There is also a pharmacy and a newly opened medical centre on the main street of the lower part of the village.
The village gets its income from a mixture of tourism and agriculture so don't be surprised if you see goats wandering near the Villa and along the hills and stopping to nibble on the carob trees! Listen out for the bell worn by the Lead goat!
The area is also full of banana plantations especially towards St Georges. In the area also there are cultivated various types of vegetables including potatoes, melons, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers and artichokes. "An excellent villa in a great location"
This really is a very high standard villa. I stayed here with my girlfriend and our 3 children for 2 weeks. As previously mentioned, the villa owners look after all those little extras that help. Its nice to have some essentials in the fridge when you arrive late and as helpful to have beach towels provided. The villa itself it beautiful, with amazing views over Peyia and Paphos. In this villa you will find that you are situated out of the way enough to be in a quiet peaceful area. However, the small town of Peyia is literally a couple of minutes away in a the car and you can get to Coral Bay Beach in 10 minutes. There are many good restaurants nearby. In summary, we cannot recommend this highly enough. Overall, we cannot recommend highly enough.
Thank you for your feedback - we are pleased that you loved our villa and had a fantastic holiday and we hope you will come again!

"Excellent views in quiet location"
Previous good reviews had made me a little sceptical , but they are all accurate. Very well equiped and immaculate. Just for a change with a rental property plenty of towels including beach towels all like new. As mentioned previously the water cooler in the kitchen is a life saver in the heat. The pool is large with steps which is very useful with young children. From here the views to Peyia and on to Paphos are brilliant. Unfortunately this villa does not have a stong kerb appeal which is reflected in the photos,do not be put off by this.
Thanks for your review - we are glad you enjoyed your holiday with us and hope to see you all again next year! This winter we will be doing further improvements to Anchor villa to maintain our high standards and will be adding new garden furniture. regards Eileen and Phil

"A Star Brilliant, Fantastic Villa"
Myself, husband and 14 year old daughter stayed at Anchor Villa for 2 weeks during August 2013, we had not been to Cyprus before and were extremely concerned as to whether it would all be OK due to bad experiences in the past. We need not of worried, Eileen rang me to answer all my questions rather than send emails back and forwards, the directions from the airport were spot on, and the Villa, was fabulous. The pool is larger than most of the villa pools around (even had a couple of inflatables), the villa inside was clean and spacious, the best thing was that all the little extras were supplied from loo rolls to salt and pepper. I have stayed at villas before where none of this was supplied and probably binned from the last residents but certainly not here and although not expensive to buy still frustrating to have to go and buy. Loads of towels were supplied including the beach ones as promised, it truly is exactly what the photos show it to be. There is a 19lt water cooler in the kitchen which is just fantastic. Lots of information is supplied at the villa about just about everything. Its a five min drive to Coral Bay and I think its more like a 20 - 25 min walk to the village pubs/restaurants which we really enjoyed doing most evenings. Everyone is friendly in the village and we enjoyed everywhere we went and did not have a bad meal. We bought puddings from the local bakery most days and highly recommend a trip there to everyone. Although we had a very quiet holiday as far as activities but I think there is something for everyone and the villa is suitable for just about any age group. My husband and daughter went Kayaking and had an amazing time. Tomb of the Kings was great but in our opinion only really suitable for a 2 to 3 hours and make sure you take a drink. Tip: Take some DVD's for the evenings if your staying in. The Hardy's are super lovely and helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. We certainly wont be using anyone else when we book again. I just cant praise the villa or the Hardy's enough.
