The old town of Paphos offers Roman villas; Byzantine churches and Crusader castles. Kato Paphos is home to the old harbour, the Byzantine Castle, Tombs of the king, St Pauls Pillar to mention a few of the historical attractions.
If archaeology is not your thing why not try some of the other activities available, maybe take a drive to the Akamas peninsular, see the turtles at Lara Beach. Perhaps wine tasting at one of the local wineries is more up your street! For those sporty types amongst you there is an abundance of activities such as, golf, horse riding, water sports or enjoy a day out at the Aphrodite Waterpark. Paphos has it all!
Apartment location and things to do nearby: The apartment is located in lower Peyia (Pegia) village with unobstructed sea views and within walking distance to both the village and to Coral Bays blue flag Mediterranean beaches. Situated in a quiet street the apartment provides the relaxed atmosphere of a rural retreat with all of the amenities you would expect on your doorstep. Both Peyia and Coral Bay have a wide range of excellent supermarkets, shops, bars and restaurants, while Paphos (Pafos) is only a short drive away approx 10 min. The Akamas Penisula, which is an outstanding area of natural beauty, is only a short drive away approx 10 min and caters for Fishing, Climbing, Cycling, Mountain Biking, Horse Riding, Off-Roading. etc.. There is also a variety of cultural and historical locations within a very short distance of the apartment, making this an ideal base. Local amenities: golf, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, tennis, scuba diving, snorkelling, skiing historic sites, museum, zoo, water park, karting.
Peyia (Pegia) Village: The beautiful village of Peyia with its traditional taverns and coffee shops is only a 2 minute drive or 15 min walk away. It is a great place to while away a relaxing lunchtime with a plateful of Meze and a cold bottle of Keo beer. It also boasts excellent restaurants as well as supermarkets, banks, pharmacy, bakery, other shops and a weekly market for fresh fruit, vegetables and salad . In nearby Coral Bay there is an even greater selection of shops, bars and restaurants.
If you prefer your afternoons to be a little more active you'll find a number of local companies offering every white-knuckled pursuit from go-karting to paragliding, otherwise it's a short drive to the many fantastic sandy beaches in this area including the blue flag beach at Coral Bay.

Akamas Peninsula -
The Akamas Peninsula is within 15 mins drive and is an area of outstanding natural beauty - deep gorges, a wild landscape, wide sandy bays (including Lara Bay Home to the Green Turtle, one of the few places in the Mediterranean where this turtle returns to breed). It is also an area of great biodiversity and ecological significance. Home to 530 plant species, a third of the total for Cyprus, 126 of which are endemic to Cyprus. An unspoilt wild place thanks to its inaccessibility. Great for walking and nature lovers!
Paphos is a short drive away with its Picturesque harbour and fort.
Cyprus is a wonderful island of contrasts. Where else could you ski in the morning and then be sunning yourself by the pool or on the beach in the afternoon? The snows on Mount Olympus are a fabulous way of spending a winter morning in the Ski Cyprus arena and are less that an hours drive away.
There are various golf courses within a short drive of the apartment. Details of the three most popular are included below:
Minthis Hills Golf Club -
Founded in 1994 on the hills of Tsada, set on the grounds of 12th century monastery, in a verdant valley. Created by Donald Steel and renovated by Mackenzie + Ebert in 2006/07, it plays to a par 71 and measures 5843 meters. Situated on the outskirts of Pafos, the altitude of 550 meters above sea level ensures cool breezes during the summer months.
Secret Valley Golf Club -
The Secret Valley Golf Course, is a highly prestigious golf course located by the renowned area of 'Petra tou Romiou', the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite, the Goddess of love. It is set in a scenic valley surrounded by mature trees and beautiful natural rock formations. Consistently appearing as the preferred course amongst the island's visiting players in terms of sheer playability and enjoyment.
Aphrodite Hills Golf -
The first ever leisure and golf development of its kind in Cyprus, Aphrodite Hills Resort is home to a magnificent 18-hole championship golf course, spreading over 6,299 metres and overlooking the site where Aphrodite, the goddess of love, is said to have emerged from the sea. The golf course also has a dedicated 3-hole Golf Academy and magnificent clubhouse.
There is so much to see and do in the area including:
Kato Paphos harbour castle.

"Fabulous Stay at Peyia Paradise!"
Thank you for a wonderful stay in your apartment. Everything was spotless, including the grounds and the view from the balcony at any time of day was fantastic. The location also is perfect – only a few minutes from the village where there were good tavernas and a well stocked supermarket. We could walk to Coral Bay for a coffee in about 25 minutes, and a little further on to the Sea Caves. Hope that we can rent again in the future.

"Relaxing and very accessible"
Great location and great apartment. When we arrived the apartment was spotless and we found we had everything that we needed within the kitchen as we ended up eating in most evenings. There were lots of little restaurants and tavernas where we would go for lunch and would definitely recommend having a traditional Meze when you are here - delicious! We decided not to hire a car but found we were able to get to everywhere we needed such as Peyia Village, Coral Bay and Paphos really easily on the bus. We also done a couple of day trips too which were really enjoyable. The rest of the time we just spent relaxing by the pool and taking in the views over Coral Bay

"Peyia Paradise Perfection!"
Peyia Paradise Perfection! - Just a quick note to send on our appreciations for contributing to one of the best holidays we have ever had! Myself and 3 friends recently spent a week in the apartment and found it to be impeccably clean, well-maintained and equipped with everything we could possibly need (incl a hairdryer to the delight of my girlfriend!). Whether it be on the apartment taking in the fantastic views of the Mediterranean Sea whilst sipping a cool Keo beer or lazing by the sun-drenched pool, it certainly lived up to the Peyia Paradise name!! Peyia town is located just a short walk from the apartment and is the ideal place for a relaxing meal followed by few drinks to leisurely chill out! A short drive/taxi ride away is the towns of Paphos & Coral Bay which cater for every taste with restaurants ranging from traditional home-made meals to Italian, Mexican, Japanese and of course local Cypriot & Greek eateries to ensure no-one’s pallet is left disappointed! With 3 course meals starting from 12euro!! Meanwhile during the day having partaken in quad bike safari rides, parasailing, banana boating, jet skiing, Fly Fish Water Ride (Like Banana Boat only it flies too…not for the faint-hearted) go-karting, the amazing Water Park and wait for it....Crazy Golf...this holiday really had it all...the only downside of the whole trip was....we weren't there long enough!! Thanks again and hopefully we’ll be back soon as a week just wasn’t long enough!!

"Excellent two bedroom apartment with shared swimming pool, great views and convenient to excellent restaurants"
Thanks again for our very enjoyable and relaxing stay in your beautiful apartment, it really was like a home from home! The location was perfect for us with local taverns and restaurants within walking distance and the beautiful beaches of Coral Bay very close by also. The views over Coral Bay and the sea are absolutely fantastic - the perfect way to end the day with a nice bottle of wine! We will definitely be back!

"Fantastic stay! Highly recommend this place"
We enjoyed two great weeks in August in Peyia Paradise. I loved the heat and my husband really appreciated the air-con! The apartment was really clean and beautifully furnished, extremely well-equipped. It felt very spacious and I think my favourite bit was sitting on the balcony enjoying the view - early morning was peaceful, lunchtime there was just enough shade and evening was a good way to wind down with a glass of wine. The pool was a very good size with plenty of room to play and swim lengths, mostly not many people in it either. Our best days out were at the Paphos Aphrodite water park - most fun I've had in a long time.
