Location description from owner

The Paphos District

With an all year round Mediterranean climate Paphos is a very popular destination for visitors from the UK, Germany and Scandinavia looking for a cosmopolitan holiday resort. Paphos is the most established holiday resort in Southern Cyprus and its attractions include its ancient mosaic floors, historical sites, a beautiful old harbour, and its modern hotels and restaurants, situated along the harbour front promenade.

Other sights include the archaeological museum, the Byzantine castle of Paphos, the Tombs of the Kings, St. Paula's Pillar and the Temple of Aphrodite (the goddess of love and beauty).

The climate of Cyprus makes the summer a popular time for tourism in Paphos, when temperatures are mid 30 degrees Celsius every day. However the cooler winter months also attract keen walkers, mountain biking enthusiasts and skiers to the Troodos Mountains and Akamas peninsular areas.

Paphos offers great shopping in the tourist beach promenade, while the old town area of Kato Paphos has a wonderful old covered market area to browse around. In addition to the wonderful choice of beaches and year round sunshine Paphos offers families a fantastic choice of modern or traditional restaurants, and many things to do and see, from water parks, to go carting, Golf to Luxury spas there is something for all ages to enjoy.

Peyia

Peyia is a very popular and charming village situated on a gently sloping hillside overlooking Coral Bay. It is very traditional in look and feel with little winding streets and traditional stone houses with an old village church and shops at the centre.

It also offers a good selection of traditional tavernas where you can try the local fish or meat meze, or you can try Sophie’s restaurant offers international and very popular buffet evenings throughout the week.

The village is very popular for Weddings so is ideal for wedding guests to enjoy a relaxed holiday.

There is a well-equipped gymnasium and a football stadia in Peyia.

A 5 minute drive (or 30 minute walk) will take you to the lovely blue flag beaches of Coral and Corallia bays with on-beach bars & cafes

For golfers there are 3 superb golf courses at Tsada (approx 30 mins), Secret Valley and Aphrodite Hills (approx 40 mins), with a new driving range within 15 minutes on the Coral Bay to Paphos road.

Winter skiing & snowboarding facilities are available from December to March in the Troodos mountains (at Mount Olympus 6,400 ft) just over an hour's drive from Peyia.

“Awesome!”

Reviewed 5 Oct 2016

A lovely well equipped and very clean villa. Linda who looks after it was very helpful and friendly. The pool was lovely and well used. A very quiet part of Peyia but within walking distance of resturants and bars. Would definately stay here again.

Hi Maria, Thank you for your positive review. I'm pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Villa Corelia and would consider staying here again. I will pass on your kind comments to Linda. Best regards, Derek

“A great home from home”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2016

This is a beautiful and comfortable villa in lower Peyia. Very easy to get to Coral Bay and surrounding area if you have transport but a bit too far and too hot to walk in August. You really need a car if you want to make the best of your stay. I recommend this property and the owner in particular was very helpful and informative. I would return on future visits to Cyprus.

Thank you Tracey for your kind and positive review, I will look forward to welcoming you and your family to Villa Corelia again should you visit Peyia for future holidays. Best wishes, Derek Mattimoe

“A fantastic holiday”

Reviewed 30 Jun 2012

I spent a week in villa corelia in June 2012 with my partner, a couple I am friends with and there two children and had an absolutely fantastic time. The villa was very clean and the private pool was great for a swim or even just cooling down during the midday sun. The owner provided a lot of information on the local area as well as a detailed description of how to get to the villa. There is plenty to do in the local area such as paphos zoo which was great for the children and the water sports at coral bay beach with very reasonable prices. There was loads of choice for places to eat and drink in coral bay which is only 5 minutes drive from the villa and everywhere we went to eat was exceptionally nice. Some places even served a full English breakfast for just 2 euros. I would certainly go to the villa again and would recommend it to others.
