From the owner

A new destination in Northern Thailand, two and one half hours from Chiang Mai or Sukothai. Punjen Hide-Away is located on the boundary of Wiang KoSai National park, in the forest and along the Sok mountain stream. Surrounded by both forest and village rice fields, it is the perfectly location to enjoy and learn about the Karen hill tribe village. The guides are all local villagers from the village, that give you a unique look into their way of life and thinking. The tour changes with the seasons, as village life changes with the seasons. Come and enjoy with them pony cart rides to the village, lunch in the forest cooking with bamboo and catching fish, local Thai massage and the beautiful country side, off the beaten track away from all the tourist. It is easy to visit from Bangkok, Chiang Mai or Sukothai by train, air con bus or private car. We cater to groups of no more than 12 persons. This is a place that the whole family can enjoy. All tours can be adapted to the needs of the group.

Why can't I call Dwaila (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Dwaila (the owner) a message.

If Dwaila (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
