Villa Talassa is one of a cluster of seven (built 2005) in a quiet cul-de-sac next to a plot with grass and trees. It is only 5 minutes drive to Coral Bay with its sandy beach, shops, restaurants and bars offering fun for all the family and a lively nightlife. The villa is 1 km from the old hillside village of Peyia which has tavernas, supermarkets, banks, and a pharmacy. You can buy fresh meat and fish and freshly baked bread, and there is a Deli (great for takeaways).

The villa is spacious and comfortable and furnished to a high standard. The ground floor consists of an open plan lounge with air-conditioning, an elegantly appointed dining area (seats six) and fully-equipped modern kitchen. French doors in the dining and living rooms lead respectively to the patio (sunbeds) and to the furnished terrace (table and chairs) overlooking the swimming pool.

Marble staircase leads to upstairs rooms, which are fully air-conditioned. The master bedroom has a double bed and a balcony, as well as en suite shower and toilet, and the second bedroom has two single beds (placed together) and balcony. Both balconies are accessed by French doors, which have mosquito nets. The third bedroom has two single beds. All the bedrooms have built-in wardrobes and aircon. There is a spacious family bathroom with bath, shower and toilet upstairs. There is also a downstairs toilet. There is parking space at the villa and free parking for another car outside.

A Toyota RAV 4 manual diesel car is included at no extra cost. It is fully insured on a comprehensive basis for drivers over 25 and under 70 with £250 excess. This is not a substitute for a hire car as may be provided by Hertz/Avis etc, but reliable and comfortable 5 seater which is ideal for trips to the beach, shopping as well as into Paphos and surrounding areas to see the many tourist attractions. But the guests have no obligations to use the car.

The Paphos District

Paphos, the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite, combines ancient history with all the amenities of a bustling cosmopolitan tourist resort. The pretty little harbour has retained its charm with tavernas serving fresh fish and tame pelicans parading along the waterfront. Further inland is the old town of Paphos, known to the locals as Ktima, very atmospheric with its narrow streets and covered market. The early tombs of the Kings, cut out of rock with grand Doric façades, are a leading attraction off the road going north from Paphos to Coral Bay, a popular resort with its broad sandy beach and clusters of shops and cafes. Within easy driving distance of the town you can discover simple agricultural villages and forested peaks offering spectacular views. Paphos is on UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage list.

Peyia

Threading through the banana plantations, a short drive along the coast and up from Paphos will bring you to the traditional hillside village of Peyia. One of the prettiest and least spoilt villages in the area, it overlooks Coral Bay and the Paphos coast. The village has charming little streets and alleyways, with interesting old houses set off by colourful flowers and citrus trees, and a beautiful old church. Peyia also has many lively tavernas but manages to preserve a friendly local atmosphere. There are good shops and supermarkets, banks, and a pharmacy. You can buy fresh meat and freshly baked bread in the village, as well as sweet and savoury pastries, and there is a Deli (great for takeaways). Just five minutes' drive away from Peyia is the famous Coral Bay resort with its sandy beach, offering fun for all the family, and a lively nightlife.

Peyia Town Hall is a very popular wedding venue. Villa Talassa hosted wedding guests on several occasions.

“Perfect break in Cyprus”

We booked a week in Peyia as I have stayed there previously & loved the village. The villa was perfect. Peaceful cul-de-sac, wonderful pool & a bonus is that the property walking distance to the village amenities. Kitchen stocked up with a variety of utensils for cooking, bedrooms with much-needed air conditioning. The car was a fantastic inclusion to the rental. Allowed us to discover neighbouring villages & do some exploring. Peiya is a must visit; everything you could ask for with many restaurants, reliable taxi service, wonderful bakery & 2 supermarkets. With a huge ex-pat community the village has retained it's Cypriot charm, which is the appeal for us. We will definitely check this property out on our next visit to Peiya, which will be some time soon I hope

Excellent location, quiet, no noise from neighbourhood but convenient for local amenities, supermarkets, restaurants etc. and local historical sites. Only a short drive to Paphos. The villa is well appointed with balconies off two of the bedrooms. The ouside space is excellent with plenty of seating and shade. The pool is very well maintained and the garden is kept in excellent order.

This villa was ideal for our family, had everything we needed in the villa. Local amenities were excellent including coral bay beach. We have 2 children 12 & 14 years and they loved the villa & location. Cars a must to get around. We are considering booking for next year. Tanya the owner was very helpful.

Villa Talassa was very comfortable and had everything that was needed to make an enjoyable holiday. The villa was spotless and all requirements for a baby and toddler were in place on arrival.The outside area was delightful and very safe. The pool was excellent and very safe for young children. It was easy to find the villa from the instructions given and just a short hop from Paphos airport. It was set in a very quiet road a stones throw from an excellent taverna where we were made to feel most welcome. Score 10/10 from us all.

We traveled from the Netherlands via Germany too Larnaca.We traveld bij car on perfect brand new highways to Peyia.The accomodation was easy to find ,and located in a quite surrounding. The house and garden and equipment was perfect. Only the best way of travelling from the house is by car. Thanks for a nice holiday

“Beautiful villa with private pool, plus pure Cyprus!”

The villa is of great size, the interior is modern and in very good condition. The location is far enough away from the main hotel and mass-tourist locations, it offers some privacy as the backyard is a beautiful garden with many blooming bushes. Important to mention is the pool, big enough to go swimming and well maintained by a professional service company. Peyia offers everything you need, supermarket, bakery, butcher, pharmacy and, for sure, some typical taverns. The location, Peyia, is an optimal starting point for trips to the historical sites or beaches. The booking procedure as well as potential support was handled professionally and reliable.
