Special interest holidays
The north of Cyprus is now open so you can drive over the border to the North of the island and have a lovely day out, perhaps around the exquisite harbour of Kyrenia surrounding the medieval castle, or the historical walled city of Famagusta - which are both approximately 2.5 hours away by car and are achievable as a day trip. They - together with many other sites of antiquity are really well worth a visit - details of how to get there are in the villa. For those who just enjoy a leisurely lunch and shopping Kyrenia is a pleasurable venue with affordable boutiques and uniquely Turkish shops. Whilst in Kyrenia St Hilarion castle and Bellapais Abbey are both well worth a visit - hotels over there are very affordable should you decide prolong your stay in the North . If you have not been to Cyprus before have a look at www.aroundcyprus.net and see what you could be missing
