Nestled in a rustic woodland garden, with views to die for, this wee gem of a cottage is in a hidden corner of Perthshire off the beaten track but only a stones throw from the small city of Perth. The Little Lodge sleeps up to 4 people in 2 bedrooms.

The Kingsize bedroom has views towards the hills of Fife (the bed can be split into two singles) and the second bedroom looks out onto the quaint garden; a haven for red squirrels and birds, and has a single bed with a truckle bed underneath. There is also a sofabed in the lounge area.

The tranquil cottage is decorated in a simple, rustic style with an elegant and cosy Farrow and Ball colour scheme. The lounge is comfortable and has everything for a relaxing afternoon; TV, radio, DVD and CD players, WiFi, board games and a full bookcase. “Country Charm”

Reviewed 24 Sep 2016

Location is great for day trips. Such as to Loch Leven Castle (including boat ride to and from it) and to Falkirk to visit the unmissable Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies at the Helix. Perth is easily accessible and Elcho Castle just around the corner. A prior review by another reviewer set out the lodge layout and inclusions in great accurate detail. But wait there is more. Yes there are more inclusions for you to discover. A quiet area. Slept well. Could do with shower pressure being a bit stronger and a microwave would be a good touch. As far as recommending to others the answer is difficult. Definitely yes to people who liked country walking, possibly with dogs and those who wanted a country retreat experience for younger children. Not so much for couples seeking a romantic get away.

Many thanks for the kind review. We are so pleased that you enjoyed the location and you managed to visit lots of places! We have taken note of your suggestion about shower pressure and microwave. Hopefully we will be able to welcome you back in the future. Kind regards, TS Holiday Lets

“Snug, cosy, quiet little lodge”

Reviewed 27 Feb 2016

Stayed for 5 nights in this little lodge. It is in a very quiet area surrounded by fields and little else. Perfect for a quiet breakaway from it all. The gardens are fully enclosed so could be used with a dog or children, safe in the knowledge that they would all be safe. You enter from the rear of the property into a hall with coat hooks, to the left is the second bedroom, with a single bed in it, and a further bed is pulled out from underneath if required. This room was the coolest as its at the back of the property and unfortunately does not get the sun. Opposite in the hall is the bathroom, with electric shower over the bath. Note, no electric plug point to be able to shave, but is suitably adequate. Proceeding along you pass into the kitchen area. This is small, but has plenty cupboard space, but would be a little cramped if you wanted 4 to eat aro the table at one time. As we all ate separately, it was fine for us. Only item it does not have is a Microwave, other than that there was ample utensils. As a special bonus the owners had provided us with some home made cookies, a lovely selection of teas and coffees, some freely laid eggs, and a bottle of wine. A lovely touch and very appreciated. Proceeding into the livingroom, here there was plenty of seating, with a sofa and 2 single sweaters. There were covered with throws to protect them all and everything was lovely and clean. The rooms were bright and decorated tastefully in the style you would expect of the property. Overall a lovely little gem in a very quiet spot. I'm sure the garden would be a big asset in the warmer months, to sit and have a bbq and enjoy the views. We would recommend again and look forward to a return in the future. Lastly I wish to advise that the agents were fabulous in their ensuring that they dealt with any enquirer, no mater what the time of day or night. I will use them again. Well done.

We're really glad that you enjoyed your stay at the Little Lodge. I'm sure that potential guests will find your overview very valuable and it's great to hear you would return again in the future. Thanks also for your feedback on our service as an agent, that really means a lot!

“very nice and quiet loction, good for walks and relaxtion near Perth”

Reviewed 4 Jun 2014

A tidy sweet little lodge. The landlady has provided books, magazins, touristguides, DVDs and a DVD player and table games to entertain ourselves in case the wheater was not fine. The landscape around is beautiful for walking and it is possible to sit in the garden to relax or having a barbecue. These untensils are provided, too.The landlady is very nice and offered her help. It is a good place to relax but not too far from Perth and the motorway. Please, be aware I am non native if there sounds anything negative it is lost in translation. I cannot complain about anything.
