Annie's Villa has been approved by the Greek Tourist Board EOT and is legal to advertise and rent.
EOT Reference Number 10 42 K 12 3K 03656 0 0.
The property has 2 bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin, but also has a sofa bed in the lounge so can sleep up to 6. There are floor to ceiling wardrobes so plenty of space to hand your holidays clothes. Patio doors open out from each room, with a table on each for further lounging. The lounge patio area looks out to the sea from the front and the White Mountains to the left, it is truly mesmeric. A few minutes walk takes you down to Plaka Square, a very special place indeed.
There are several restaurants and a Sports Bar, but more a bar for people watching that happens to show sport. It is also where our mail gets delivered to so we have pop in occasionally ;) There is satellite TV and a DVD player and some books. Feel free to watch our DVD's and read or swap books as you like.

There is a fully equipped kitchen and also a BBQ available. There is air conditioning in each room and also ceiling fans. There are plenty of travel plugs, and alarm clocks in the bedrooms - in case you have a trip booked! There is a dining table in the living room, though we mostly tend to eat on the outside tables to take in the beautiful views!
There is a dongle available for wi-fi access though you would need to buy airtime from the local Vodaphone shop. However, all the local bars etc do also provide free wi-fi.
The pool is used at your own risk. The plot is shared with 2 other Villas, however the other Villas are owned and not let, so are quite often empty and you have the area to yourself.
The Chania Prefecture region
Crete can be described as beautiful, amazing, ancient and mythical. The biggest and most mysterious island of Greece, it is full of archaeological, historical and even mythical places that reveal for us the pictures of the past. It's the ideal place to have memorable holidays for both history fans and travellers who just want to enjoy the sea and bright sun.
Crete's nature is beautiful and varied: mountains, planes, and forests all can be found here. There is a great number of wildlife, plants and flowers that are unique to the island. Crete is a very popular destination for tourists from all over the world. Families, couples and loners come here to feel the unique atmosphere of this island. There are lots of wonderful beaches along the coast, so you can choose the one you like.
There are a great number of nice villages and small towns, and there are truly individual places that offer you their own mood, style and setting. Whatever takes your fancy, I'm sure you can find it in Crete.
Plaka and the surrounding villages were used for filming some of the scenes from Fiddler on the Roof, in fact there is a statuette in the main square in tribute. It is not actually square, it is more of a strip, but it is a very special place to us. The local restaurants offer excellent food and wine at very reasonable rates. We eat out mostly, but a couple of nights like to BBQ at the Villa too.
Almerida beach is close by, and due to it being shallow until very far out, it is excellent for young children. Further on you also have Kalyves, more beautiful beaches and restaurants. The town of Chania itself has to be seen. A bustling harbour town it has a lovely market, including Leather Street, and beautiful back lanes originally designed to the width of 2 donkeys.
There is a fantastic water-park near Chania http://www.limnoupolis.gr/ as well as Lake Kournas for pedalos and Georgopolis for more beautiful beaches and the lovely little church out on a jetty.
