Further details

The house was built centuries ago, and may not be in accordance with general rules of constructions today. There are low doors between some of the rooms, and a steep staircase between the kitchen and roof terrace. No serios mishappenings has occurred over the last nine years, however, and we have had families with small children staying with no incidents reported. All technical equipment and fittings meet modern standards and demands.

Further details indoors

Large Master bedroom with fireplace. One large children's bedroom with two single beds and two foldout beds. Sofa bed in the livingroom, suitable for two people.

It is important to note that the layout is suitable for a family, and probably not so much for two (or more) couples. From the Master bedroom, passage to the rest of the house (including the bathroom) is through the children's bedroom.

Please consult the floor plan (in the photos section) for more detail.

Although the maximum number of sleeping places is eight, we recommend a more modest occupancy rate.

Further details outdoors

Three breathtaking balconies, in front of one of the bedrooms, the livingroom and one in the front of the kitchen. The latter with an outdoor shower.

25 m² roof terrace with a shaded dining table. Stunning view over the Adriatic! From here, as the only place on mainland Italy, you can see the sun rise and the sun set in the Adriatic in the summer season. Walking distance to the beach along an ancient stairway through the castle area.

Peschici

Being protected by the Holy St Elia, the village has its major religious spectacle in the period between 17th and 22nd July, but you will find both this village and the surrounding villages in celebrating both their own and any catholic or worldly celebrity at any occasion throughout the year. In fact you would find it hard not to find any spectacle of cultural, populistic og religious carachter going on in the summer season in this region.

This area is reknowned for its numerous religios and cultural festivals, you wouldn't find a week in the summer season withour anything going on in Peschici or close by.

“Brilliant place to stay if you don't need fancy staff and crowd parties”

Reviewed 2 Jun 2013

La Rondinaia house in Peschici is brilliant place to stay with amazing sea view and great people around. We have spent 8 days in small (especially after Moscow) town Peschici with my wife and two small children (1 and 5 years old) and that was unforgettable. First of all because of amazing apartment, sea view, roof terrace where we had breakfast every morning and some bbq, Just to compare: 20 meters from the apartment there is an expensive restaurant (even for breakfast) , but the only feature of it is the same sea view. If you stay in La Rondinaia house you have it for free. People in Peschici are so friendly, they don't speak english (except few of them), but they are so open to foreigners that we communicated without any problems. In Peschici there is a great beach, especially the Orchidea place. You can find there great family (run the business: beach, restaurant and hotel) and Max (one of three sons) who speaks English and can help you in everything. The restaurant there is one of the best in the city. And of cause Anita was so helpful, even she was so far from Italy at that time. She solved the issue with the gas (we didn't know how to change the tank) on-line with less than one hour. When we needed to buy something she gave us a full report / advice how to find everything in Peschici and around. Finally iа you want to spend some time outside big city fuss La Rondinaia house in Peschici is a perfect place to visit. We will come back there next year for sure

“Best position in Peschici”

Reviewed 8 Oct 2012

This was our second stay at La Rondinaia - the owner, Anita, is extremely helpful and very pleasant to deal with. The views from the house are simply stunning with the house itself perfectly situated to explore this wonderful little town. It's within walking distance of the beach - brace yourself for the uphill climb on the way back! Well equipped and huge kitchen, although we never spent much time inside in all honesty!! As we sat drinking delicious primitivo on one of the many balconies whilst the sun set, we couldn't help but feel just a tiny bit smug. There's a high-end restaurant seconds away which you can view from the balcony but we had an ever better view without the need to book a table. Highly recommended.
