“Beautiful villa exactly as advertised”

Reviewed 6 Feb 2017

We have been coming to Lanzarote for 8 years but this was our first experience of self catering with our daughter, 13 months. We have always stayed in Las Coloradas area of Playa Blanca and can confirm the timings provided to the shop and coastal pathway are correct. This is a very quiet and pleasant area mainly residential with a few hotels and restaurants and assure you will enjoy an amazing nights sleep! The villa is exactly as described by Gwyn and Jeanette. Everything you could need is provided (inclouding a complimentary welcome pack) and the WiFi we found faster than at home. It's a nice touch to have British TV and be able to watch Corrie whilst in the sun! The kitchen is extremely well equipped with high quality equipment, there is sufficient for cooking a dinner party. A full compliment of plastic dishes and utensils is also provided for children. You will also find cool bags, bbq equipment, clothes airers, pegs, inflatables for the pool and beach toys in the utility room. Upstairs the towels and bedding are of very high quality and beds were made exactly to my wishes. Towels were plentiful and each bathroom has a bath mat and non slip mat. As stated previously the view from the master bedroom is amazing and lovely to have the door open at night to hear the crickets. Our daughter's cot bed was made very cosily and she slept so well in her own room. She loved the view of the mountains from the landing window each morning. Also provided for her was a high quality highchair, changing may and baby gate at the top of the stairs. The terrace area is wonderfully and impeccably kept. There are sunloungers for every guest and a lovely table with 6 chairs for eating outside. Not to mention the bbq or pool. We met Mike on our first day and he was very friendly. We know a lot about the island anyway from previous visits so he didn't need to provide us with any info but we had a nice chat instead, a very nice man. We got the feeling you could ask him anything. Also agree with Gwyn and Jeanette's recommendation for car hire from Cabrera Medina. By far the best car hire on the island. Our car was only 9 months old. Our weather was also wonderful so was such a lovely week, we are back and looking to rebook. Cannot recommend enough, thank you, we have found somewhere special.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post such a fabulous review on Villa Ginita, it is very kind of you. We are so pleased that our villa met all your expectations, we have tried to add a few extras such as WI-FI and British TV so that our guests feel at home, we are always trying to provide the highest standard of accommodation and when we receive reviews such as yours it makes it all worthwhile. As you mentioned, the location is very quiet yet is close to a well stocked supermarket and also to the Marina Rubicon with it's lovely restaurants, cafes and shops. We are delighted that you found everything that you needed to have a great holiday. We look forward to you returning. Kind regards, Jeanette and Gwyn.

“Beautiful villa with amazing views”

Reviewed 26 Oct 2016

This was our fourth trip to Lanzarote and our second to Marina Rubicon but this was, by far, the best accommodation we've had and it certainly lived up to all its brilliant reviews. The villa is spacious, comfortable, tastefully decorated and very well-equipped. A welcome pack of essentials was waiting for us when we arrived which was a lovely touch, everything was spotless and the rooms were all set up exactly as promised. From the first floor balcony there is an amazing panoramic view while the outside area on ground level is lovely and private, offering some shelter from the Lanzarote breeze! The heated pool and wi-fi were both big hits with our teenage daughters (as was the great selection of DVDs available to borrow!) The villa is ideally situated in a peaceful location, approximately a 15-20min walk from the marina and a short 5min walk from the well-stocked local supermarket. From our initial enquiry through to our return home, Jeanette and Gwyn provided a professional, efficient and friendly service. We had a fantastic holiday, can't wait for a return visit and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Villa Ginita to anyone visiting the island.

We are so pleased that you all had such an enjoyable holiday and that Villa Ginita met all your expectations. We are pleased that you enjoyed the sea and mountain views and that you found the WI-FI and DVD collection enjoyable also. We are delighted to know that you would recommend Villa Ginita to others and we look forward to you returning. Thank you so much for taking the time to post such a superb review on Villa Ginita, it has been a pleasure to have you as our guests. Kind regards, Jeanette and Gwyn.

“Very comfortable, spacious , modern villa , great location, our second visit- a great home from home !”

Reviewed 20 Aug 2016

This was our second holiday at Villa Ginita , the first being 4 years ago ( at the time of the last olympics!) I'm pleased to say that it is still a great place, furnished and finished to the highest standard. the only changes being the addition of WiFi and Internet UK TV. The villa is very spacious and spotlessly clean , as is the outdoor area and pool , where there is plenty of space either in full sun or cooling shade ( you have the choice all day!) -6 quality sun loungers are provided. There is a supermarket with 5 minutes walk where you can stock up on fresh food and freshly baked bread 7 days a week Also , there is a frequent bus service into Playa Blanca centre for dozens of restaurants/ bars and more shops (takes about 15 minutes , €1.20 each ) , or hail a taxi , about €4/5 Alternatively , go to the more upmarket Marina Rubicon for more restaurants /bars, either 20 minutes walk down the popular (and well lit) coastal walkway , or a shorter tax ride than PB Villa Ginita is extremely well equipped and the owners are extremely helpful- from initial booking enquiry, through providing information about the villa and airport transfers , and are genuinely concerned that you have a great time whilst staying at their villa , of which I think they can feel justifiably proud ! We had a second great holiday at Villa Ginita and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to others who appreciate quality and comfort in choosing their holiday villa

We were delighted when you and your family decided to return to Villa Ginita for your holiday and are so pleased that our villa met all your expectations again. Since your last stay at Villa Ginita we have added WI-FI and British TV which has proved to be very popular with all our guests. The convenince of the nearby well stocked supermarket is also a major plus factor as you say. The walkway to the Marina along the coastline is most scenic and the restaurants and bars are excellent as are some of the designer shops. We try so hard to ensure that our guests have a relaxing holiday and a high standard of accommodation, your kind comments tell us we are providing this. Once again we would like to thank you for posting such an excellent review on Villa Ginita. All our very best wishes, Jeanette and Gwyn.

“Great Week, Great Villa, Loved It”

Reviewed 1 Aug 2016

We managed to book the villa very late on, and had looked at it before on Holiday Lettings and noticed it was fully booked all season. However, someone had to move their holiday and we got lucky. Now we've been and enjoyed it, boy we did get lucky. The Villa is in a development a short walk from the new Marina Development which has shops, and plenty of places to eat out in a great setting during the evening. It's quiet, secluded, but has everything you need, including its own pool. We have 12 and 14 year old children and they loved it too, especially the Wifi by the pool. The Villa has everything you need, there is stuff to borrow for the beach, DVDs and books, games - in fact open any cupboard there is something else that's been well thought out. We hired a car for the week, and booked our own flights, but the emails, calls and help from Jeanette and Gwyn made us feel we'd booked it though a great travel agent. A great week, would recommend and go again.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post such a fabulous review on Villa Ginita, we are delighted that our villa met all your expectations and that you enjoyed the little extras that we provide. The nearby Marina Rubicon is very popular with all our guests who like yourselves enjoy dining at the restaurants and generally love the ambience. It has been an absolute pleasure to have you as guests and we are delighted that you are thinking of returning in the future. All our very best wishes go to you and your family. Fantastic Holiday , 2 weeks in the sun with my young family. 3 and 4 year old's. Jeanette and Gwyn are fantastic, and will go the extra mile for you. Mike the pool man is a legend, he kept the pool clean for us for the whole of our stay. we even got fresh new towels for all the bedrooms delivered on our 2nd week which we didnt expect. We know the area quite well so we didnt bother with a car, as the supermarket is a easy 5 min walk for the water and milk run in the morning and also the 30 bus run's from up the road , couple of euros and a 5 min ride and your at the beach and playa blanca. we look forward to returning next year kind regards Morris family

“Gorgeous Villa”

Reviewed 23 Jun 2016

My partner and myself have just arrived back from an 11 night stay and it was wonderful. We arrived late in the evening and were pleasantly surprised to see a welcome pack waiting for us which had some much needed water, tea, milk etc. The villa was stunning as was how much space we had outside. The view from the balcony was amazing. The villa was very clean and it was great to have large bath towels provided, when they were changed over I thought we would get smaller ones but the clean ones were also large, you usually get small ones that you cant wrap around your body. The Marina Rubicon was about a 15 - 20 mins walk which was much needed after the beautiful food we had from various restaurants each night.

We are delighted that you both had such a wonderful stay and that Villa Ginita met all your expectations. We are pleased that you enjoyed the welcome pack especially as you had a late arrival. Many of our guests enjoy the views from the balcony with it's sea and mountain views. We would like to thank you for taking the time to post such an excellent review on Villa Ginita, we appreciate this so much. It has been a pleasure to have you staying at our villa. All our very best wishes go to you both.

“Perfect Holiday”

Reviewed 6 May 2014

The villa was immaculately clean and we felt at home from the minute we arrived. We used the heated pool every day and the sun shone for a whole week. The villa had everything we needed, modern furniture and in a perfect location. Close to a supermarket yet lovely and quiet for a good night's sleep. The Marina Rubicon was around 20 minutes walk away along the coastal promenade, with the main beach at Playa Blanca a further 20 minutes walk. We took the chill out boat from Playa Blanca which was a morning trip and just long enough to relax with a glass of sangria whilst watching the dolphins, fishing and snorkelling. We also visited Teguise Market on the Sunday and the Marina Rubicon market on Wednesday. Had lunch a couple of times at Puerto Calero overlooking the harbour, tapas at the Marina Rubicon and dinner in Playa Blanca, and a couple of home cooked barbecues at the villa. All in all a fabulous holiday, and a beautiful villa, we will be recommending it to all our friends and family.

We are so pleased that you had such a lovely holiday and that Villa Ginita met all your expectations. We would like to thank you for posting an excellent review on our villa and we are delighted that you will be recommending Villa Ginita to your friends and family, it was a pleasure to have you as guests. “Amazing villa”

Reviewed 13 Aug 2013

Just returned from 10 days in playa blanca, it was our first experience of hiring a villa and I must say its definitely the way I'll go in future. The villa is so big and beautiful there is everything in it that you could possibly need. The location was a bit outside the Main Street but this suited us fine with a young family and we enjoyed the evening stroll to the marina plus we had hired a car so distance wasn't a major issue. The whole resort is much nicer and less busy than porta del carmen which we had stayed in previously and I would most certainly return in future. Big thanks to Jeanette and Gwyn who were of great assistance with the whole booking experience and to Mike who looked after our lovely pool and provided us with his local knowledge.

Thank you so much for posting such a lovely review on Villa Ginita. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay in our villa,it is so pleasing for us to know that Villa Ginita met all your expectations and that you had a great holiday. Once again many thanks for your lovely comments, they mean so much. Jeanette and Gwyn.

“Everything catered for”

Reviewed 11 Aug 2013

First visit to Lanzarote. We regularly rent private villas but this was the cleanest and well thought out - we did not want for anything. Great location, nice and quiet but close to amenities and we enjoyed the scenic coastal walk. We recommend the Marina and Lanis was good for an icecream, snack or dinner. We had a rental car and visited a lot of the island. We did not use the local bus service but it was near by. Jeanette was quick to respond to our enquiry, was informative and very helpful. Our deposit was returned promptly upon our return. Great customer service throughout and would highly recommend.

We would like to thank you so much for posting such an excellent review on Villa Ginita. We are delighted that you enjoyed your holiday and that you were so pleased with our villa, we try hard to maintain a good standard for our guests to enjoy and kind comments such as yours tell us that we are succeeding. “Wished we'd stayed longer”

Reviewed 28 Jul 2013

Villa Ginita is located in a quiet area with lovely views. It is imaculately maintained and is spacious both inside and out, with plenty of storage and very well equipt. The large outside space was great as you had sun spots for sunbathing and shady parts to escape the heat. Lovely large balcony off the main bedroom, ideal in the late evening with a glass of vino. The washing machine came in very handy as did the DVD library as none of us had seen 'Skyfall' ! There is a well stocked supermarket 5 mins away. You can also catch the local bus near here which travels the full length of Playa Blanca. (No buggys/prams allowed on buses). The villa is located a little further from the Marina than I expected however we really enjoyed the scenic coastal walk. The Marina is very pretty with many good restaurants. Lani's was a particular favourite of ours (free wifi). The beach is also a must however you do find yourself running out of sand as the tide comes in. Lanzarote can be breezy however I found this an advantage when walking. And you can walk for miles and miles along the sea front. I would recommend Villa Ginita to anyone looking for a villa rental in this area and would like to return one day.

We are so pleased that you and your family had such an enjoyable holiday and that Villa Ginita was all that you had hoped for, it is so pleasing for us to know that our guests are happy and relaxed,we try so hard to maintain a high standard. We are also delighted that you would like to return in the future. Once again thank you for your lovely comments. All our best wishes, Jeanette and Gwyn.
