Cypriots have a special knack of making visitors feel at home as soon as they step off the plane. That warm welcome, plus the unhurried pace of daily life, makes Cyprus an instant favorite. You may arrive as a visitor to Pissouri, you will no doubt leave as friends There is also a supermarket within walking distance of the villa. Although access to the villa does not require a car, we recommend one to explore the surrounding attractions, such as the two water parks, one in Paphos, one in Limassol. Other places to visit are Latchi harbour, the Troodos mountain area and Omodos. Omodos is -perhaps- one of the few villages that has kept its unadulterated old beauty and its absolutely Cypriot character, built at the slope of the mountain, is one of the most picturesque villages of Cyprus.

Location description from owner

The Limassol District

Paphos

Paphos is family friendly, set upon a large bay with a harbour it draws large tourist crowds in the summer months with its beaches, shops and restaurants. The atmosphere in Paphos is fun loving and friendly, with plenty of bars, pubs, discos, nightclubs. Kato Paphos is the old town by the harbour and has the famous Roman mosaics as well as the medieval castle and church of Ayia Kyriaki. On the outskirts of Paphos you can see many vineyards and banana tree plantations.

Polis

Polis is on the wide Chrysohou Bay that runs along the north-west of Cyprus, and is a must to visit. In the centre of the town you can enjoy very good food at reasonable prices. It has a number of nearby beaches that are quieter than beaches in the south of the island. A jewel in this area of the island is the Akamas National Park.

Latchi

Latchi, is a picturesque harbour adjacent to Polis. In the past it served as a small port and fishing harbour. The harbour has been extended and now houses the old fishing harbour and a facility for modern leisure craft. Many of the old stone warehouses have been converted into restaurants, fish taverns where you can relax by the moored boats whilst eating and drinking. Short cruises are available during the summer months.

Water Parks western Cyprus.

There are two water parks, the Fasouri Watermania (just west of Limassol) and the Aphrodite Water Park in Paphos.

Cedar Valley

A must for nature lovers, There are thousands of Cyprus Cedars in Cedar Valley. It's not the easiest of places to find, but for that reason you are almost guaranteed peace and quiet when you get there.

Omodos

Omodos is -perhaps- one of the few villages that has kept its unadulterated old beauty and its absolutely Cypriot character, built at the slope of the mountain, is one of the most picturesque villages of Cyprus.
Home handicraft flourishes in Omodos. The village's women, apart from the plentiful and hard work that they offer next to their husbands for the cultivation of the earth, are also occupied with handmade embroideries, making wonderful brocades, tablecloths, threaded quilts, and narrow-knit and Chantilly laces.

Pissouri

Welcome to Pissouri
Create the feeling of having discovered your own hidden gem.
Pissouri is a beautiful village on the south coast of Cyprus and is only a brief 30 minutes drive from Paphos (Pafos) airport. Its calm and tranquil location is little known by the average tourist, and perfect for those looking to relax and take it easy away from the crowds. This attractive village has retained its distinctive, traditional Cypriot character and it is the ideal place to discover the real culture that this wonderful island has to offer.
Originally a fishing village, Pissouri is also famed for its grapes. Vines cover the valleys and sun-soaked slopes leading down to the sea; lizards bask undisturbed on the sun-bleached rocks and butterflies flit between the typically Mediterranean vegetation of herbs, lemon, almond and olive groves.
Pissouri has two distinct communities – the sweeping arc of Pissouri bay (also known as Cape Aspro with its secluded sand and shale beach; and Pissouri village, just a short 3Km drive away, with its winding cobbled streets and typical red-roofed, whitewashed houses nestled in the hillside. In Pissouri village there are several shops, and many restaurants, bars and tavernas serving food and drink of exceptional quality. There are also two banks in Pissouri's central village square.
Spend lazy, sunkissed days swimming in the clear, sparkling azure sea and sunbathing on Pissouri beach. Sip a cold, refreshing Keo and watch the sunset over the bay in a beach bar then head into the village to a taverna to sample the local speciality mezze or delicious Kleftiko. In the high season, take an evening stroll to soak in the buzzing atmosphere and chance upon the lively street entertainment in the main square. Pissouri also boasts an amphitheatre where you can really soak in the Cypriot culture while watching traditional dances and or a play.
There is a friendly community atmosphere in Pissouri and locals are very welcoming to tourists.
