“Perfect home from home”
This villa was just perfect. Extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. Lots of little extras like books and games, there is also a DVD player but not much choice so bring a few with you. The location was brilliant. Two supermarkets at the top of the street one of which was equipped with many favourites from home. There were several shops and various restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Then there was Marina Rubicon just 10 minutes walk where there was a great choice of fabulous food and a lovely market on Wednesday and Saturday. Keep walking for another 10 minutes and you are in Playa Blanca where there are even more shops and restaurants. In short this is the perfect villa in the perfect location and you certainly don't need a car......we loved it.
“Excellent Family Holiday”
Excellent family holiday, accommodation exceeded expectations. Fully equipped, wifi, with a sea view, heated swimming pool and plenty of space. Great location 5min walk to beach, cycle hire and the seaways which we enjoyed. 10 min walk to Marina Rubicon where there a plenty of restaurants's and further 10 min walk to Playa Blanca. If you don't want to walk you can get the number 30 bus that goes every half an hour and only 500m away to bus stop. Then maybe get the number 61 bus from the bus station and visit Puerto Del Carmen very inexpensive. The secluded and sandy Papagayo beaches are only a 20min walk in the other direction but worth the effort. The Dino supermarket and new Iceland store are on 200m away so ideal for all self catering requirement. Dave the owner was always to quick to respond to emails if there were any question or advice. Would use again without doubt.
Me and my wife booked this for 2 weeks last December we had been looking forward to it for ages monarch let us down going bump the panic set in a bit we could only get flights for the next day ie Sunday not Saturday I contacted the owner at 6 am to see if we could change the dates he got back to me 10 mins later and it was sorted that goes a long way with me as for the villa it was perfect for us going back next year with kids and grandkids the area where the villa is if you don't know the area is so chilled out and relaxing very little noise ie 20 separate radios all banging away just the sound of people having fun not in your face everyone has the same mindset of respecting other people's space everything is within a max 20 min walk or the bus into playa blanca is 5 mins from the door if that a taxi will cost 3-4 euros and the supermarket is on your doorstep and they have opened a Waitrose/Iceland 2 min walk away this stocks everything you can get back home not much more to add we've been to the area 3 years on the trot
“Great villa, relaxing holiday”
Great location, with lovely views in a quiet area. There is small supermarket just 2 minutes walk away and a bus stop close by for Playa Blanca so a car is not a necessity though we chose to hire one (through Auto Plus Car who we'd highly recommend) as this was as cheap as paying for return airport transfers. Marina Rubcion is approx a 15 minute walk away along the lovely coastal promenade and has a good range of bars, restaurants and shops. We also walked into Playa Blanca a couple of evenings (approx 30-40 minute walk) & got a taxi back which cost less than 5€ The villa is spacious with good decor, tastefully furnished (with a lovely large comfy sofa), great wifi connection, a well equipped kitchen & comfortable beds. The heated pool was a real bonus, so warm and immaculately maintained. We have stayed many times in this area which we highly recommend for a relaxing holiday but this was our first stay at Brisa Marina villa and we would definitely stay again. The reason we give 4 stars rather than 5 is for a few minor issues though the owner is aware of these and will be resolving.
“Excellent location and exactly as pictured.”
Villa is close enough for easy access to Marina Rubicon and Papagayo beaches, but in a very quiet area. View from master bedroom is amazing. Would definitely visit again.
On arrival everything seemed great. All looked clean and as described in the advert. The villa is in a good location, with lovely views, a well stocked supermarket at the top of the street, and an easy 10 - 15 minute walk to Marina Rubicon. In the other direction, a small rocky beach very close, and a small shopping centre, with another good supermarket. The pool was wonderful as the weather was hot and the children (14 & 7) spent a lot of time in it! The kitchen was well stocked with cutlery and crockery, and just enough pans and oven dishes to put a simple meal together. The beds, although very low, were comfortable and there was plenty of wardrobe space in each room, and a useful safe in the master bedroom wardrobe. Although there was a TV, we were unable to get any reception for any channels apart from Radio channels. The Wifi worked perfectly, which was useful for us all! The outdoor area was well equipped with sun beds, table and chairs, and the Canopy was very welcome for outside dining at lunchtime. My only citicism is that the interior and exterior is a bit scruffy and tired looking. It wouldn't take too much to tidy it up a bit. From what we could see, the villas on either side of us had much newer facilities, and looked a little more cared for. The interior of the villa just needs a good deep clean, I.e. Under beds and other furniture, and in the corners of the kitchen and bathrooms were very dusty and obviously got missed when the villa is cleaned between lets. I would stay at this villa again in the future due to its location, I would just like to see that it is cared for a little more!!
Owner's reply: Hi Debbie Thanks for your review. All suggestions for improvents we take on board. We just wanted to say that since you stayed at the villa, we have had the whole of the inside repainted. We have bought two new single beds which fit higher off the floor. New curtains have been fitted together with new cushions and new bedding We have also bought a lot more crockery and pans etc. We also had a large brick barbecue built which has proved a big success. We replaced the pool cover and the outside of the villa has been repainted as have all the boundary walls. We were able to do all this work during a period of 12 days when the villa was quiet. Before then it had been booked pretty much consistently so making refurbishments work difficult. Hopefully if you were to return you would see a big difference and all for the better. Kind regards Dave
My friend and I stayed here for a week for my 50th birthday. Perfectly located with a beautiful view of the sea from the main balcony. Grocery shop 1 minute away. We hired a car and received instructions how to get to the Villa, which were fine. (I download offline Google Maps to use too). The Villa had everything we needed. Wifi was a bonus. Can't think of any negatives, and we hope to be back. There were only 2 of us, but it has 3 bedrooms and there is more than enough room for a family.
“Lovely to be back”
It is a family tradition to stay in Playa Blanca over Christmas and myself and my partner have rented out this villa for the second Christmas running. We were very pleased with the improvements that have been made since our last stay- the villa now has updated outdoor table and furniture on both upstairs balconies, allowing for lovely meals and/or drinks to be taken in comfort. There are now sun-bed mattresses and plenty of cushions to allow for those lazy poolside days to be even more comfortable. The location is perfect for us- 2 minutes walking distance literally up the street to the best local supermarket for fruit and veg and gluten free snacks (for me!), close to the gorgeous Rubicon marina and lovely beaches, all accessible along Playa Blanca's lovely promenade. It is a clean and family friendly resort, with many nice restaurants and cafes close by, all within walking distance (since the resort is mostly flat). For the more adventurous, there are other things to do too- climbing the volcano was a good one- you can get the bus at the top of the street to the Paradise Island complex, from there it is a short walk to the start of the path up the volcano. It isn't a difficult walk and the views from the top over the resort and to Lobos and Fuerteventura are well worth seeing. We also took the Armas ferry to Fuerteventura for the day, the plan was to then catch a boat on to Lobos but unfortunately there was a strong wind causing big waves that day, so the Lobos trips were all cancelled. Nevertheless, we had a nice day out exploring the Sand dunes and Campanario square of Fuerteventura. You can't beat Playa Blanca though, so it was lovely to return. All in all this villa is a wonderful place to stay, really comfortable and well decorated- bright and airy with lovely sea view from the upstairs bedroom and balcony- close to all necessary amenities and within easy reach of lovely cafes and restaurants. We will be coming back; I am happy that we found this villa and that it has become a key part of our Christmas traditions.
““Relaxing Holiday, great location - Part 3””
Our third stay at this Villa in less than 2 years says it all!! Once again everything you need within the villa and on your doorstep, enjoyed a thoroughly relaxing 14 days in the sun. Thanks
“A lovely villa in a quiet but convenient location exactly as described.”
We've just returned from a week at a Villa Brisa. The villa is in a great location, quite but only a 15 minute leisurely walk to the Marina Rubicon and less to the Playa Papagyo beaches. It is very comfortable and well equipped with the added bonus of a heated pool. Dave was very helpful in the booking (which was very last minute!) and providing information.
