Croftinloan Gate Lodge really does have everything you need and more. With a gas woodburning stove in the sitting room and Victorian gas fires in both bedrooms it is the perfect romantic getaway pad.
This stunning little cottage is truly tranquil with 2 large double or twin bedrooms - one of the rooms can accommodate an extra bed and we can provide cots . There is one beautiful bathroom with a large roll top, ball and claw foot bath to soak away in!The living room has 2 sofas,a gas woodburning stove, Flat screen TV ,DVD player and free WIFI. A small but well equipped country kitchen with dining table for 4 , washing machine, dishwasher and tumble dryer . There is a delightful small Garden with lovely walks straight out of the back door up the hill and we welcome well behaved children and dogs! There is excellent private parking and a bus stop 2 minutes from the Lodge.
Croftianloan Gate Lodge is also part of award winning East Haugh House Hotel , 50 yards away.The food is so delicious you will want to take the chef home with you! The hotel also has a salmon fishing beat on the famous River Tay, Dalmarnock. Permits to fish can be obtained from the hotel who can also provide professional tuition and tackle hire. Game shooting can also be arranged on nearby estates through East Haugh House Hotel - Pheasant, Partridge, Grouse, Stags etc
Pitlochry is 1 mile north of the Lodge where you will also find a supermarket and an excellent range of shops. 8 miles north of Pitlochry is "The House of Bruar" otherwise known as "The Harrods of the North"- a shopping experiance to die for! Well worth a visit!

Croftianload Gate Lodge has a BBQ and a small garden with outside dining facilities. There is storage for equipment, - ski's, fishing tackle, bikes, top boxes etc.
There is ample private parking for up to 3 cars and beautiful highland walks straight out of the back door.Award winning East Haugh House hotel is 50 yards away serving wonderful fresh fish and shell fish, game is season and some of the best Aberdeen Angus steaks in Perthshire www.easthaugh.co.uk.
Lets can be a minimum 2 nights or full week depending on the time of year.
A 50% deposit is due with your booking with the balance payable in full 6 weeks prior to arrival.
For cancellations made more than 6 weeks prior to arrival , there will be a full refund of your deposit , less a £50 administration fee. Cancellations made any less than 6 weks prior to arrival will be charged in full.
The Perth and Kinross region
Highland Perthshire is literally at the heart of Scotland. It is a magical land of glens with spire like peaks that melt into forested slopes, clear lochs with rushing rivers. There are fairy tale castles, ruins, famous whisky distilleries and many idyllic towns like Pitlochry, Blair Atholl, Kenmore , Killin, Crieff, Aberfeldy, Dunkeld, and Perth.
Loch Tummel seen from Queen's View and the rugged beauty of Loch Rannoch offer canoeing, sailing and fishing. Nature lovers do not have to go far because deer, pheasants, grouse, hare, squirrels and other rare birds and animals are regular visitors to the vicinity. Several golf courses are in the nearby towns of Aberfeldy, Pitlochry and St Fillans. For those who want the flexibility, transport, hire, dining and catering are all available in the local Pitlochry and Dunkeld villages . Rannoch Station (West Highland line) is only 17 miles away
Walkers are especially spoiled for choice. If you want to bag a Munro or a take gentle stroll along riverside and forest paths, the local area can offer many opportunities. A short distance from the cottage there numerous walks on the Atholl estate from the gentle to the challenging. There are walking networks around many of the towns and villages such as Pitlochry, Dunkeld, Blairgowrie, Crieff and Comrie,the area is full interesting features such as the sites of Roman camps, medieval castles, whisky distilleries and Victorian follies.
Historic Dunkeld, with its cathedral and restored 17th century buildings is well worth a visit. as is Birnam Institute which provides a home for the Beatrix Potter Exhibition & Garden. Beatrix Potter drew inspiration for 'The Tales of Peter Rabbit' from her childhood holidays spent along the banks of The River Tay.
Each year in August the increasingly popular Blair Atholl International Horse Trials and Country fair are held, attracting riders from all over the world.
And for theatre lovers the famous Pitlochry Festival Theatre is just a short drive away offering a wonderful selection of plays and events throughout the summer and beyond.
There are water sports in abundance from Fly Fishing to white water rafting and canyoning.Golf courses galore from the hilly at Pitlochry to the magnificent at Taymouth Castle.Pony Trekking in Kenmore, Blair Atholl, Glen Lyon and Dunkeld and all number of other extreme sports.
The area lends its self to all sorts of adventures. For the more sedate there is excellent local shopping , many places to eat, local arts and crafts and specialist book shops.
