DETAILS OF THE INTERIOR

Villa Alicia is accessed via a small set of steps (15) (gated) near the private parking area outside. An immediate sense of awe washes over you as you see the stone villa with private pool in front and the amazing mountain scenery. On entering the villa, the living area is dominated by the working corner stone fireplace and is equipped with Satellite TV** and a DVD player. DETAILS OF THE EXTERIOR

Outside Villa Alicia, the 8m x 4m private swimming pool is surrounded by a large sunbathing terrace fully equipped with sunbeds (6), umbrellas (3), a smart looking and effective BBQ, and a wooden table and chairs. A pool shower has been newly fitted for convenience.

The area is perfect for enjoying relaxed alfresco dining on those warm summer evenings. The well tended garden area is planted with young fruit trees and fragrant jasmine and honeysuckle climb the perimeter wall.

The elevated position above street level gives privacy and a lockable security gate gives peace of mind.

Winding up through the banana plantations after a short drive along the coast road from Paphos brings you to Peyia (Peigeia). Villa Alicia has a delightful position on the hillside in Peyia overlooking the sea at Coral Bay.

The village of Peyia is one of the most picturesque and popular villages in the Paphos area. Peyia is spread over a large area with the village centre having many good amenities including bars, restaurants, tavernas, shops and banks. Peyia is a typical Cypriot village. A beautiful ancient church forms the heart of the village while the narrow streets and alleyways are full of old and interesting houses adorned with colourful flowers and citrus trees. Peyia is still largely unspoilt with lively tavernas and friendly locals. You can also buy all your provisions including fresh meat and bread in the shops in Peyia.

Other things to do in the Peyia area include many watersports on the beach at Coral Bay, diving, Paphos Bird and Animal Park, horse riding, visiting the protected Akamas Peninsula and Lara Beach Nature Reserve (famous for turtles), hiking/walking, buggy safaris, 4 x 4 safaris, the Sea Caves and Agios Georgios area, sailing and many more.

Review submitted by Steve and Karen from UK - (Submitted: 24/05/2016)

''We had a wonderful time and found Villa Alicia to be a most peaceful/tranquil place. Very much a home from home and very well equipped -we very much enjoyed the pool and mountain views. The Villa is in an ideal location, we made full use of the various Golf Courses and everything Pathos has to offer. We have left positive comments in the visitors book and look forward to a return visit next year. Kind Regards. Steve and Karen Sharma''.

Location description from owner

The Paphos District

Cyprus has more to offer the visitor than any other Mediterranean island, a fascinating blend of landscape, climate, history and culture. There is a seemingly endless coastline of sandy coves and beaches washed gently by crystal clear blue waters.

Birthplace of Aphrodite and in Roman times the capital of Cyprus, Paphos is one of the most beautiful and ancient towns of Cyprus and is situated on the southwest coast. Sheltered from the north by the Troodos Mountains, it has the healthiest climate in the Mediterranean. Paphos Harbour with its ancient castle, marine and water sports centres, is lined with colourful restaurants serving fresh fish and marine delicacies. Nearby are archaeological sites, rich with antiquities, providing an interest away from the usual - in fact UNESCO has included Paphos on its World Cultural Heritage List.

There are no private beaches on the island and Cyprus boasts dozens of European Blue Flag awards. The secluded sandy beaches are perfect for snorkelling and every watersport you can imagine.

If you want excitement then you may want to visit one of three world class water parks within easy reach that rival any in the world. Or, if you want something more relaxing there are 4 golf courses within 30 minutes drive.

Eating out in Cyprus is not only extremely cheap but also its virtually impossible to eat badly. A lot of the locals and tourists too, dont bother cooking at home they just eat out. You can get full English breakfasts for around 5 euros and even have a 20 to 30 course meal, the famous Cyprus Meze for around 15 euros.

There truly is just too much of Cyprus to write about here. The best thing is to just make the effort to visit and we guarantee you will have the holiday of a lifetime. If you want any further information at all please use the e-mail facility and we will get back to you straight away.

Peyia is still largely unspoilt with lively tavernas and friendly locals. You can also buy all your provisions including fresh meat and bread in the shops in Peyia. The early morning aroma of freshly baked bread, sweet and savoury local pastries and cakes coming from the Peyia bakery is almost too much to resist!

From Peyia the attractions in Paphos and renowned Paphos Aphrodite Water Park are also easily accessible, as are numerous archaeological ruins in Paphos such as the Tombs of the Kings and Paphos Archaeological Park.
