inadequate ceiling fan. The property is tired and needs modernisation. The beds are old and very uncomfortable they creaked every time you moved and one had a huge dip in the middle, the pull out bed downstairs was terrible practically lying on springs. The decor is so old it hasn't been updated in over 20 years lots of lights not working throughout the property, crockery and cutlery was a mishmash . The balcony has a mouldy old fridge with again a mismatched table and chairs. Such a shame for a property that could be fabulous if only the owners would give it some love. Would stay in these apartments again only if they had air con which is a must for the canaries. Really disappointed in this flat I stayed in the same complex in July and the flat was so much better.

Our apt does not have air con,nor do claim to have it. New beds are on order. With regard to the other comments, they are totally over the top as we have only had the apt 10 years. It has been redecorated annually and most of the furniture including the patio furniture is less than 10 years old.We have 2 bedsettees only 4 or 5 years old.We leave spare bulbs in a drawer and we use a management company, who have an office in the complex, to help resolve issues. Therefore the comments on the lights are totally unfair. Unfortunately the nice comments we receive are not put into reviews and we have many repeat bookings so some guests are happy With the apt.

“Perfect in every sense”

Reviewed 25 Apr 2013

We travel to Playa de Las Americas a couple of times a year and have stayed in many different apartments/hotels. This apartment was exactly where we wanted to be, a central location. It was home from home, everything we could need was there. We ate out all the time but if we had wanted to cook in the apartment there was everything required. It was spacious, very clean and lovely views from the balcony. There was "NO" unpleasant odours from the restaurant, which is under this part of the complex. It was quiet and everyone we met very friendly. Highly recommend as fantastic value and very helpful owners

We appreciate the time taken to write the review. We receive many nice comments from our guests but not many write a review.

“Home from home”

Reviewed 29 Feb 2012

I booked this apartment for myself,my sister and a friend. We all loved it,it was very homely and comfortable with everything we could need for a pleasant stay. The apartment is spotlessly clean, well equipped, very quiet and has got fantastic views of the sea and the mountains. We would not hesitate to use this apartment again and i have recommended it to my extended family and friends and they too enjoyed there stays here.

Much appreciated.

“Nice views, average accommodation, let down by restaurant smells.”

Reviewed 29 Jan 2012

Nice views from balcony over both pool and sea with lovely sunsets. Accommodation is spacious for 2 people but could be difficult for more due to bedroom and bathroom on mezzaine floor. Our biggest problem was the smell from the adjacent restaurant, their chimney vents right outside the front door of the property. Every morning and evening there was a smell of old cooking oil that spread over onto the balcony, this was most unpleasant.
