Welcome to the Lillian house!

When Lillian McClelland moved her family & dairy farm from Novato to Two Rock in 1965, they settled into the farmstead house. She relocated with her Irish immigrant husband, Robert, daughters Rebecca & Saralee, and son George. Lillian always loved her home, and the great view it had of the farm and visitors as they came up the driveway. Today the farm is still managed by myself (Jana), my parents (George & Dora), farm manager Nick, and a great team of people. We welcome you to our farm, and hope you will embrace the sights, sounds, smell, and feel of an authentic organic dairy farm.

The Lillian House is two bedroom, one bathroom, with a comfortable living room, and eat in kitchen. The bedroom with connecting bathroom has a queen size bed, and other bedroom has a king size bed. Both bedrooms have flat screen TV’s. Furthermore, the Green bedroom is connected the bathroom, with double sinks, and spacious shower. The living room is complete with a queen size Murphy Bed, comfortably sleeping 6 guests. The home has a large backyard, with patio furniture, and gas fire pit.

We have tried to add all the accommodations that make our home feel like your home during your stay, complete with espresso coffee machine, toaster oven, washer & dryer, blow dryer, games to play (with adults or family), and so much more! In addition, we believe in organic and sustainable living, so bedding is both hyper allergenic and organic.

The Lillian House is located on a REAL working organic dairy farm. This means there is activity right outside of the door steps 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is extremely important for your safety that our guests stay within the area of the house, backyard, and specified parking area. If guests are interested in seeing the farm, please schedule a farm tour so you can be accompanied by a team member and guided through the area. If guests are found outside of the designated area, they may forfeit their security deposit. Please see detailed descriptions below for more details about the accommodations.

Getting around

Lillian House is located on our family farm in the countryside west of Petaluma. Because of it's rural setting, a car is necessary to be able to see the sights of local attractions such as: Russian River Valley Wine Country, Graton Rancheria Casino, Point Reyes National Seashore, Armstrong Woods, San Francisco and so much in between!

House rules

The home resides on a working organic farm. Guests are not permitted to go outside of the homes front & back yard without prior approval. Guests that would like to visit the milking area or baby calves can do so with the assistance from a team member of McClelland's Dairy. All guests 16 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult if visiting these areas.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Jana (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
