Japonica is surprisingly large and light with an open plan kitchen, dining and living area with a larger than normal balcony offering great views across parts of Peyia and down to Coral Bay. The whole living area is welcoming and beautifully furnished. The kitchen / dining area is spacious, fully equipped with modern appliances and a ceiling fan. The lounge is airy and comfortably furnished with two sofas, one of which is a sofa bed, and includes a TV, DVD and both an air conditioning unit and ceiling fan. The large bedroom features a king size bed, bedside cupboards, wardrobe, mirror with shelf and air-conditioning unit. The bathroom is a good size with bath and overhead shower, wash basin, shaver point and WC. The balcony is furnished with patio table with 4 chairs, parasol and a barbeque to allow outdoor eating or a place to just sit and watch the evening sunsets.
|Further details outdoors|
The apartment has private underground parking, secure access and integral main door release system from within the apartment. The complex itself is very well designed to blend in with its surroundings with a lovely swimming pool (there is no shallow end) and bathing areas that gets the sun all day. Sun loungers and parasols are available to use around the pool area, please note we do not provide pool/beach towels. The walk to the shops and facilities in Peyia village is up hill so people with restricted mobility may find this unsuitable.
The Paphos District
Peyia is situated about a 15-20 minute drive from the large town of Paphos which has a historic and picturesque harbour with its ancient fort surrounded with restaurants and bars and very close to the mosaics, amphitheatre and lighthouse whilst on the road from Paphos to Coral Bay you can visit the Tomb of the Kings.
The town has two parts with the old town situated around the harbour area whilst a short bus ride away is the new town with a traditional indoor market, plenty of local shops alongside national and even international names.
If you want something different from the beach try the Paphos Water Park just along the coast road towards the airport.
For something different to do visit the Paphos Bird Park which, despite its name, is actually a zoo with a wide range of both birds and animals.
Travelling north of Peyia you can visit the towns of Polis and Latchi. Polis is a traditional town close to the beach whilst Latchi has a recently modernised harbour and is famous for its fish restaurants. Close by is the Baths of Aphrodite.
If you wish to travel further afield and see more of Cyprus then the beautiful Kykko Monastry and the Troodos Mountains, where you could ski in the winter, are well worth the drive.
Peyia is on the edge of the Akamas National Park with its many nature trails, outstanding natural scenery and the famous Lara Bay where turtles come ashore to lay their eggs.
In Peyia village there are a variety of restaurants and bars to suit all tastes, 3 supermarkets, Medical Centre, chemist, ATM facilities, taxis, butcher and a bakery with delicious cakes and pastries. At the heart of the village there is a beautiful church located in a small square and gardens where all the locals gather on special holidays, festivals and you may even catch a traditional Cypriot wedding.
On the road from Peyia to Coral Bay there is a further Medical Centre and chemist along with a Post Office and another ATM. There are plenty more restaurants, bars, supermarkets and a petrol station.
Nearby is the sandy beach of Coral Bay with an array of water sports available and for the less sporty there are plenty of sun loungers and parasols to hire. Coral Bay also has a wide variety of restaurants, bars, nightlife and shopping as well as other leisure activities like go-karting and horse riding.

Just got back from the Japonica apartments. They were lovely, really clean and had everything that you could ask for including cool bags, ice boxes (for drinks at the beach!), an inflatable, towels etc. Having a balcony that got the sun all evening really made it for us, we are big fans of bbq's and have found it really difficult in the past to get a 1 bed apt with a bbq so this was a real find. The pool was also really nice and the beach was about a 5 min drive and was great, very shallow for quite some length so great if you have kids. I'd definitely recommend the apartment. The village itself was quite pretty but there were probably too many English people for our liking so we tended to spend our time in the area where the beach was or having a bbq on the balcony :)

"Lovely apartment with quiet shared swimming pool and close to the beach"
We spent most of our time in or around the quiet swimming pool, or at Coral Bay beach (10 mins drive). The apartment is modern, immaculate, well cared for and has a balcony that was great for barbeques. With one bedroom the apartment would be perfect for two - with four of us it was OK, depending on the willingness of children to share a sofa bed. The shared pool doesn't have a shallow end, so ideally children should be able to swim (although our 5 year old was happy floating in an inflatable tyre). The car parking space is small and takes practice to reverse into. Our first real overseas holiday as a family, the kids loved it, are still talking about it and want to go back.

"Fabulous apartment in a brilliant part of Cyprus"
We stayed at this apartment for out end of summer chill out break and couldnt have asked for a better place. Local facilities are within a walk or short taxi/bus ride. We found the apartment immaculate and it has all the necessary mod cons to make our stay one of the best we have had in years. Loads of opportunity to explore the lovely coast line and the near by towns, lots of good restaurents and bars nearby too. We intend to go back this year and probably for several more to come! Thanks for a wonderful relaxing place to spend our holiday.
