This lovely villa is located on a residential development of new villas on the outskirts of Playa Blanca town centre. The resort centre is approximately a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive from the villa to the nearest beach. There is a local supermarket just a 5 minute walk from the villa.
In recent years Playa Blanca has grown from a traditional Canarian fishing village into a fashionable tourist resort and has retained a great deal of its original character. The beautiful Papagayo beaches are only a 10 minute drive away and are famous throughout Spain for their unspoilt location, golden sands and aquamarine, clear waters.
The unspoilt Canarian villages of Las Brenas, El Golfo and Femes are only a short drive away, as is the volcanic national park of Timanfya.
The master bedroom and dining room have walk out terrace doors onto the pool and the lovely garden. All of the bedrooms are accessed by the interior, open air central courtyard. Master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with very large bath. The terrace doors lead out to the terrace. En-suite bath is very spacious and has a bidet, glassed in shower and double sinks.
Bright, spacious living room feels lovely after a hard day relaxing by the pool! Leather sofas and large leather chair help to make this room feel cozy and comfortable. The apex ceiling also lends to the feeling of spaciousness.
The dining room has terrace doors leading straight out to the BBQ and pool area. The Satellite television, internet connection, compact stereo and DVD player are all located in the living room for your enjoyment.
All bath towels and linen are provided. There is a weekly maid service in which we change all the linen and towels and give a clean of the property. There is also a towel change in the middle of the week. Other services are available on request. New beach towels now also provided.

The Canary Islands region
Whether specialized excursions such as photography walking routes, or a personal chef for a day is required or simply desired, we can find it for you. Just ask. We love to think that we have the ideal climate always....though the reality is that it can get cool in some of the winter evenings. We have several heaters for your use as well as Fans for when it gets too hot.
The Volcanic mountains can be seen from the villa on one side and the ocean on the other side.
The pretty harbour of Playa Blanca is the departure point for many excursions including trips to the neighbouring islands of Fuerteventura and Los Lobos. A water taxi is also available to take people to Papagayo beaches.
The recently opened Puerto Rubicon Marina is a ten minute drive from the villa and is the location of many exclusive boutiques, bars and restaurants. Several excursions, including a catamaran trip depart from the Marina. Playa Blanca is approximately a 40 minute transfer from the airport. We have a helpful book in the villa which outlines interesting places to go as well as specific clues and tips .
Two days a week there is a local market which is fun to visit and buy gifts. This residential area is very peaceful and friendly. We have additional fencing around the property to enhance privacy. The locals love to have fiestas! We keep as much local up to date information in the villa as possible, and our guestbook gives great ideas to following visitors.
There is a local supermarket just a five minute walk from the villa. 35km from the airport. 2km to the nearest restaurant.

"Lovely villa and great location"
Just arrived back from a 9 night stay at villa possamari and would rate the whole holiday very highly. We hired a car and drove to the beach daily (playa flamingo) this only took 5mins and the beach is perfect for young children as the sea is very calm. I would definitely recommend the use of a hire car especially for the supermarket trips and the beach if you have young children. The villa itself was spacious, clean, well maintained and thoroughly cleaned both outside and in during our stay. The pool and hot tub were great too. I would have given the villa a five but haven't for one reason - the wind!! As previously described by another family the villa acts as a very noisy wind tunnel and any amount of wind makes a huge amount of noise inside, especially to the front where the main bedroom is. Some nights the noise was so loud i struggled to get to sleep because of it. This was a great shame but i guess it is just the structure of the building??!! If the wind noise was not an issue i would re book this villa without a second thought.

"Depends what your looking for"
Playa blanca is a lovely resort, quiet frontage promenade with plenty of restaurants to choose from. The villa has a number of pros and cons which I will list below. For us the villa didn't quite live up to our expectations from the description and review however each to their own. And what bothers one might be fine with another therefore As an aide memoir to the description and previous review I would add the following for your information . PROS : *Very clean inside and pool. *Amanda (the villa manager) was as helpful as she could be, however she is just the manager and not the owner. *close to town centre €4 there (with tip) and €5 back (with tip) taxi firm excellent &arrived within minutes of phoning. * kitchen well equipped - although no wash liquid, dishwasher tabs or soap powder (usually the case so take your own) *beds and bedding clean and fresh - beds a little hard but that was ok for us. CONS: * the villa is "open on 3 sides with a screen along the back fence- this means the pool, BBQ and eating area are in view of the road (granted only estate traffic) but no privacy and we felt the photos make these areas look like they were enclosed- its not! In fact when we arrived we were sure we had got the wrong villa - from the BBQ area you can see over both adjoining villas garden and part pool areas (behind and in front) * the hot tub is very overlooked from the villa and pool area of the villa behind - there is no privacy and again clever photography makes it look more private than it is. * due to the open railings aspect between adjoining villas (particularly around the hot tub area) it acted like a wind tunnel and at times the wind was just too strong (i know Lanzarote is windy but this was beyond what you would expect for Lanzarote) this also meant using a parasol was out of the question which is born out of the parasol grave yard in the back store cupboard so finding shade ( under the only tree) without a Gail was hard to achieve.(the villa would really benefit from some screened areas as other villas on the estate have done) Amanda provided a new parasol on our last day and given it was overcast it went unused. *The description or google maps/earth do not state or show that the villa is adjacent to a hotel complex with a very large water theme park area that backs onto the villa with approx 300yds of wasteland between - the music starts about10am until around 6pm and alongside a kids club with lots of shouting there are obviously a lot of excited kids using the facilities. * generally everything outside and in the lounge area is "worn" and tired - this is a holiday villa not someone's home and there are signs that things are a little shabby - stained and worn settees and chairs, hot tub seen better days and general lack of love or attention. * hot water pressure very poor - only decent shower in main en suite and only just- hot water takes a good 5 mins to run hot. * en suite jacuzzi not working - we were informed prior to arrival but looks like its been out of action for some time and no plug. * not sure if its the layout of the villa or lack of screening but when lying in bed , all night you can hear the wind whistling as if its the middle of winter, we have holidayed in canaries for a few years now , we know its windy but we have never had this happen- very strange when you know where you are - at times felt like I didn't want to get out of bed as it gave the impression that it was cold. * do not rely on uk tv channels all you will get is soft porn phone channels, shopping channels food network, true films and a music channel. We were informed there was sky but there wasn't and although Amanda brought a sky box the satellite dish was not set up for sky so it failed to work. As stated the villa was (for us) very average with a few disappointments in the tv (which we particularly checked prior to booking and were misinformed) the water park location, noise and the lack of privacy which are not stated in the description- but if this doesn't bother you and you are looking for something basic I guess the villa would suit. On balance I wouldn't recommend this villa to my friends because I know it wouldn't suit but as said it might be ok for you. Happy holiday

"Relaxing luxury, spacious, modern and clean!"
We had wanted to stay here previously as this was our third villa holiday in Playa Blanca but it was booked up early. We both very much liked the look of the villa from the advert and were not disappointed. On arrival we looked around and thought it looked like a house out of MTV cribs, huge on-suite from the master bedroom with another two separate bathrooms for the other bedrooms which comes off the internal courtyard (which is a nice feature). All the rooms are large and spacious and the internal courtyard gives a degree of separation to each part which means that larger groups wouldn’t feel on top of each other all the time. The living room is nice to relax in with big wall mounted flat screen TV. Kitchen is open and very functional. The dining room has a long banquet table which is very pleasant to eat at, a good party could be had here alright! The living room was comfy with two three seater couches and a big armchair, plenty Sky channels to entertain yourselves for a while if needed. The wifi connection was good, I used it a lot to keep up to speed with work emails (self-employed so very necessary), also the speed was good as I uploaded holiday videos for relatives to see. Plenty portable & ceiling fans available to keep the temp down for those like me who feel the heat at night. Our favourite part is the considerable front garden with pool, big Jacuzzi, BBQ, sun loungers and eating area. We spent most of the day out here, nobody overlooking us, lots of room and gets the sun all day. The villa sits on the far N.E. corner of the cul-de-sac (map on web site is wrong), and therefore has considerably more room that the other villas. Easily the nicest property in the street (possibly area). The walk into town is about 10-15min (depending on your walking pace) but is mostly downhill so never a problem. We walked this every day for a fortnight and it was enjoyable, but always got a taxi back as there are plenty in town and the cost is about €3. Restaurants are great in the town, enough for a different one each lunch or dinner. If you want a relaxing holiday at a faultless property with all the mod cons and tons of room, close to a lovely quaint town with nice bars/restaurants then this is the place for you. It will take something particularly good to tempt us away from returning next year!
