Description from owner

Description

In past years Chestnut Cottage has been popular all year round with couples, young and old, looking for a romantic break or just to get away from it all. Guests have loved the 'back to nature' experience and the basic but comfortable accomodation. The attached bathroom is effectively 'outdoors' and whilst there is hot water there is no heating in the bathroom however we have had a number of guests who have actually proposed marriage whilst staying in Chestnut Cottage (even in Winter!!)Guests can benefit from use of the owners local supermarket 'loyalty' card which gives discounts of up to 50% on a wide range of products (including wines!). One family group in 2012 'saved' the cost of their holiday using the card!!|

Further details indoors

There are no two ways about it Chestnut Cottage is compact and that is a large part of it's rustic charm and why many guests have returned time and again. I would just like to point out

There are no two ways about it Chestnut Cottage is compact and that is a large part of it's rustic charm and why many guests have returned time and again. I would just like to point out to those that might say 'there isn't enough room to swing a cat' that firstly, if you hold the cat by the base of the tale and not at the end you should be fine!! and also that there are 4 resident cats at the farm none of which have suffered serious head injuries, so clearly there is enough room :)

Further details outdoors

There is plenty of room amongst the 15 acres to find a peaceful and relaxing spot for yourselves
