Location description from owner

The England region

West Cornwall is a beautiful part of the UK famed for its rugged granite coastline, quaint fishing villages and spectacular beaches. With its tin mining heritage, and earlier neolithic history there are many unique and interesting inland walks featuring granite quoits, monuments and the historic engine houses punctuating the landscape. Local culture is vibrant with amazing talent in local theatre groups (home of the 'Kneehigh'), and the world famous Minack theatre set in the cliffs at Porthcurno is a must (with requisite picnic and bottle of wine!). Local art positively oozes from the seams in this part of the county and with the Newlyn and St Ives schools and of course The Tate St Ives there is much to see and buy. We are also not too far for day trips to Truro, Falmouth and the amazing Eden Project, St Austell. We are also ideally placed for day trips or longer to the Isles of Scilly.

Penzance

Our location is a quiet small hamlet (a farmhouse, 2 converted barns and a newer house) just a lane away from the local village which has bus links, a pub, a pharmacy, a bakery, fish and chip shop and 2 village stores - and of course the pub!Penzance is 20 mins walk or 5 mins in the car. The main London Paddington train terminates in Penzance station which is adjacent to the bus station.
