The kitchen and utility room are fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, Tassimo drinks maker and high quality cookware and utensils. Fresh, unlimited, Doulton filtered water is on tap, saving those trips to buy bottled water. We have had many guests comment on how well equipped the villa is and that they couldn't think of anything we had missed!

There is a comfortable and well-furnished sitting room and dining room with TV, terrestrial and internet systems offering most UK Freeview channels (including ITV and BBC), sport, news and film channels, DVD and CD players. An excellent selection of films and music is provided. Wi-Fi provided at no extra charge with unlimited downloading.  For security, there are two safes and an easy-to-use villa alarm system (optional use). There are also shutters to all windows with integral mosquito screens.

The villa has a very large private pool (totally refurbished 2015) with easy stepped entry and a natural salt chlorination treatment system that keeps the water safe and crystal clear without the use of use of harsh chemicals. The 'ocean fresh' water is kinder to your skin and swimming costumes. It is solar heated/acclimatised in summer and electrically heated in winter. The pool is cleaned and checked twice a week by our pool technician.

The spacious and south-facing main terrace is set in mature gardens and is provided with quality dining furniture, a large fixed parasol, a further mobile parasol and six sun loungers. The gardens, terraces and pool have comprehensive mood lighting to provide the ideal setting for relaxed evening dining or just drinks by the pool. There are stunning views over the resort and the island of Fuerteventura. There is a wonderful sense of space but at the same time it is welcoming and feels very private.

Set in a quiet cul-de-sac position, the villa has ample parking outside. A car is not essential but recommended to fully appreciate this beautiful island. There is a taxi rank within a five minute walk and a local public bus service that runs around the whole resort with the nearest stop just a few minutes walk away. The nearest beach (Playa Flamingo) is a 20-25 minute walk and Playa Blanca centre is a further 10 minutes along the promenade.

Perfect for those looking for a truly relaxing and luxurious holiday in a fantastic environment. We are delighted to offer the villa to new guests and the many who return time and again (7 times is our current record!). We are proud to hold a Tripadvisor 5 star Certificate of Excellence.

We have our own website (just google villasuenos, Playa Blanca) for more information.

We always prefer to talk and or email directly with potential guests and help them with queries, tell them a little bit about the resort, great places to eat and drink etc. For this reason, we do not support the rather impersonal Holiday Letting's preference for on-line bookings only where you can't have contact with guests until they have handed over money and paid their 'guest booking fee'! We are also happy to discuss any secure payment method you prefer.

Further details indoors

Wireless Broadband Internet is provided at no extra cost offering around 5 meg download speeds (Please note that due to local infrastructure issues this cannot be 100% guaranteed at all times).

Further details outdoors

The spacious main terrace is set in mature gardens with a fabulous selection of plants, both simple and exotic. At night the gardens are lit by mood lighting creating a very special setting for evening dining or simply sitting and watching the stars or the ferries travel back and for to Fuerteventura.

The rear terrace is provided with quality hardwood dining furniture, a large (3m) parasol, a further moveable parasol, six sun loungers and a small metal occasional table and matching chairs, ideal for breakfast or a cup of coffee. The covered front terrace has a large, relaxing sofa and side table.

The large private pool is a strong feature of the villa. Nearly all of our guests comment on how fantastic it is and how lovely and warm they have found it. Depending on weather conditions, we aim to achieve 27/28 degrees all year round through the combination of solar panels and electric heating.

There is a roll-out high efficiency pool cover for guests to use to maintain the temperature overnight when most of the temperature loss can occur. There is a raised apron around the whole pool that helps deter little children from accidentally falling in and there is a life-ring provided.

The pool is cleaned and checked twice a week by our agent in the resort. It uses natural salt to purify the water, releasing chlorine that does it job and then converts back into salt so there are no chlorine odours or harsh chemicals to affect your skin, hair, eyes and swimming costumes. Our guests love it and notice the difference compared with other pools. So.... apart from putting the cover on, there is nothing else you have to do except enjoy it!

The terrace comes with a quality Webber kettle BBQ and a full selection of tools.

There are wooden shutters to all windows with mosquito net covers (plus an optional full ceiling mounted net for the master bedroom).

Set in a quiet cul-de-sac position, the villa has ample parking immediately outside the villa.

Location description from owner

The Canary Islands region

The most northerly and easterly of the Canary Islands, Lanzarote is 60 km long and 21 km wide over an area of 797 square km. The least mountainous of the islands, it has an average year-round temperature of 20 degrees. There is nearly always a breeze so you rarely feel uncomfortable even when it's very hot and it's generally pleasantly cool at night.

The fate of this extraordinary island was decided over two and a half centuries ago, when the largest volcanic eruption in recorded history took place, leaving a strange and alluring countryside in its wake - a landscape littered with volcanoes and dark streams of jagged lava. The island remains unspoilt by the concrete tourist developments affecting neighbouring Tenerife, due largely to the influence of the artist-designer, the late Cesar Manrique who worked to preserve the island's environmental heritage and whose influence abounds. In 1994, the island was declared a 'World Reserve of the Bioshere' by UNESCO. There are numerous protected areas throughout the island and it is regarded as one of the healthiest places on earth to live.

It's hard not to get away from it all on Lanzarote. The fledgling tourist industry is confined to a small number of resorts, with huge areas of unspoilt countryside, beaches and volcanic 'malpais' all within a short distance.

The beaches are simply fabulous. There is something for everyone, whether you like secluded coves, wide stretches of golden sands, rocky coastlines with tidal pools or crashing will find it all on Lanzarote. A surprise to many first time visitors is how golden the vast majority of beaches are...hardly any black sand to be found!

Playa Blanca

The villa is centrally located in a quiet and prestigious residential area of Playa Blanca. This is not an estate of concrete blocks or identical villas in rows. There are numerous different property types, from quite grand houses to small villas well spaced out over a mature site.

Playa Blanca is fast becoming one of the island's finest tourist areas. Originally a small fishing village it has been transformed into a first class holiday resort.

Most recent has been the development of Marina Rubicon, the largest private marina on the island. Effectively it's a small village of interconnecting cobbled streets lined with high class shops, cafes, and restaurants. It also now includes a great ten-pin bowling alley, mini-golf, pitch and putt golf course, shopping centre and more activities opening every few months.

Playa Blanca can boast the warmest weather on Lanzarote as it is almost always basked in warm sunshine, it can also lay claim to some of the finest beaches, where the deep turquoise sea is crystal clear and always calm. There are superb views of the mountains and the islands of Lobos and Fuerteventura across the water.

Playa Blanca's sea front promenade connects the beaches and is lined with shops, restaurants and bars. From the harbour at the far end of the promenade, you can catch a ferry to Fuerteventura. You can go as a foot passenger or with a car and the 15-minute crossing on the modern Fred Olsen FastCat is great fun as you can sit at the viewing deck at the front or on the open-air terrace and enjoy the ocean.

The resort is great for families, with low-key and not wild nightlife and entertainment. Some of the bars offer live music and there are plenty of good quality hotels with nightly entertainment and shows suitable for all the family, open free to non-residents. The choice of restaurants is a gastronomic delight, varying from local Canarian tapas to international cuisine.

A great advantage to staying in Playa Blanca is the proximity to the beaches of Papagayo. These beaches must be the most beautiful beaches on the island (and some people say in all of Spain). A visit to Papagayo is a must if you are staying in Playa Blanca, however, do take a picnic as there are no shops or facilities here, and you will need a car.

All in all, the general feel of the resort is relaxed with a family lager louts or all-night clubbers here! Nevertheless there is plenty to do, both by day and by night.

“Fantastic holiday in a wonderful place”

Reviewed 8 Dec 2015

From the initial inquiry through to the final holiday the owners of the villa could not have been more helpful and informative, giving information on the resort, the island, transfers and flights too. We were also supplied with a very informative book on the island in the villa which made planning our stay so easy. On arrival at the villa it was evident that this a very well maintained and cared for property, with everything being in pristine condition. The kitchen was so well equipped it felt like home and extras such as the filtered water tap really made a difference. I must admit that as well equipped as the kitchen was we mostly ate out because the choice of restaurants was so varied and all of the restaurants we visited did not disappoint. We just did not have enough time to sample all of the ones that took our interest! The resort of Playa Blanca is very nice. It is big enough to have plenty to do but not too big with a really lovely, long promenade and beautiful beaches. We did spend quite a lot of time at the villa because it had a beautiful pool which was very clean and immaculate, in fact the whole of the exterior was immaculate. We had an absolutely fabulous holiday in a beautiful villa, in a fabulous resort on a wonderful island and I should not forget to say that we had perfect weather as well!

It is always great to hear that all our guests have a lovely holiday in Playa Blanca, whilst staying at Villa Suenos. It is a fabulous resort, quieter than Puerto del Carmen but as you say, plenty to do. There are several beaches to choose from (all quite different) and you can walk for miles from the lighthouse at one end of the resort all the way to the beaches of Papagayo at the other end. Most guests enjoy eating out at the many excellent restaurants in the resort but others do like to self cater and eat in on many occasions. Although our kitchen is not huge, we like to think that we provide everything that is needed to prepare and serve any meal. A cool bag and flask etc are also provided for picnic days. Hope that you will come back again one day and enjoy even more of what Lanzarote has to offer. Thanks for reviewing.

“Beautiful garden, lovely pool, peaceful location.”

Reviewed 2 Jan 2015

The garden is lovely with beautiful plants and flowers. It is a great space to relax and eat outside. The pool is very pretty too and the fact that it is heated was appreciated as the weather in December was not quite warm enough to feel the need to cool off. The house is spacious and there is a great collection of DVDs and music (family disco anybody?).

Thanks for the review. The garden and pool area is such an important feature as it is where most guests spend most of their time - glad that you liked it. Fortunately the climate in Lanzarote means that there is pretty much always something in flower. Great to hear that you made good use of the CD and DVD collection. Hopefully you will visit again.

“Great location , great villa”

Reviewed 30 Jul 2013

Myself , wife and four teenagers stayed at this lovely villa for 11 nights in July and what a fantastic time we all had. There's not a great deal to add to the previous 5 star reviews which I can only say are absolutely spot on. The villa accommodates 6 in comfort and the area around the pool is perfect for lazy days and bbq's ,there's the added bonus of a nice sea view as well. The heated pool really does make a difference and we were happy to float round in it for hours on end , no getting chilly in half an hour here. We found the location perfect , in a quiet position anly a few minutes walk to the taxi's , no point driving when they are so cheap , a few minutes journey to the restaurants and bars at the sea front . I was worried the kids might find the area boring as there appears to be no clubs but they had a great time chillin in the cocktails bars which are open until the early hours and the place has a very safe feel to it . I would highly recommend the area and when we do return again will without doubt be using the same villa as it had everything we could want. The owners have thought of just about everything and the contact , directions and instuctions whilst booking, through to arrival at the villa were first class and helped ensure a stress free and perfectly relaxing holiday.

Thank you for taking time to write a review for your holiday. Many potential guests ask about the location and the ease of getting into the centre, so hopefully you comments will be reassuring. So glad the teenagers enjoyed it too - if they are happy, so are the parents. We speak from experience!

“Excellent Villa”

Reviewed 5 Jul 2013

Stayed here June 20th to July 4th. Excellent 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa with everything you need for your stay and I mean everything, even loads of DVD's & Cds when you just want to stop in after a busy day at the pool....ohh and not to forget the free wi-fi which is a great bonus Spotlessly clean and that private heated pool was fantastic. Through the Patio doors you have great views spreading across the water to the island of Fuerteventura in front of you and to the right you have the volcano Monta Roja to the right which you can climb if you are brave enough. You can walk into Playa Blanca in around 20-25 mins at a slow pace or you can get a taxi from the taxi rank which is a 3 min walk from the under 3 euro to Playa Blanca really was a bargain. Booking was easy and communication with the owners was superb, they answered any questions we had within the hour and they were very knowledgeable of the area. Car Hire's up to you, you can do without it but we like to hire a car, it's easy to drive here, roads are quiet and you can go out and explore and it's handy to get your shopping when you have a car...The owners even recommended a few hire car companies, we used plus car and for around £150 or less you can hire a car off them, fully comp for the 2 weeks. Meals...There is no need to go out as the villa is fully equipped but we had one day eating in the Villa and the next day eating out. Our favourite for meals was Le Moka at Faro Park for the breakfasts and wonderful cakes (which you can take back to the villa for later !) and for evening meals it has to be cervantes for those fantastic steaks This really is a great Villa, fantastic views and we would certainly recommend it to anyone and all the way through the process of enquiring, booking, directions and staying at the villa was really easy thanks to Jackie & Mark, they made sure everything went like clockwork even letting us stay late on our departure day because of a late afternoon flight at no extra cost but obviously if there are other guests arriving then this can't be done. We are missing the villa already !!

We are thrilled to have such a fantastic review so thank you very much It is very satisfying to know that all our efforts to make the villa so special are really appreciated. Hope to see you back soon.

“Lovely views and exactly as described”

Reviewed 8 Dec 2012

It was our first trip to Lanzarote and Jackie and Mark could not have been more helpful. Their directions made arrival stress free and the villa was exactly as described. The gardens and views are lovely. Inside everything was very well equipped, comfortable and user friendly. Outside there were plenty of loungers and different seating areas all around the lovely swimming pool. Playa Blanca itself is wonderful. Having looked around the island and talked to lots of people, Playa Blanca is the place to be.

Thanks for the super review and hope to see you back at the villa before too long.

“A very enjoyable 2011 Christmas”

Reviewed 2 Jan 2012

We have just returned from a very enjoyable 2011 Christmas This was the best decorated/furnished and equipped villa we have visited and is a credit to the owners and all the photos shown are up to date and not several years old The villa was very clean and homely with a well-maintained garden and at no extra cost the pool was heated The internet access was a little temperamental but adequate for our requirements We would recommend car hire from the airport as this is not expensive

So pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We have now solved the internet problem. We previously relied on a piggy back system from our neighbours with their agreement. Lots of villas do this but it wasn't reliable enough so now we have our own dedicated connection.

“The Only Down Side? .........Having to Go Home”

Reviewed 23 Jun 2011

We've just spent a week at Villa Suenos and if I could go back tomorrow, I would! The villa has everything you need for a relaxing break and our family enjoyed every minute of it. Unless you want to tour the island or visit the beaches or treat yourself to the many restaurants of Playa Blanca, there is really no need to leave the villa apart from stocking up the fridge! The pool is a welcome comfort for cooling off and even blow-up beds and a ball were provided. There isn't air-conditioning in the villa but there are portable ones provided to keep cool at night. The villa is in walking distance to the main part of the town (probabaly not if you have small children) but in my opinion, hiring a car is a sensible thing to do if you want to make the most of the area and the rest of the island. Lanzarote is quite an awesome place and we would recommend the beautiful beaches of Papagayo. If you're umming and ahhing about this property...don't! Just go and enjoy!

Thyanks for the feedback. Give us a call and we can see if we can book you to come back!
