My husband bought this property as a holiday home for the family to use. Then his life changed when he met me again, his sweetheart from university! We can only get out to Cyprus once or twice a year so we decided to let it out rather than leave it empty for too long. We hope our guests will enjoy our villa's location as much as we do.

Our villa is on the edge of the Pine Bay development and near a traditional goat farm and the pine forest. You can hear the pleasant tinkle of goat bells at certain times of the day, which make you feel close to nature. Yet it is only a few minutes walk to the communal pool and tennis court, about fifteen minutes down to Pissouri village and less than twenty five minutes drive from Paphos airport – you would never know!

The area (pine forest) is just so relaxing and Pissouri village a pretty traditional village. The development has combination of visitors and residents (mainly British) who are very friendly and helpful so you feel you are getting a 'real' experience, not just staying in a holiday resort. There is a lot to see in a short distance: villages, vineyards, beaches, and an easy drive into the Troodos Mountains.

We enjoy the relaxing tempo, visiting beaches which don't get overcrowded, driving through the mountain area stopping at small villages and eating good, local dishes! It's always a pleasure to stroll into the village for a nice drink or mese in the village square or to go to one of the tavernas away from the square and be greeted like old friends by the proprietors! Pissouri village retains its traditional character with a pedestrian only central area. It has several family run tavernas and restaurants, a Greek Orthodox Church, a bakery, fruit and vegetable store and butchers, postal agency, banks, internet café and supermarkets. Just on outskirts of village, near the police station, petrol station and pharmacy is a well stocked supermarket.

In the summer the village holds a Cyprus night in the square every Wednesday enjoyed by the locals and tourists alike, making it a true Cypriot experience.

Pissouri Bay is just a 5 minute drive from the village. It has its own selection of tavernas, supermarkets and bars. Water sports are available and the beach boasts a “Blue Flag” status.

Secret Valley Golf Club is 15 minutes away, Aphrodite Hills 10 mins and Tsada Golf Course 20 minutes by car

The Limassol District

Cyprus has a Mediterranean climate plentiful in sunshine throughout the year. The summer months stretch from early May through to late October almost guaranteeing you a holiday of unbroken sunshine. Even through the winter months of December, January and February, the sun shines for on average 6 hours per day, although it can rain. Average temperatures range from 13C in January to maximum mean daily temperature of 36C in the height of summer.
Apart for the fabulous weather, there is much else to do; being an island, water sports feature strongly. Discover the magic of the underwater world by snorkelling or diving in the warm crystal clear seas. Windsurfing and sailing can be enjoyed all the year round, thanks to steady winds and calm predictable seas, while coastal cruising and deep-water fishing are also popular. Walking, cycling, golf, fishing and horse riding are some of the other activities available. Hire a car and explore some of the breath taking scenery that is abundant all over the island from costal areas, ancient forts, to pine forests and mountain terrain all in a short drive.Try the waterpark for thrills, or bungee jumping for an extreme sensation.
Feel the romance where Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty, once roamed. Visit the sea by the rocks known as Petra tou Romiou where she was believed to have risen from the waves, make a pilgrimage to her sanctuary at Kouklia, or see the grotto near Polis where she was supposed to have bathed.

Pissouri

Pine Bay Villas is set just outside Pissouri, an unspoiled village near the mythological birthplace of Aphrodite, just off the main highway from Limassol to Paphos, halfway between the two towns and less than 25 minutes from Paphos international airport.
The development is within the only remaining pine forest on the outskirts of Pissouri village and offers green views right down to the sea below and is ideally situated to explore coast, villages and mountains of friendly Cyprus.
Pissouri village retains its traditional character with a pedestrianised central area. It has several family run tavernas and restaurants, a Greek Orthodox Church, a good bakery and butchers, postal agency, banks, internet café and supermarkets.

“A modern comfortable villa close to a traditional Cypriot village”

Reviewed 26 Mar 2014

We are a family of 4 and have stayed at this lovely Villa for 2 years running and hope to return again this year. It is a detached split level bungalow with 2 bedrooms and a spacious living/dining/kitchen area. Patio doors lead out onto a large sun terrace and garden. The property is very well equipped and is on a private well maintained development with access to a communal pool and tennis court for residents only. The village of Pissouri is a short car ride or approx 15-20 min walk and has plenty of bars and restaurants and a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the evenings. The local supermarket is very well stocked and is a short drive down the hill. There is always plenty of room on the local beach which is approx 15 min drive with free parking.

We look forward to welcoming you to a third holiday at 2 Pine Bay! Thank you for spending time on this review.

“Convenient location between Paphos and Larnaka”

Reviewed 10 Feb 2014

The place has a number of "strategic" advantages. For us it was very important that it is conveniently located between Limassol and Paphos as the main purpose of our trip was to see as much of Cyprus as we could. It's a good base for trips to the mountains (UNESCO churches and monasteries) and to Paphos, Limassol and Larnaka. The way the cottage complex is built gives you the best of both world. On the one hand you live in a sort of resort, isolated from the outside with it's own demographics, on the other hand you are walking/(short driving) distance from the village, so that you can experience the local culture in it's full. Isolation is quite nominal though. I can't even remember if there is a gate. Once we woke up because of the goats who had lost their way and ended up in our backyard. The only thing to consider is that the beach is a 5-10min drive and it's not the best beach. It is stone. And it's usually a bit colder than the rest of the beaches. However, when Paphos and Limassol are just 30min away, it doesn't really matter. A car is the must have in Pissouri anyway. Good things: A nice grocery store is nearby (5min drive). Pissouri is a nice charming village with many restaurants.

We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and saw quite a lot of Cyprus it seems. Pissouri bay is very convenient but I agree that there are better beaches if you drive for 15 to 25 minutes from our villa. Kourion beach is sandy with a couple of beach restaurants and Avdimou even closer.

“Relaxing, fun, quiet, stylish holiday”

Reviewed 10 Feb 2014

I stayed for one week with friends and loved this place. It is part of a mature and smart development which includes a lovely pool area, children's playground and sociable lunch and dinner bar, all on-site and 5 minutes walk. The villa was pretty, clean and convenient. The kitchen and living area are bright and light and the outdoor patio wonderful for entertaining and sunbathing. The shower and bathroom are bright and fresh. The grounds are surrounded by gorgeous, bright flowers. Parking is on-site and convenient for dropping off the food shopping. The short walk into the local town, which is pretty and well-served by bars, restaurants, shops and banks, takes about 10-15 minutes. However, a car is recommended if you want to travel further to see the many historical sites of the Island. Cyprus has plenty to offer, whether you want a quiet and restful break or whether you prefer to explore. Either way, this villa is a perfect base for friends and families alike.

Thank you for taking the time to review our villa and we are glad you had a relaxing and fun time. This year the garden should be even more colourful, following the amount of new planting we did in October!
