Our 3 x Bedroom villa built in 2006, is located on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Peyia. The ground floor consist s of a fully fitted kitchen, downstairs cloakroom and open plan living/dining area, opening out onto a large veranda. The first floor consists of 3 x Bedrooms ( 1 x Double & 2 x Twins) and family sized bathroom. The two front bedrooms open out onto a private balcony which presents stunning views of the coast line, the third bedroom has its own private balcony. The villa is fully airconditioned throughout. Our excellent villa is also equipped with a private pool, which will definitely keep the children amused!. A car is reccommended. It is only a five min walk into the village of Peyia, which offers a fine selection of Supermarkets,Tavernas, Shops and Banks.The beautiful beaches at Coral Bay are only a 10 min drive, and the historic port of Paphos is only a 20 min drive away. Paphos International Airport is approx 30 Mins drive. If golf is your hobby, then their is a choice of three championship golf courses within 45 mins drive from the villa. If skiing is you thing, then you can hit the slopes in the Troodos Mountains within an hours drive,( if you visit these between Jan/March).SoIn theory, one could be skiing in the morning and swimming in the sea in the sunny afternoon!Bayvista Villa SummaryHaving its own private pool, sunbathing terrace and landscaped gardens, our villa is ideal for the discerning traveller looking for that little bit extra from their vacation.

The Paphos District

Coral BayOne of the best sandy beaches of the region, it is located in Pegeia – Coral Bay, easily reached by car, motorbike, bicycle and bus. Water sports, sun bed and umbrella hire are available on site. There are accommodation facilities nearby, while lifeguards are on duty with lifesaving equipment between 1:00 to 17:30 hours during the swimming season.Paphos Municipal BathsA favourite with the locals, Municipal Baths Beach is a sandy beach with very few rocks. It is located in the heart of the tourist area of Kato Paphos, just a few meters off Poseidonos Avenue and 300 metres from Paphos Castle. Access to the beach is easy and there are signs with directions showing the way to the facilities. Water sports, sun bed and umbrella hire are available on site from April 15th to October 31st. Lifeguards are on duty with lifesaving equipment from 11:00 to 17:30 hours during the same period. There are restaurants and accommodation facilities nearby.Pafos offers many ways for you to indulge yourself. So, if shopping is your idea for a fun day out the shopping areas and shopping centres have anything from local handicrafts to designer labels.Shopping Hours: Shops are closed Wednesday after 1400 as well as all day Sunday.Otherwise opening hours are 0800-1300 and 1600-1930 (summer, or until 1900 spring and autumn); 0800-1300 and 1430-1800 (winter).On Fridays, shops are generally open until 2000/2030.Shops at the tourist area mainly are open till late night seven days a week.Cypriot purchases include handmade lace, woven curtains and tablecloths, silks, basketwork, pottery, silverware and leather goods. Jewelry is an art which has been practiced on the island since the Mycenean period; craftspeople working in contemporary and traditional styles produce some very fine pieces. Silver spoons and forks are a traditional symbol of Cypriot hospitality. The local wines and brandy also make good purchases. Imported goods sell at competitive prices, including cameras, perfume, porcelain and crystal.Main shopping areas for designer labels is the Nikodemou Mylona street at the main town as well as a few shopping centres at the Ap. Nibble on a nut or even better, pass the time with a handful of sunflower seeds or passatempo, as the Cypriots call them. Just sniff Cyprus and you could become intoxicated by the tang of fresh lemons and the delicate citrus blossom, the wholesome smell of freshly baked bread or fermenting grapes from the wine harvest.Cypriots, as you will soon discover, are a naturally hospitable people and generous to the extreme, in a way that is so much part of the Mediterranean.

Peyia Village

Undeniably, Pegeia is a remarkable part of Cyprus. Specifically, this is a new municipality of Paphos since it was declared as a municipality in 1994. Noteworthy is the fact that Pegeia is recognized as one of the largest municipalities in the area of Cyprus, as the region covers 4.552 hectares. The administrative area of Pegeia reaches north to the Gulf of Lara and south to the manor of Potimon and the Mavrokolymbos dam.Regarding the geographical location of Pegeia, this is quite favorable. Only 15 km away from the center of Paphos and close to the beautiful Akamas, is a report point not only for the locals but for foreign residents as well. The fact that the village is rooted in the slopes of a mountain and built at an altitude of 200 meters, allows the enviable panoramic views both to the west coast of the island and toward the center of Paphos. Moreover, the combination of mountain and sea and the mild climate of the region is unparalleled advantage.On the one hand, there is the deep blue sea that surrounds the beautiful rugged coastline, the exotic green bananas, colorful citrus fruit, vineyards and almond trees, the wild beauty of carob and olive trees, and on the other hand, raises the forest with shady pines, cypresses and shrubs. In the area also there are cultivated various types of vegetables that include mostly potatoes, melons, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers and artichokes. The small national forest Meleti, as well as much of the national forest of Pegeia falls within the administrative boundaries of the village. Thus, the unique touches of nature, give the residents an inexhaustible source of vitality and serenity.Main occupation of the residents is first and foremost tourism and then, agriculture and livestock. The area of banana plantations in the region in 1985 amounted to 119 hectares and it was not only the largest of Paphos area but also in the whole of Cyprus. Apart from agriculture livestock and especially goats was developed greatly. In 1985, 2.073 goats, 2.832 sheep, 60 pigs and chickens 1.690 fed. However, today there is greater emphasis on tourism and services. Pegeia, because of the beautiful green landscape, amazing beaches and remarkable archaeological sites, began in recent years to develop tourism. The focus of tourism is the area of Coral Bay.No doubt, the arrival of tourists, who come mainly from Great Britain, has given impetus to a multitude of restaurants, traditional taverns, leisure centers, hotels, resorts, villas, etc. that promise visitors, foreign and local, a comfortable stay in the enchanting area. On the other hand, residential development continues apace whereas the tourism industry and the service sector rally their forces with main goal the further improving of services quality.Pegeia can be described as a cosmopolitan area since the people who were not born in Pegeia outweigh those who are born in the township. The climax of the patchwork of local and foreign element is the participation of EU member in the municipal council, after the municipal elections of 2006, when a foreign resident was elected for the first time in Cyprus.
