Description

If you are looking for peace, relaxation and a 'get away from it all' holiday or short break, our holiday home at Pevensey Bay, near Eastbourne, Sussex, is the place for you. Our light and bright holiday home enjoys panoramic and uninterrupted views of the sea from the open plan kitchen diner and sitting room. A moment's walk from the garden gate is the pebble beach which will take you down to the water's edge. Walk along the sand at low tide, dig sandcastles with the family, swim in the sea or use our two kayaks, fish off the beach or simply sit in the sun. Unwind to the gentle sound of the waves breaking and enjoy the tranquility. At night time, watch the moon glistening on the sea and view the star studded skies. Use our holiday home as a base for walking across the Seven Sisters and visiting Beachy Head, or cycling through the Sussex countryside. Explore the Sovereign Harbour Marina and surrounding seaside towns and villages and discover excellent food in the many pubs and country restaurants. Brighton, with its excellent Lanes for shopping, wide selection of restaurants and entertainment is a short drive along the coast. Our holiday home will accomodate holiday makers of all ages and interests. Sleeping up to eight persons, a two family holiday could easily be enjoyed, or alternatively for couples wanting to holiday or share a short break together. We also welcome weekend breaks for groups of friends wanting to celebrate birthdays together.

“Just lovey”

Great view, great location, clean and so well equipped. We will be back, the kids loved being able to run onto the beach and we all loved to relax in this lovely home. Thank you

“Chill out heaven”

Just spent a wonderful 4 days at The Beach House on one of the hottest weeks of the year and it couldn't have been nicer. Love the fact that you're right on the beach so not too far to go to cool off in hot weather. We had lots of space as there were just the two of us but still plenty of room for 8. Kitchen was very well stocked with all the utensils and equipment you could possibly need for a self catering holiday. Beds were very comfy as were the sofas and chairs. It was so relaxing that we didn't really want to go exploring the area too much so hoping it won't be too long before I can visit again. Many thanks Pip, Steve and family for the perfect location for a holiday.

We rented the bungalow for a family Christmas get-together. Pip and Steve had decorated it beautifully and the Christmas tree and other lights were a really thoughtful addition. It's right on the beach and we were treated to some spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Lots of little touches....the cake on arrival was welcome! We walked along the beach to the local pub and there was a playground close by too. It was just perfect for us - 4 adults and 4 grandchildren. Thank you Pip and Steve - we would love to visit again.

We spent 3 nights at the Beach House in September. Information for arrival from the owner was informative and helpful. It was easy to find. The only glitch we had was struggling with the lock to get the key, but we eventually figured it out! The property was very clean and welcoming. There was a cake, tea, milk and cookies to greet us. It is an open plan living area with windows across the whole front to give a lovely view of the beach (mostly pebble with some sand, we were recommended to wear shoes even on the sand as there are some creatures that can sting you) and sea, via the garden. Because of the windows the area is very light and airy, and the seating is plentiful and comfortable (although there were only 2 of us!). The three bedrooms were bright too and beds were comfortable to sleep in. Kitchen is amazingly equipped with everything you could want. The garden is very pleasant to sit out in. There are other amenities such as kayaks etc which we did not use. The surrounding area is full of interesting places to visit and so many things to do, Hasting Castle in 15 minutes away and there are many other historic sites locally. Since the weather was glorious, we did not venture far and it was lovely to relax and spend time on the beach without having to "go out to the beach" There are local shops and restaurants close by. We didn't want to leave, we would have liked to stay a few more days but hope we will return at some point.

The beach house was excellent and the views of the sea were amazing. It was lovely and peaceful lazing by the sea. The local attractions were easy to get to including places like Brighton. The property was on the beach which made it more relaxing, it was spacious and had everything in it to enhance our quality of stay. It was good to have the internet to look up things to do and places to go.

“A room with a view”

The Beach House is a great place to stay. The view from the lounge/diner/kitchen is beautiful & there's even a wall mirror in the kitchen so that when facing away you can still see the sea! The house is very well equipped & was immaculately clean & tidy. The beds were all very comfortable, as were the armchairs & sofa. I took my elderly parents for a short break & they were in heaven looking at the sea & watching the world walk & sail by. Renters should however note there is a £15 per person laundry supplement added to the rental cost when comparing rental prices.

Eight of my extended family stayed for a week in this lovely bungalow. It was a huge bonus to have the use of the kayaks and my 10 year old daughter especially appreciated the swing bench! We had a truly memorable holiday and all our needs were catered for, we would definitely book again.

The beach location was beautiful and very relaxing. The house was lovely. Well equipped and very clean. It is well located for either a relaxing week or a holiday enjoying the surrounding area. We did some of each, really enjoying the beach walks and the views.We had good weather and could make use of the garden. The welcome card and cake on arrival were a special touch. Would definitely return.

Three generations of our family had a wonderful time here. The house is clean, light, comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed a BBQ outside on the terrace and also a family lunch round the dining table. There are lots of places to visit locally including Pevensey Castle, Beachy Head and Sovereign Harbour.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
