From the owner

Playa Blanca is situated at the southern tip of Lanzarote. The town has grown from the original fishing village with the development of quality shops, restaurants and bars including the newly opened Rubicon Marina. Local fishermen still land their catches in the harbour from where regular ferries also run to Fuertaventura.

Our bungalow is on the small private estate of Casas del Sol which was one of the earlier developments in Playa Blanca. This means that compared to some of the more recently built properties, it is conveniently located within a short walk of the town, port and beaches. Due to its location, it is quite possible to enjoy a holiday in Casas del Sol without a car as all the amenities of Playa Blanca are an easy, short walk. There is however a large car park for visitors who wish to hire a car to explore further afield.

Playa Blanca is more suited to relaxing holidays although many watersports, including scuba diving are available locally and boat trips run from the harbour to the nearby Papagayo Beach which is said to be the best in the Canaries.

Arrival Upon Arrival at Casas del Sol please go into Reception to register and collect the bungalow keys. Reception is open from 8.00 a.m until 10.00 p.m in the winter months and 8.00 a.m. until 12 midnight in the summer. We always inform Reception of your expected flight time. If your flight is delayed it would be advisable to ring Casas del Sol to let them know. They will then ensure that they do not close before you arrive. They speak very good English and are very helpful. Departure On your day of departure, please vacate the bungalow by 10.30am to allow cleaning to take place for our next clients. FULL INFORMATION / INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING THE FACILITIES IN 16A IS AVAILABLE IN THE BUNGALOW.

Why can't I call Barry (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Barry (the owner) a message.

If Barry (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
