"Casa doña Inés" is an authentic Andalucian patio-mansion in the heart of the friendly village Pizarra. It was the Cuban doctor Felipe de Moya Pichardo that had the house built in 1873. It is recently restored in its original splendor and in which the historical beauty of the neo-classical residence has been preserved. The spacious flowery patio is an oasis of tranquility and inspiration. Its detached guest-house as well as its guest-room downstairs in the main building both have two beds (200x90), a private bathroom,WiFi and a sitting area with a.o. coffee/tea facilities. The guest-house also has a large sitting room downstairs with SatelliteTV, CD/DvD player and fridge and a private roof terrace with panoramic mountain views across Pizarra and the Guadalhorce valley. The guesthouse is ideal for a longer stay.

Breakfast will be served in the patio or in the diningroom of the main building. The cosy lounge with books and documentation about Spain, Andalucia and teh province of Málaga also is a cosy place to have a nice talk.

Pizarra is situated only 30 km inland from the airport and Málaga City. Worth mentioning is its own train station on the railway Málaga-Córdoba. Many guests make relaxed daytrips by train to Málaga, Ronda or Córdoba. So, no problem to have a glass of wine! On the way you enjoy the nice landscapes of Andalucia. Back home you enjoy the streetlife of Pizarra, the flowery patio or your private terrace.

Pizarra is surrounded by several natural parks such as “El Chorro”, “El Torcal” and “Sierra de las Nieves”. Ideal for daytrips, if you like in combination with walking, swimming or biking. The Medical Wellness Facilities in Carratraca (15 minutes) are unique in Spain.
If you prefer not to drive yourself, a multilingual driver/guide can be arranged to map out your daytrip and to accompany you.

We - Hans en Marlene - are a Dutch couple and were the lucky ones to restore this unique house with care from 2003 till 2006. All the historical details like"azulejos' , marble fountains, torracotte decorations, many doors, windows and shutters with its original furniture were kept intact. During the restauration people told us the most fabulous stories about the house. So we were told that the famous paiter Picasso stayed here several summers because of his health probleems in Malaga. Lateron three paintigs should have decorated the dining room. We take the stories for what they are. Anyway, after travelling and being guests at dining tables all over the world we now enjoy to have interesting guests from all over the world at our dining table in Pizarra.
