The location of Chateau Wafu is ideal for exploring all that Cornwall has to offer as well as having easy access to the main A30 road and Newquay airport.
Our holiday home is a Horizon 2013 (Deluxe) which has 1 double bedroom, 2 twin bedrooms and a double sofa bed; a family bathroom with shower and additional WC; the kitchen area opens into a large lounge, with free standing dining table, perfect for all the family to relax. We provide all the essentials required* (so no need to bring the kitchen sink!) with the added benefit of eat in / takeaway restaurants (with a delivery service); essentials shop and a launderette.
We have also stocked the caravan full of a selection of books, DVD's, a Nintendo Wii with a few games as well as a couple of family favourite board games - perfect for those nights in!
The Haven Perran Sands complex has fantastic facilities which are available** to you, these include both indoor and outdoor pools, adventure golf, archery and a climbing wall. For the more adventurous there are kayaking and surfing lessons and for those wanting to sit back and relax there is the sun terrace.
Perran Sands also benefits from a private beach which is approximately a 5 minute walk from Chateau Wafu; from here you can follow the 3 miles of sandy beach to access Perranporth town which has a great range of shops and restaurants (that's if you can resist a visit to The Watering Hole, the UK's only bar on the beach!)
Being dogs lovers ourselves we would be delighted if you wanted your furry friends to enjoy your holiday too, we only ask that you treat our home as carefully as your own so that others can enjoy bringing their friends too.
* No linen or towelling provided, linen can be supplied from Haven with small refundable deposit
**A Haven Pass-card may be required for some activities, these can be purchased when checking into the resort

The Cornwall region
Cornwall is famous for its endless golden beaches but it has much more to offer...

Perranporth is a seaside village located on the North Cast of Cornwall approximately 8 miles from the infamous Fistral Beach in Newquay. Within the village there is a wide selection of resturants and cafes along with some essential shops and a few excellent specialist water sports shops, who also hire out equipment.
Events are organised throughout the year ranging from Food, Literature, Arts and Folk Festivals to Gig Rowing and Surfing Championships, not to mention May Days and Flora Days - so much to choose from it is difficult to keep up! "a thoroughly enjoyable holiday"
The location of the property could not be more convenient, less than a minute away are stunning views across Perran Bay - perfect for watching the sun set from. In less than five minutes you come to the South West Coast Path, and beyond that is the huge stretch of Perran Beach. The site lends itself to walking and all sorts of outdoor pursuits, and the ease of access to the coast path means that both Perranporth (a mile to the south and also accessible via the beach at low tide) and Holywell (three miles to the north) are easy to get to. Both have excellent pubs for refreshment - the Watering Hole and the Treguth Inn respectively are well recommended! Slightly further afield and you have access to the stunningly beautiful St. Agnes heritage coast, Newquay, the Bedruthan Steps, Falmouth, St. Mawes, and Truro. The Perran Sands site sits within the Penal Dune system and offers many shorter rambles around the area made famous by St. Piran; you may also stumble across the remains of St. Piran's Church and the odd stone cross too. Accessing the site via public transport is a doddle - with a regular, reliable and inexpensive bus service between Truro station and the Perran Sands site; it also serves St. Agnes and Newquay for those who wish to go further afield. The property is large, spacious and comfortably appointed, it was clean, tidy and excellently equipped with books, computer consoles, games, DVDs and CDs, etc... The site also has a selection of venues for food, drink and entertainment; I only really made use of the shop, which was well stocked and convenient. The communication from the owner was also top notch so organising the holiday was a doddle. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable holiday in a most wonderful corners of Cornwall that I would recommend to everyone. Witnessing stunningly beautiful sunsets, every single night, for a photographer is a real treat and I was so pleased to come away with so many photos. I will definitely be back again!
Thank you so much for your review and very helpful information on the surrounding area! We hope that you are able to visit us again next year to explore some more of what Cornwall has to offer. Many thanks again

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Wafu. Being just the 2 of us in a home for up to 8 meant we had loads of space. The location was fantastic as not only could you walk out to view Perran sands and Perranporth easily but was only a short walk from all the facilities on site. In rainy weather even shorter by car. There were places to eat and a shop for eating in and we also used the crazy golf. Lots of things for kids to do such as trampolining which looked good but being senior people we decided not to attempt!! As with all things in life there were some minor irritations such as pilot light on boiler not being on which meant working out how to light that and we could not get the Wii to work, there not being any instructions on this but we think the batteries were flat in the controls. Also we were puzzled as to why a DVD player is advertised but home had no DVDs only CDs. However the plusses far outweighed these and we had a fantastic holiday in WAFU...would recommend to anyone who wants a faboulous location with great feacilities on site.
We are delighted that you had a great holiday - thank you for taking the time to write us this review! We have taken note of your comments regarding instructions for the Wii and lighting the pilot light should it be out, and we are looking to include some instructions for these in the future. We hope that you will visit us again should you be visiting the West Country in the future. Thank you, Caroline
