The Paphos District
Western Cyprus has an enviable all year round climate, with warm sunshine 12 months of the year.
January and February are traditionally the wet and rainy months, with June through to late October being the hottest where temperatures can easily soar over 100 degrees at midday.
During the dry months go off-road to Adonnis falls, or up to the Trodoos mountains, how about taking part in an excavation in and around the tomb of the kings, watch how history is unfolding as they dig out the centuries.
All year round and during the four seasons there are places of cultural and historic interest, of course Aphrodite the goddess of love has her own very special "rock" to remember her by, so why not consider getting married on our island of love!!
Romance is never far away here, with quiet rugged coves and gently sweeping beaches to watch the stunning blood red sunsets that can view enjoyed form almost every coastal point.
If less romantic pursuits is what your looking for how about a round or golf, the area boats 3 challenging golf courses, all offering a different vantage point of the district, the Secret valley as it's name suggests, is tucked away in a green valley, and Aphrodite hills hosting many international tournaments each year, with enviable views across the the "rock" and azure seas beyond, a very special place!!
A visit to Paphos harbour is a must for people and wedding watching, sit and sip a cocktail while you watch the world walk by or take one of the different boat trips on offer.
Peyia's elevated position offers great views out across the bays, you can sit at Sophies sunset bar or Nero's glassed fronted open bar's and take in the breathtaking views day and night, the landscape inclines upwards from the two beaches of Coral and Corallia bay and pavements can be haphazard so watch your step, but don't be afraid to explore, the local sea caves can be calm or raging and exhilarating to watch.
A little further along you'll discover the tiny fishing port of Argious Georgias, where the waters are ideal for snorkelling with no motorised sports making it a real haven for peace and quiet.
Drive further and you'll be on the Ackamantas peninsula where in the Autumn the beaches at Lara are awash with Turtles laying their eggs, this is a highly protected area and respect is expected but a night time watch is a must.
Closer to home, is Coral bay "strip" only a 2 minute drive from our apartment, it has restaurants, bars, night spots, taverna's to suit every taste and pocket.

"Very comfortable and attractively furnished apartment"
I stayed at this apartment with my partner and son (aged 14) and found it to be very comfortable and convenient. Its just a few minutes drive from either Coral Bay or Peyia (walkable really), yet is far enough away to be peaceful and relaxing. The place is very nicely furnished and decorated with little extras like a collection of DVDs and Cds to suit most tastes. the double bedroom was very comfortable and there were two bed settees to choose from in the front room. A spacious balcony was ideal for that pre dinner drink and breakfast. All in all a very good place to rent for a budget trip to Cyprus.

We stayed here for a family wedding in August 2012 and weren't dissapointed! There was 4 in our apartment staying in the gold and red apartments and from the original enquiry right through to the return home we found Julie, the owner, very approachable and she was quick to answer any questions we had and we did have many. Others in the wedding party were jealous of our apartments due to the lived in homely feel they offer from the excellent books, cds, dvds and various games to entertain on any night you choose to stay in to the great air conditioning (which is definitely needed in August one day reached 50c!). All appliances were easy to use and probably the 2 best features are the terraces out front which are ideal for meals and drinks and finally the gorgeous pool which is literally a couple of steps out of the back door and although this is communial it was very quiet throughout the fortnight we were there and it felt like our very own pool which we used every day. Would definitely recommend these apartments they are reasonably priced in a good location and very clean and well looked after added to that the brilliantly helpful and professional Julie, we will be visiting again!
We are always happy to help our guests, your enjoyment and feeling that you have had excellent value for money is our prime aim. Were glad you all had both. We look forward to seeing you again. Julie & Martyn

"Excellently equipped and spacious apartment for a relaxing holiday."
The ground floor apartment was very spacious and excellently equipped with all that you could need for a relaxing holiday. Even down to beach towels and sun loungers for pool-side use. On occasions we had the pool to ourselves, which was bliss. We had arranged car hire for our 2nd week through Julie, with the help of Yvonne, but would highly recommend car-hire for the duration of holiday, as there is so much to see and do.Julie, being aware of the horrendous flight times, was very accommodating with arrival and departure times at the apartment. Which we greatly appreciated. Also, Yvonne and Nigel, who look after the pool and apartments for Julie were most helpful too. Yvonne for shopping for items requested for our arrival, and Nigel for providing assistance with 1 of the 2 minor problems we had during our stay. The 2nd problem being "i didn't want to go home". I have already recommended the apartments to friends and colleagues, and look forward to booking again in the future. Many thanks and kind regards from the Welling family for a lovely, relaxing holiday.
We are always pleased when we have helped to make your holiday and really great experience.
