Appealing, airy, light and spacious. Particularly relaxing location, detached Villa Citrus with its own private heated pool. Villa Citrus is open plan and accessible situated on the well established private, peaceful, development of Villas del Sur.
There are three cooling tower units available which are very effective and are available for all our guests.
Villa Citrus is especially bright and spacious both inside and out with a large private tranquil terrace. The villa is ideally situated with a convenient bus stop and well stocked supermarket close by. The local bus makes the Marina Rubicon, Playa Blanca town and harbour easily accessible by public transport and also connects to the coach station in Playa blanca which services the north of the island with a regular network and reasonably priced public transport system. It is possible to arrive at the villa from the airport using public transport and a short taxi journey.
The villa is a 20 minute walk or a 2 minute taxi drive to the Marina Rubicon complex which has a fantastic variety of waterfront restaurants, boutique designer shops, beautiful harbour, bowling alley plus a wide range of water sports and leisure activities. Situated a two kilometer walk from Papagayo beaches.
The villa is ideal for groups of friends, families or couples of all ages the villa offers space and privacy to sleep play and relax. The Villa is on one level and easily accessible for people with limited mobility and has a large patio and off road private parking for one vehicle. Villa Citrus is situated on a private, no through access road.
The master ensuite bedroom is situated at one end of the villa whilst the two guest bedrooms and bathroom are at the other end, with the living area, dining area and kitchen in the middle, see aerial plan for layout below.
Villa Citrus comprises of three bedrooms and two bathrooms The master double ensuite bedroom has ceiling fan and light with patio doors leading to the terrace and pool area. Both twin bedrooms share a bathroom with bath and shower over. All bedrooms have plenty of fitted wardrobe space and louvre windows for ventilation. - .
The living, dining, kitchen area is open plan.The living room benefits from a high domed cathedral ceiling and captures natural light. The dining area has a large dining table with 6 chairs. The kitchen is well equipped with breakfast bar, dishwasher, toaster, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, cafetier, picnic set including cool bag and freezer packs. The living area has two comfortable 3 seater adjustable sofas, 32" flat screen tv, dvd, and cd player. There is a decent supply of dvds and books at your disposal.
The large terrace area is spacious and ideal for relaxing comprising of a bbq - six loungers, outdoor dining table seats six and umbrella can be accessed either through the patio doors from the en-suite bed.room or through the patio doors leading from the living room.
500 metres (7 minute walk) from the Villa Citrus you arrive at The beautiful coastal path which is an attractive promenade which leads to The Marina Rubicon, beaches, town, harbour and lighthouse. Should shopping take your fancy then the Marina Rubicon houses some really smart shops selling everything from designer label clothing through to jewellery and cosmetics, as well as restaurants where you can admire the plethora of yachts and then explore the atmospheric little lanes and squares that run off the main Marina.
Playa Blanca also offers the best beaches on Lanzarote with the world famous Papagayo beaches, plus a selection of smaller beaches along the 10 kilometre promenade which runs from the Papagayo beaches to the lighthouse in the west. The new Marina Rubicon is firmly established as a world class boating destination and offers clients the best in cuisine, shopping and a Saturday market. There is also a host of other restaurants to cater for all tastes. Playa Blanca has another market every Wednesday, and the there is a varied shopping selection in the high street. For the sporty types, there is a 9 hole pitch and putt course, diving, sailing, snorkelling, tennis, squash, mountain biking, swimming and many more activities.such as paddle tennis, crazy golf, water sports, bowling alley, small amusement park, trampolining, scuba diving, paragliding and a glass bottom boat.
Many of the 4 and 5 star hotels allow none residents in the evening including the Dream Castillo Hotel and Spa which is a 7 minute walk from the villa and the Papagayo Arena (10 minute walk from the villa).
In the height of summer there is always a nice breeze coming from the sea to cool you down which can be very welcome.

Full payment is required no less than 6 weeks prior to your stay.

A refundable key/breakage deposit of £200 is required at the time of booking, to be returned 7 to 10 days after your departure from the villa provided there are no breakages/damages or loss of keys, and is subject to our manager's inspection.
To hire the high chair and cot will be
£25 per week for both items.
To have the pool heated please add £70 per week.
Villa Citrus has a bbq - which you are welcome to use,- but would request that you clean it after use.
Our managers can clean it for you, but there will be a charge of £25.00.
It is possible to book by credit card, however there will be a charge of 2.5% for this facility, there is no charge for payment by debit card.

Our mission is to achieve a comfortable, spacious and relaxing atmosphere; We feel comfortable beds are important ,as well as plump pillows. We have provided duvets and throws in each bedroom if required. All our rooms are colourful and colour co-ordinated with very effective cooling tower fans for each room with a rotating ceiling fan in the master ensuite,. We also have room heaters if required.
Our manager is Alana and looks after house keeping whilst Frazer is our pool manager.

We have al fresco dining table and chairs which seats 6 people plus a plastic patio set for use round the pool for safety - 6 loungers and 6 comfy lounger cushions and parasol and bbq. Just off the living room to the back of the villa is a small patio and garden which is ideal for secluded sunbathing or perhaps a spot of breakfast or a quiet evening drink.

Clocks go forward and back at the same time as in the UK, and there is no time difference between the UK and Lanzarote. Generally it gets light slightly later in the morning, and dark slightly later in the evening (compared to the UK)

“Wow! Such a Beautiful Holiday”
Wow! We arrived at 9:30pm. Very easy 30min drive from the airport by taxis (owner provided a taxi company and we pre booked) On arrival we were given a lovely selection (Family holiday to parents aged 37 & 47 a 16year old and a 12 year old from England 27/7/2019 - 10/8/2019) 30 min quick taxi journey from airport to villa, very easy and smooth. We pre booked the taxi from a number of a company given by the villa owners. We arrived at 9:30pm at night. We arrived to a good selection of food and bottle of wine to see us through until the morning. Villa was spacious/very clean and extremely well equipped. Books/dvds/games/kitchen equipment lots of local information leaflets/books so we could plan our stay. Lots of different seating areas in the villa and spaces for the family to spread out and relax. All the staff that visited the villa during the two weeks (pool cleaners, lady who changed the linen mid stay and a maintenance man.) were all completely friendly, relaxed, polite and discreet. We paid for pool heating. (definitely worth it for the morning swims and evening swims) The owners are amazing! Friendly but professional, approachable- happy to answer any quick question or enquiry or give advice about Lanzarote itself. Really kind! Communication was awesome... can not fault. So when we woke the next morning and it was light. We were chuffed with the surrounding area, we were situated in a street of villas. And the views of the rubicon and the sea were amazing. The bus stop is like a minutes walk from the villa. Bus fare was around 1.70€ per person. Bus came every 15 minutes on a loop route Taxis could be got to Play Blanca for about 3.80€ Taxis are everywhere just wave one down. Two minutes walk from the villa is the local supermarket We sometimes went 4times a day it was that close and another 2mins further there’s an overseas Supermarket (expensive, but has things you might need even slimming world meals!!!) You can walk down the hill to the sea (5min) and the walk along to the Rubicon marina 10 minute stroll. Markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays are the same but are great!! good atmosphere, lots of souvenirs and in places live music to enjoy by local rising performers Most of Lanzarote has areas of renovation/building work and although this was around as, Nothing impacted directly on us or where we were in the villa. And nothing blocked the stunning views. Recommendations: On the rubicon marina there’s a restaurant at the back over the bridge called Lani’s - wow! Just wow! A little pricy but worth it!! You can a bus to playa Blanca ( one stop after the main bus station) - cross the road and walk to the port in playa Blanca ( we found the ferry express ) it was 36€ per adult 18€ under 12 travel time 25minutes across to fuerturventura.
We have just got back from a 10 day stay at the villa for our 25th wedding anniversary. We were welcomed with champagne chocolate & a card lovely thought We spent our days relaxing around the private pool. My husband lost his passport & even that couldn't spoil our holiday. Shop & iceland few mins walk away the lovely ladys in Iceland helped us get a emergency passport which was sent to them as the villa doesn't always come up on sat navs. We walked to the marina most days or evenings ( 10 min walk ) lovely restaurant bars & shops . We drove 15 mins to papagayo beach beautiful beach & would recommend a visit ( 3 euros to park for the day ) we would definitely recommend the villa as it's in a beautiful place & within walking distance to all you need .

“Well equipped , clean and well maintained bungalow and pool”
Without a car you need to be fit to walk to restaurants etc, although well stocked supermarket nearby. Regular buses half hourly to harbour and Playa Blancha, bus stop nearby, low fare. Lovely coastal path walks. Taxis quite cheap. Alfie's small restaurant, run by English family serves wonderful food. Welcome pack on arrival, really appreciated at bungalow. No complaints, apart from English cleaners on departure seemed grumpy, so make sure you vacate promptly, as we did.

“It did the job!”
We had come away for a week of reading and walking and weren’t disappointed. A semi-retired couple, we always book a property with more than one bedroom because we don’t sleep well in small beds so we were surprised when only the double ( with a standard bed) was made up. After a bit of messaging to the owner, Alana came and made up a second so all was well. However, if you are in a similar situation to us( 2 people who’d like 2 beds) you need to specify this. Villa was comfortable, well-equipped and in a quiet, residential area. The heated pool was a boon and we made good use of it. British TV was handy in the evening, if only to watch the Brexit malarkey. Fantastic walking from the property and, for that reason alone, we would consider returning. Fairly good supermarket really close and we catered well for ourselves. Also ate well on 2 nights in La Petite Marmite on the marina.
