Amazing brand new custom high end 5 bedroom, 6 bath home on private-island. Your own private island! Only your group and the onsite staff, who have separate detached housing, will be on the island during your stay. This uniquely designed compound home includes 5 private suites specifically laid out to take advantage of the amazing sea and mountain views and the cool trade winds right off the Placencia Peninsula in Southern Belize.

Little Harvest Caye (LHC) is a 1.5 acre island that is located just 3/4 of a mile from the center of Placencia Village. LHC was completed in January of 2016. The island is uniquely situated to have panoramic views in all directions of the Maya Mountains, open ocean and Placencia Village.

Little Harvest Caye offers an experience like no other in Belize. We offer the service and amenities of our other private luxury homes on the mainland in the Placencia area, on your own private island just a short 5 minute boat ride from the charming Placencia Village. You have a boat and driver at your disposal to go any time for dinner, bar hopping, shopping, or taking in the many other sites and attractions. Thus guests of LHC truly have the best of both worlds, the privacy, exclusivity and uniqueness of being on a private island, all the comforts of home (ac in all bedrooms, wifi, cable tv etc.) and the convenience and ability to take the LHC private boat to the village anytime to enjoy all that Placencia has to offer.

LHC is outfitted with all the comforts of home including high-end eco friendly Bamboo Sheets, Heavenly Bed style mattresses and everything else you would expect from a high end resort.

Some resorts talk about being green but LHC is legitimately about as green as any property can get. LHC is power by a state of the art 45,000 watt solar system, with literally a room full of batteries to power the island when the sun is not out making it truly off-grid.

While LHC does have new very quite clean burning butane 40KW back up generator to provide power to the island during extended periods of rain or heavy clouds its use is not required under normal circumstances and responsible use of the air conditioners in each of the bedrooms. A very focused building design effort and details like all lighting on island being the latest in LED technology, all butane cooking, water heating and even refrigeration, all ceiling fans being the most efficient DC technology on the market and the in room mini split AC systems all employing the latest extremely efficient and quiet inverter type units, truly make it where LHC can satisfy 100% of its electric needs from its solar system.

Placencia itself also is an ideal location to explore all Belize has to offer. In Placencia you have access to both land and sea tours and excursions most less than 1 hour away. Our concierge, Mabel will assist in planning and booking your activities to enable you to get the most out of your trip.

Placencia and the area around LHC is home to some of the best salt water fly fishing for Bone, Permit and Tarpon on the world as well as amazing snook, snapper and other fishing literally right off of the island.

Placencia is also know for amazing diving and snorkeling including an annual visit each year in the Months of March to June of the amazing and elusive Whale Shark.

All the dive boats and fishing boats leaving from Placencia drive past the island every day when they are heading out and returning for the day! The LHC concierge can arrange to have guests going diving and fishing to be picked up and dropped off at the island dock.

Main Living Area, Bar & Kitchen

Massive open air main living area, kitchen and bar with soaring custom thatch roof and elegant Belizean woodwork. This area will have a large full walk around bar, eat in kitchen and private study. The living area is overlooking the pool and the sandy white beach complete with amazing views of the Maya Mountains. The pool is a large freshwater, concrete pool with tanning ledge, covered seating area/bar, layout deck and pool volleyball.

Master Bedroom and Bath - Dolphin Suite

This huge private bathroom has a large covered private balcony, large closets, and a make-up vanity/desk. The bathroom is a separate private room with thatch ceiling, concrete counter tops with his and her sinks, free standing tub, walk in shower as well as separate large outdoor shower. Dolphin Suite has a king bed and two child size (5 foot) daybeds.

Bedroom 2 & 3 and Associated Baths - Jaguar and Howler Monkey Suites

These large private bedrooms will share one common wall, each with a private covered patio and ocean views. Each bedroom has its own private bath that is a separate room with thatch roof, Onyx sink, concrete counter tops and walk in shower. Howler Monkey Suite has a 2 queen beds. Jaguar Suite has 1 queen bed and 1 child size (5') day bed.

Bedroom 4 and Bath - Permit Suite

This large private bedroom will have a private covered patio with beautiful ocean views. This unit is complete with a private bath in a separate room with thatch roof, Onyx sink, concrete counter tops and walk in shower. Permit Suite has 1 queen bed.

Bedroom 5 and Bath - Mantee Suite

This large private bedroom will have a private covered patio with beautiful ocean views. This unit also has a complete private bath with a walk in shower as well as separate large outdoor shower. Manatee Suite has 1 queen bed.

LHC also has a detached staff house where the onsite staff lives that is connected to the mechanical room and laundry. The mechanical room houses the solar equipment, batteries and standby generator that are part of LHC's sophisticated self contained high end solar power system.

Water for the island is city water that comes from Placencia Village (via pipe installed under the sea) as well as rain water collection. Potable water is stored under the main living structure out of site in a series of large water storage tanks to ensure that the supply of portable water is never an issue on LHC.

Additional amenities include: ping pong table, dock/boat-slip, pool table, concierge, private chef, coffee maker, essentials, kids friendly, bed linens/towels, massage on request, parking included, smoking forbidden, staff, breakfast included.
