This exclusive sea-side villa has direct access to a deserted sandy beach. The villa is a reconstruction of a 300 years old Dutch house . Once you enter the villa that old romantic atmosphere overtakes you.

All rooms have high ceilings , A/C , fan , luxury beds ensuite bathroom with toilet and walk-in-shower .

There is a sitting room and a veranda dining area for 30 persons with ocean view .

Also in the cosy summerhut you can enjoy your drinks and meals .

The house is comfortable furnished . The kitchen is fully equipped

More than 60 films on DVD and more than 100 music CDs are at your disposal .

There is swimming pool and a baby pool in the exotic garden surrounded by a terrace with wooden deck chairs .

The city of Galle with his world famous historical fortress is at 7 km .

we stayed here for 6 nights, the location right on the beach, we particularly enjoyed having breakfast ,dinner in front of the sea. excellent service, impressive atmosphere and facillities, highly recommended!!!

“Absolute tranquility and relaxation”

Stayed here in February 2012 for two weeks with a lagre group of friends (16). Location right on the beach is perfect, but waves right at the front can be large. For kids and adults looking for calmer waters there's a nice strech of very shallow beach just short stroll a away (150 meters or so). Location is very quiet but there're good connections to south coast sightseeing. Pittiwella Boossa is located right between Hikkaduwa and Galle so the tuktuk's don't cost too much to either of these places nor to Unawatuna's brilliant beach. Service is really good so you won't have to lift a finger unless you want to;-D The cook prepared all our meals and they were gorgeus and plentyfull. The only problem was that the food was so good that all of gained extra weight and all our winter clothes were really thight on departure. The food was also amazingly cheap even though we had several diffrent courses on every meal! And always a dessert - try the local curd. The manager is really helpfull and organized many trips for us. Take a whale watching trip from Mirissa if you just have time! You have to leave dead early but it'll be worth it. And we all miss the house puppy, Buli!

“Perfect for 2 or more families or large group of friends”

We stayed at the ''Old Lady by the Sea '' for 1 week this Easter holiday 2012 with 2 other families (9 children from aged 10 to 15 and 7 adults ) . It had good a/c bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms and plenty of space for everyone to find time to themselves or join in . The staff were friendly and helpful , and at same time you could also make your own coffee, tea or snack anytime you pleased . It was our ''home'' for a week and would recommend if you want more than a hotel room. We bought fish and groceries from the market and had some wonderful dinners and cooked breakfasts freshly made during our stay. Is also easy to go to nearby restaurants in Galle or Hikkaduwa . Location was good for accessing local area including Hikkaduwa for beach and surfing just 10 mins away and further south to (45 mins) Mirissa for whale watching and 45 mins to Bentota in the North . Galle Fort just 5 mins away in tuk tuk ! Really enjoyed our stay and great memories . we will definitiely go back

We enjoyed a truly memorable few days at the amazing villa. The entire group thoroughly enjoyed the rooms and facilities and the staff were especially helpful and attentive. I would recommend the villa to any large groups planning a trip to the beautiful Sri Lankan coast.
