The Chalet is double glazed, comfortably furnished and decorated in a modern style with heating throughout.

Please note we clean our Chalet, we do not use “contract cleaners”.

The comfortable lounge has a Freeview Digital TV, DVD, CD and Radio as well as some books and electric heating.

The kitchen is well equipped with an electric cooker, fridge with freezer box, microwave, toaster, kettle, pots, pans, plates, bowls, glasses and cutlery. There is also a dining area with table and chairs.

There is one double bedroom, one twin bedroom; we supply all duvets and pillows and all beds will be made up for your arrival free of charge; please remember to bring your own towels and tea towels.

The bathroom has a bath (with a shower over) as well as a wash hand basin and toilet; in the cupboard there's also an iron, ironing board and a hoover.

Outside the Chalet there is a level patio area and garden chairs are available for you to use and about 20 metres away there's a grassed play area.

You can park outside the Chalet and, even though they haven't been adapted for disabled access, there is just one low step (about 10cm) into the Chalet.

Electricity is supplied via a £1 meter with the average weekly usage being about £7; this will depend, of course, upon your own use.

We are happy to accept bookings from families and couples.

A cot and highchair are available for £35.00 each per stay but I don't supply cot bedding; if you would like to hire the cot and/or highchair, it's really important that you request them before you book so that I can add the cost to your quote. Regrettably, the charge for the cot/highchair cannot be added once you have booked.

Please Note - Wifi is available from reception, not at the property itself.

We offer short breaks and can be flexible on arrival and departure days outside of the Whitsun Half Term and Summer school holidays.

However, during the main holidays, you are welcome to stay for less than a week (between Saturdays) but the full weekly tariff would apply.

Please let me know, before booking, if there are any allergies (or other issues) that may affect your ability to take this holiday or enjoy it to the full and I will be happy to make any adjustments possible.

I will need a mobile number from you in case we need to be in contact on arrival day; please ensure you include this in your details when booking.

Location description from owner

The England region

Perranporth is a lovely little town and a typical seaside resort just 6 miles southeast of Newquay and 7 miles north of Truro.
The beach is ideal for lazing around, sunbathing or (if you prefer a little more action) there's always surfing and a variety of other water based activities available.
The town has a good selection of shops…high street names as well as local speciality shops…where you can get everything from your weekly shopping to souvenirs to, of course, scrumptious Cornish pasties and clotted cream fudge !
Perranporth also boasts a good selection of bars and restaurants and even a lovely restaurant on the beach which is the perfect place to enjoy good food and drink.
There are tennis courts, a bowling green, a small pitch'n'put golf course, a football area, playpark and even a boating lake so you really are spoilt for choice !
On the outskirts of Perranporth, you can choose from golf, horse-riding, gliding or fishing as activities to enjoy and, of course, you're never far from Newquay, Truro, St Ives or, indeed, the rest of Cornwall if you fancy exploring a little.

Perranporth

The Westcountry Region
Cornwall is, of course, one of the most popular holiday destinations in the UK…is it any surprise when you consider there's over 400 miles of coastline boasting 400 beaches, some being the best in the country.
There's more to Cornwall than beaches though: the county has a good selection of shops, fascinating historical monuments and all action visitor attractions for all the family.
Let us take you on a quick tour of some of the main highlights.
Perranporth
Perranporth is well placed in North Cornwall to be an ideal base to explore the county, close to Newquay and St Ives.  The resort has 3 miles of beach which is golden and sandy although the Holiday Park has direct access to it's own private beach - so you're spoilt for choice !
There is a good selection of places to eat and drink with many having superb views over the beach...ideal if you want a breather but still want to keep an eye on the younger ones !
The boating lake in the village is a great place to try and get your "sea legs" before venturing out into the sea – good fun for all the family !  There's a surf school on the holiday park as well.
Newquay
Newquay is just 20 minutes away and has 11 superb beaches and breathtaking coastal walks and scenery.  Of course, the town is best known for being a surfing paradise but there is also the opportunity to explore the rock pools or play in the dunes.
You'll love the shops (or tea rooms when you need a break !), and if you still have energy to burn then there is plenty of nightlife.
The Zoo is well worth a visit as is the Sea Life Centre and if you need to cool off, then Newquay Waterworld is the ideal place (in all weathers !) with two pools, water flumes, the water cannon and much more.
Padstow
Padstow is as it was years ago with mediaeval white washed cottages, a busy quay, narrow streets and that quaint Cornish atmosphere.
The town is located on the beautiful and rugged North Cornwall coast with its towering cliffs, wide sandy beaches, hidden coves and surrounded by peaceful countryside.
There are many restaurants and pubs serving excellent food and nearby there's a choice of 7 beautiful beaches - one for each day of the week ! If you like music, why not sample the atmosphere of the Summer Concerts at Padstow Harbour.
There are so many things to do in Padstow and for all ages !  Obviously, the harbour is central to everything that goes on and it is great to sit and watch the fishermen ply their trade throughout the day.
Truro
Situated halfway along the length of Cornwall, the city of Truro stands proud as Cornwall's capital.
The cathedral dominates the city centre beautifully and the museum and art gallery, which houses a splendid collection, tell the story of both Truro and Cornwall.
There is an excellent selection of high street shops as well as local retailers to choose from and plenty of places to stop for refreshment.
St Agnes
St. Agnes is a picturesque village not far from Perranporth which is steeped in mining history but retains atraditional Cornish atmosphere.
There are four varied beaches, plenty of dramatic coastal walks and breathtaking scenery.
Of course, after all that activity, there are many places to have that cream tea or just a pot of tea !

“A great base to explore Cornwall, good for kids and adults.”

Reviewed 7 Jul 2015

Found this accommodation searching for a cheap get away for us and our young Daughter. Have wanted to get back to Cornwall for years. The location is great for getting to places further up the coast and down towards Land's End, we visited St. Michael's Mount, Tintagel Castle (a must see if you can handle the steps), Land's End and Padstow, all within reasonable driving distance (nothing compared to the initial journey there). The accommodation itself was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The double bed could have been slightly larger, but was fine for a week even with a Pregnant wife. There are swimming pool facilities on site, and several restaurants, cafes etc. and a shop. Note that we needed to get 'entertainment passes' to use the swimming pool, these would have been more if we went during peak season. Also note that the laundrette was going to cost about £6 for a load and you need your own washing powder/liquid. The walk to the closest beach is down a steep path with a concrete ramp section at the bottom, we preferred to drive a mile or so down the road and park at Perranporth (£4 for the day at one of the car parks on the inland side of the road), it's a lovely village with at least 3 places to get pasties, good facilities on and near the beach. The Watering Hole on the beach is worth a visit, we didn't eat there but nice place to have a drink and sit outside with an amazing view. All in all a very nice break and we plan to return.

“Just Perfect!”

Reviewed 30 Jun 2015

Could not have asked for better accommodation and would go back in a heartbeat. The chalet was very homely and clean when we arrived; the tea and biscuits on arrival were very much appreciated! Could not fault the chalet at all! Everything you could possibly need was provided and was very sad to leave the place. The park itself is great, a 5 minute walk to the beach, with shops, takeaways and bars all on the site. I read other reviews complaining about the price of passes to use the Haven facilities, however we only had to pay 20 pound for the week, which was money well spent as we used the pool everyday. We did not have a car, which was not a problem, as buses to Truro, Newquay and St. Ives all stop in the park itself. It is not a long walk to Perranporth itself either; approximately 15 mins over the clifftops. I would recommend the chalet to anyone and hope to return there! Thank you so much!
